Thread: This isn't Exploited right? Clicky inside!!
To change the subject a little bit, I would really really, REALLY like to know why the serial number has been blanked from the screenshot.
I'm just speculating, but there has been debates about other (non-ws) crafted items going above caps, where the person responsible for making them didn't want to disclose the serial number.

Well i would personally stpo calling it an exploit but hes kinda made a second weapon with the same kind of results EVEN AFTER POSTING HERE HE WILL NEVER DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT AGAIN?!? and a Bug is an exploit. The defination of Exploit for SWG is a =A bug that is used by a player more then once knowing full well what hes doing is wrong and he should be reporting it
the funny thing is you actually gave the correct definition in your post after a sematically wrong sentance. a bug is NOT an exploit. an exploit is a bug that players take advantage of to either achieve goals, or achieve them faster than is intended. a bug is a doorway to the world of exploitation ![]()
which brings up another question: is that the correct definition of the word "exploit"? we have a semi-functioning economy in this game, right? when you notice a market that is particularly ripe for the plucking, are you not exploiting the player bases' demand for that market when you start raising prices? if you have 10x the capabilities as someone else selling a service or merchandise, are you not exploiting your ability to do something faster/better/cheaper by decreasing prices to gain control of that market? when you duel another player and see that they make the same mistake over and over again, are you not exploiting that knowledge in able to more efficiently wtfmcpwn them? so, what is the TRUE deifintion of the word "exploit"?
1. An act or deed, especially a brilliant or heroic one
2. To employ to the greatest possible advantage
3. To make use of selfishly or unethically

I agree with you but if u read the agreement everytime you log in which i seriously doubt. Youll notice it says you cannot do something of the area i stated in my sentence. Yes theres tons of diffrent definations of exploit. The one about the makret is a exploit but diffrent defination. im talking about the exploit that we all are familiar with and all agree that we will not exploit this game in any way. your right i just didnt specify enough for others to understand
don't worry.. i just wanted to be an ass for a little bit. i don't get to do it much anymore...

Being directed to this post a couple days ago, it was recommended that given the immediate attacks and 'Exploit this', 'Exploit that' nature of the post that I first attempt to discuss the issue with an SOE representative. I have not yet received a response from this representative and cannot bear waiting for this response any longer so I've decided to post.
The following message is what was forwarded to this representative,
Hi, I was told to contact you regarding the following post on the forum.
http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=weaponsmith&message.id=93254
I did not mean to cause any drama. I made this weapon a few weeks ago with normal stats and it was used by a BH friend that used a token respec to go melee and gave the weapon back for me to sell. When i removed the powerup from the weapon it converted to these high damages so i didn't sell it, I put it on display.
Yesterday (or a couple days ago?) I gave it to a BH that has been doing BH missions and getting me the new loot components. He then made a post entitled 'This isn't Exploited, right?' on the forum and everyone is talking about the weapon being exploited. So I was directed to you to explain the situation.
I realize that I shouldn't have given anyone the weapon, and probably should have just submitted a ticket regarding the weapon, and i'm hoping that this doesn't result in very harsh punishment.
If you need to make an example of me by suspending or something i may deserve this, but please take in regard that i'm turning myself in so I am not permanantly suspended.
If you need anymore information I will check for a reply and help as much as I can.
Regards,
Solscraft
To elaborate on the above; I crafted 3 Heavy Lightning Rifles 3-4 weeks ago that were given to my BH friend that respec'd. One of these weapons sold and was returned to me shortly after because after the final damage slice the damage of the weapon actually went down! The second one was this weapon and it converted in reverse and ended up with higher damage than normal. The third weapon I still had in stock un-sold but destroyed after reading this thread. I did not intend to let this bugged weapon out on to the market, and intended only to display it in the shop until the original poster drooled all over the weapon and offered to give me some of the BH loot in return....
Now I feel like i've sold my soul.I always strive to make the best; I have tissues, shards, bones and geo components that had been collected for almost 2 years in storage that I only recently felt comfortable making weapons with! Now my competition is obviously trying to smash me by saying 'All my weapons are like this' and claiming that there are HLR's all over the server that are bugged with my name on them and this is simply insulting and UNTRUE!
Now I made myself a target by walking into the enemy camp that is already biased and formed their own opinions on the matter. I do believe I did wrong by not reporting the weapon and letting it get this far; I don't believe that it's fair to condemn my entire business or make untrue stories....
I apologize, may my penalty be just...
Solscraft
as far as i am concerned, if your statements are true, then i hold nothing against you. we have all "sold ourselves' in some way at some point in life. in a game is even easier, and i've done it myself and had to ask forgiveness, because of the level on anonymity involved. the issue i have with what was posted is that still no one in the CSR dept had gotten back to you, and this is a pretty serious issues, since it is an MBH weapon. there are no telling how many jedi lost XP to this weapon or how many marks were defeated that shouldn't have been. the damage done here, in my opinion, is linked to you, but ultimately done by a slow moving CSR team that should have snapped this up quickly when you posted.
Haha no worrys on my part. i always like a good bout. and yeah must suck being a correspondent and all you need to set the "Example" lol. thats why i never volunteer for anything lol

Ive been playing on Tarquinas since Live, and Ive bought from every weaponsmith worth his salt. Everyone has their favorite weaponsmiths. Who is top dog seems to change every month on Tarq. But as we say on the Tarq forums, we Tarquians love our DRAMA. The Rifle exsisted, the story is true. Does Sol make other guns like this? No. Does he make good weapons with exceptional loot? Yes. Why has your business gone down? Because people dont use the Galaxy wide Vendor search much. Because a new player will believe anything you tell him because he doesnt know better, and pretty soon all of them think their weapon is uber because it was made by Sol.
Why are you getting e-mails about your weapons not being as good as his? Because some retard doesnt realize what a Powerup is.
Id bet serious cash most of YOU ALL would have kept the exploited weapon or given it to a close friend too. So stop acting so holier then thou. The man apologized, get over it.
No bignastyd is not = solscraft
I think the guy trying to sell this did some photoshopping to put bignastyd in as creator so the weapon would not be associated with the one in this thread that has already been openly addressed as being bugged.
Sounds to me like RYUK (er whoever the original poster was of this thread was) is passing it off for this guy (Omnacide?) to sell.
so is bignastyd = solscraft or are there multiple people doing this now?
heres the shot with weapon creator listed.
