Thread: Publish 24 Resource Bug **The Devs are working on a fix**
im just glad we have a 998CD 1000OQ steel on our server so shouldnt be hit too hard for that
we are still shafted on generic iron and copper tho, I hope this either gets fixed or explained

It has not been reverted to a pre-CU state, I think.
Someone else already mentioned it, but the caps were raised because there is now going to be 1000 CD steel and iron possible on Mustafar. Granted some fo the JTL resources were above the old caps, but now they have brought the caps in line with what is possible, which makes sense, but doesn't make me happy.
hmm, not on chimaera... only 1 steel over 900 CD, but with 58 OQ... :-(
so we'll loose some little % using steel and ferrous metal...
i've got 2 steels 889/802 and 741/911, it's funny that the 2nd one worked better when steel or ferrous metal is required, and first was better when used as metal... now there's no difference between use in ferrous metal or simply metal...
for iron, it just make some guns uncraftable until a nice iron with 900 CD spawn...
if it really comes one day...

hmm, i don't understand why you're shafted with copper...
as there's no special cap for generic copper... (as ws stuff)
I want all my weapons to be highest quality, and don't think its acceptable for certain weapons or professions to be hit like this, expecially without any comment from the Devs after 2 days now.
And its a lot more than Commando Weapons - there are weapons from every class that are affected.

Of course we all want the highest quality on all weapons, but give me a break.. this has not been the case from day one and I have been a weaponsmith for 20 months now.. At one point melee was unbeatable, at another ranged was, now melee is subpar as are commando weapons..pistols were inferior at one time and I can go on and on..Its not equal and will never be.. Never wereALL weapons craftable to perfection.. never...Its the reality of this game and you won't change it I believe..That is why we have best sellers and people congregating in certain professions.. TKM for example, prior to CU was the thing to be.. I can go on and on but wont..
Okay, I did some testing.. on highcapacityscatters, only because thats all I have had time to do.. absolutely no difference mustafar steel being substituted.. 28 percent on my server.. as b4.. and final stats come in same as always.. capped damage, 948 (yes using 180' stat powercell),67 sac, capped speed after slice, not shabby.. one amazing while crafting..Does anyone on their server sell anything but enhanced weapons?? Not happening on Bria...

I sell a lot of Unenhanced weapons, as do a lot of other Weaponsmiths and a good % of my range have been affected by this.
Try any weapon requiring "Iron", a lot of servers have good Cond and OQ steel so things like Scatter pistols are not really effected.
Try making Tusken Rifles, Bezerker Rifles, Light Lighting Rifle, Plasma Flame Throwers, Heavy Acid Rifles (pretty much any commando weapon), Intimidator Pistols, FWG5 Pistols and many more and compare the stats to before this went live.

I spent a lot of time and credits harvesting and buying the best generic Steels and Irons I could to craft with, these were fine pre CU and post CU, not so, post pub 24.
This is real kick in the teeth, I am not a resource wh0r3 and do not have lots of different Steel and Iron stashed away, I have lost orders this week with people going elsewhere, or just deciding to wait to see if it is a nerf or a bug.
I just wanna know whether this is a bug or a nerf, will my good resources be good again...or am i gonna have to buy a second copy of ToOWso I can send mycl1 WS toon to Mustafa to hand harvest the new uncapped stuff , certain death of course, seeing as the lowest levelmob i saw there in beta was cl70.

you used mustafarian steel. theres no difference pre and post experimentation stat bug to you because you arent using the same resources. this isnt a valid test. you are basically confirming the crafting bug. if you had used a previous 1000oq 650cd steel then you would haveconfirmed thereduction in stats, but if you replace it with a 1000oq 1000cd steel from the new planet then sure, it is going to craft the same as a 1000/650 steel before the bug was introduced. youre basically proving what everyone is up in arms against.
Which is fine if we are all to spend hours and hours manually harvesting on a hostile planet or spent 100-200cpu on Resource Kits.

Generic means anything that's not a required named resource, such as when it says just Metal in a schem ingredients.
And it won't matter what spawns on Mustafarce, harvs can't be planted there anyway, so buying a pair of kneepads is recommended.
Seemslike allowing harv's tobe planted on Mustafarwould fix this whole problem. Then WS's could get their stash of decent metals and weapon crafting can go back to normal. If most resources on Mustafar have high numbers, it shouldn't take long for new Mustafar resources to replace existing "bests". So for a short time (month or two) weapons will be below-average until the spawns on Mustafar get us back to where we were before this Pub.24 change.
The good news is that we won't have to keep track of all the various max stats on gated resources and have to compare every resource against a spreadsheet of the max ever spawned (which is a pain!).
It now changes to simple 1000-basedmath for all crafting experimentation in all professions, and all resources can get up to 1000 now (albiet only on Mustafar). So if you couldplant harv's on Mustafar, everyone could get their stash of high-stat resources and the "best ever" would always be 990+ on all important stats. So this change simplifies everything!
