Thread: Publish 24 Resource Bug **The Devs are working on a fix**

/cry "Not again!" You know I can live with whatever system they decide they want to use. It is the changing of the system that bothers me. Last time this happened I was an AS. Well I've since switched and resources were bought based on the May 10th method. I'm afraid to log my WS on and even look at all of the new iron I bought with CD85 (capped).

Should be ok, is that Plumbum Iron? If your using it in a named resouce slot it appears to be working fine.
I don't think pre-cu resources took a hit, I think they got better. What's different? You still look for the best CD/OQ combos..?

CU came out and we had to go and search for the "new" best resources to fit the "new" way of calculating. Now they change it back topre-cu calculating and again, we are made to go out looking for the "new" best resources to fit this type. ugh. We will do it and c and moan and groan while we are doing it I guess lol. good looking out tho summer!
lets keep this thread about the experimentation results based on resource caps changing in some circumstances, thanks goes to summer for bringing it to the forefront on the corr forums.
the other issue, seperate or perhaps linked, is the mustafar resources. yes they are not capped like the shipwright resources, but the issue is exaggerated by the fact that
- it seems these resources (the metal for sure) are not totally randomized in stats like shipwright resources and seem to be intentionally spawning at extremely high stats. this has been confirmed on all servers reporting.
- we have to buy an expansion and hand sample to acquire these intentionally uber resources.
this should be seperately investigated, im my opinion of course.

I could write several paragraphs about why it is different. If you can't see the picture already though it probably would be a waste of time. So I'll put it this way in one sentence.
No matter what all weapons using generic weapons will be _lower_ quality as compared to Pre-pub24 schematic runs.

Exactly.
Take a steel I used before. It was about 98% under the old system. Now that steel is still in the 98 percentile of ALL steels available but it is now only being used as about 75% of max in my schems. As a result pretty much all schems will have lower quality than pre-pub24.
Mobs got insanely harder, available loot will decrease and weapons get dumbed down.

Gee, isn't this day bady enough already? I just checked for myself and the conducivity on this iron is 254, not 754 as entered and verified??? My heart is slowing.
*a little sigh*
Karlie.
if it's not a bug, they should have tell us they were changing the crafting, with moving the caps on some kind of resources...
as far as i've seen (as ws), only iron, steel and ferrous metal using CD are concerned by the problem...
as for specific resources, nothing have changed, and for others, caps were already at 1000...
so it can affect other profession too if they use a generic resource which have a cap under 1000.
but it occurs in a lot of ranged weapons schematics... included best ones like ALR, e11 carb mkII, DL44XT, high cap scatter, and more...
the problem is bigger with iron than with steel, because iron had a cap of 500 CD, and steel (don't know) can have over 800 CD..
so if anyone have some news from the devs, please tell us...
bug or nerf ?
