So.. saying that Vast isn't wrong is usless.. And of course ORIGIN.. is sooo perfect.. and honest.. and if you don't agree with him. then you are a fanboui? LOL. Your argument is pathetic.. I will put this in the simplest..easiest terms for you guys to understand.. and see if you DARE argue the validity of my points..

1. Has Vast or Fiku been censured by SONY/SWG/LUCAS ARTS?

2. Has Vast or Fiku been informed by a ingame CSR (who's authority is way more then yours) and that CSR cleared him/them of any "infractions"?

3. Have you continued to slander their names.. even though the above two statements are true?

4. Did I specifically attack anybody?? or was I the one who was called fanboui and fagboui? (just curious.. it seems like your side is the one who's degerated the conversations)

5. Why is it that you don't care about the fact that SONY or SWG or LucasArtseither say this is OK.. or they don't care enough to even talk to the concerned parties? (I know they are overworked, but according to you.. this is a HUGE hole in the game.?

6. If you ORIGIN.. or other weaponsmiths KNOW how to duplicate this "exploit".. That means you must have and are performing the said "EXPLOIT" to create weapons yourself? Now of course if you are honorable I am sure you destroyed these weapons right after you showed them to a CSR.. or a developer.because of course you wouldn't DARE sell them.. (being honorable and all) YES? NO?

8.The only way to solve this is through actual in game "fixes" then.. it's up to SWG team to decide what is really going on.. RIGHT?

7. You keep saying that Fiku and Vast aren't posting here.. (again.. because Fiku quit) and Vast because he's tired of talking to you ORIGIN in particular. He found out that you obtained some resources from a CSR though lying about losing resources through a game glitch (now I admit.. he doesn't have proof of that either.. but when you asked him the day before if he had any of a certain non spawning material because you were out .. and then the next day.. you suddenly have a ton of specific resources that no longer spawn because a CSR duplicated what you "LOST") it's kinda iffy on the ethics...

magius, this fix isnt that far off, then you will see the patch report that says something like

Fixed a bug in experimentation that allowed creating weapons that are too powerful

something similar to what happened first couple weeks of the game will be posted again. When it does happen I am going to be looking for YOUR post, I was YOU, at that time, to appologize to EVERYONE in this forum. Can you do that? The day this exploit is removed will you post in here and admit you jumped to the wrong conclusions and that just becuse some nitwit CSR that makes $8/hr couldnt see the exploit does not exhonorate them. Will YOU have the personal integrity to come in here and appologize? I doubt it , you've already called us stupid for not using the same exploit for our own gain. Youve already expressed complete disbelief that anyone has any integrity such as that. My guess is that your projecting your own lack there of onto everyone else.

Do you not understand what exploiting does to a game? Its not about rules and laws, its about doing something to such an extreme theres no point for anyone to play because the fun got sucked out of the game. Exploiters do it and do it and do it till they get bored, afterall when you exploit therse no challenge. Without challenge there is no point in playing. Within a short period of time Exploiters leave a game from boredom but in their wake they leave a lot of other disheartened players who leave the game too. The life and challenge has been sucked out of the game and takes moths to rebuild the lost momentum. Most of the players that left never return. To me that translates into not enjoying the game. To SOE that translates into billion in lost revenue. Its a much bigger issue than you can comprehend. I happen to enjoy this game, its been the first MMORPG ive been able to enjoy as I have never been into prancing around in tights and swords. I really dont want to see this game go down in flames because one or two smiths executed the last straw that broke the proverbial camels back.

I know they ruin the game.. I know that they hurt EVERYONE in the game.. What I am debating is whether or not this is truly and exploit. I have seen vast make his weapons. I know his procedures.. And what he has showed me how he increases his stats.. is part of the game itself. His basic NON KRYAT guns are better then anybody elses.. PERIOD.

You never did answer the above questions.. but.. back to your words.. IF this is fixed and it is listed as an "EXPLOIT" then of course.. I will admit it.. But.. if this is an EXPLOIT why hasn't a SINGLEnon player person said anything? That's what I don't get..

Now back to the integrity part.. HAVE YOU EVER DUPLICATED THIS EFFECT?? YES OR NO?

When you duplicated it. DID YOU USE THE GUNS IN ANY WAY? Other then to show them to the CSR's or a developer? YES OR NO..

Answer those questions I DARE YOU.

One other thing you seem to keep ignoring Magnus is Taurin's post - just 5 posts before your first post in this thread. I'm not sure if you realize who Taurin is and what is job is, so just to make sure you do know - Taurin is the dev whose main gig is to deal with exploits. SOE doesn't like to acknowledge that exploits exist before they have fixed them, so the fact that Taurin posted about this one before it is fixed is very significant.

Let's look at what he said -

"I am working with the dev team and CS departmentto not only fix what might be broken, so that no one can do it in the future, but also try and determine if any players are involved are using it as an unfair advantage. "

Now Taurin doesn't want to give away any details about this exploit so he doesn't refer to it directly but indirectly says we are not only going to fix it so it can't be used in the future but we are also going to try to find the players who are benefiting from it. To me that strongly implies that in addition to fixing this exploit they are going look for stock piles of these weapons and delete them. That is a pretty radical action for them to take.

In any case whether my speculation about the weapons being deleted is correct, this is one of the strongest statements i have seen SOE make about an exploit prior to it being fixed. If you have followed any of Torin's other posts about exploits there can't be much doubt that he regards this exploit as being critical to fix.

Finally look at this situation from the game's design. Once any player reaches master status in any profession they are supposed to be at the same skill level as all of the other players who have mastered that profession. For example, every master pistoleer's special moves are supposed to have the same effects, there isn't supposed to be some special secret thing to make one master pistoleer more powerful than the rest of them. There isn't supposed to some special trick that will let one master creature handler call more creatures out at any given time than all the rest of the master creature handlers. Just the same there isn't supposed to be some special trick or fluke of luck that makes one Master weaponsmith make better guns than all of the rest of the weaponsmiths. By its very nature any operation of the game that gives one master weaponsmith an ability that none of the others have is an exploit. In fact that is the very definition of an exploit. When a player discovers something like this they are supposed to PM Taurin about it or /bug it, not use it make 1000's of objects with it, or to kill 1000's Rancors with it.One of the things that sets the "good" players from the "bad" isn't whether they charge 20,000 or 150,000 credits for a weapon but whether they use an exploit or report it.

I'll give you an example of how this hurts a hard working master weaponsmith. Yesterday someone came in my shop looking for a DX2. I asked the stats on her current DX2: 96-166 2.2 or something. That's better than I can possibly make with the best resources collected since week 2 of launch. I could maybe get that kind of damage using both advanced components, but we all know (on Ahazi) you get more damage and worse speed with advanced stuff. So mine would probably look like 100-166 2.7 or something like that...no where near 2.2. I don't know for sure if it was a bugged gun. It could have used perhaps 4 high energy power capacitors...but I doubt it. I've been smithing long enough that I can say if I had all 10 bars to experiment with on one of my current DX2's that 96-166 2.2 would be about right for how it would end up. So there's my 2 cents on this exploit. I won't use it. I may have been using it without my knowledge in the past. I say this because I had some strange experiences with stats that I could never reproduce on a couple guns, this makes me think I may have had some bugged components at one time. That could be the case with the maker of the DX2 I described. They may not even realize what they did. Either way, it needs to be fixed before the dishonest people start doing it on purpose.

Not that I`m in a rush to answer but I have a pair unlike Vast who lets the kiddies blindly defend him. I made the guns twice with a CSR present to show it was not a fluke and the Guns were turned over.

Now tell Vast to grow some and come defend himself if he is really so innocent. Hes still scamming folks and his time will come.

Need I comment about the numerous posts stating by you and assuming that everyone uses exploits?

If you have truly seen him use this bug. Then you cannot refute what we've been saying. This isn't just an abnormality that happens, theres a series of steps and a loss initial resources involved in the first schematic to do this. There is no way to mistake this IF he showed you what he was doing.

Taurin and Xahn have BOTH acknowledged this as an exploit that NEEDS to be fixed.

I immediately destroyed the gun and schematics as well as informed bria and the weaponsmithing boards. Furthermore, I have been one of the people constantly asking for this exploit to be fixed.

Answer those questions I DARE YOU.

I have answered those questions. I still do not, however, see how you can blindly follow in your friends wake without examining the facts. The entire profession of his peers is skeptical and many know exactly what is going on with his guns. He may never have gotten caught if Fiku hadn't have exploited so opening and so much.
