Okay, making more mental notes here. I may specialize in one type of weapon and name my vendor just that, to at least try and reduce the tells.
Sheesh...you guys go through more childish prattle than a kindergarten teacher.
Here is my #1 customer tell interaction....
Customer: Hey, you there?!
Me: Yes, whatcha need?
Customer: You stocked any VK's yet?
Me: Just got threw slicing them and about to throw 100 or so on the vendor.
Customer: Cool, can you save me the best damage and speed sliced, I can pick them up tomorrow or the next day, I will pay extra..!!?!
That is the thing that irritates me the most. If i were to save the ones for ppl's requests I would be stocking 20 or so weapons of each type and then it would be theones that got the 20-25ish slices....

What's said is that I'm sure a lot of us in a measure to preserve our sanity put these kind of exchanges out of our minds almost immediately, so some of the best stories I forget.

Architect? Architect needs steel/ore/steel/ore/and some small amounts of other generic resources. Architect is crafting for dummies compared to the other crafting classes.
In defense of a few "random bob's" I have to say its depressing wandring about to vendors accross planets only to find empty vendors as in not even a single power up. (4 weaponvendors in one tent is my record now I think.) Its tempting to send a tell if he makes weapons then 
When I finaly found a weapons vendorthat got weapons and even gota flamer (YaY!) it got stats of something like: speed,5.5 secs, dmg of 300-600 anda HAMof 150-50-50 and its speed slicedand want 110k. Then its very tempting to send a tell if "you could make a weapon with the "good stuff" with a discount
Well it took me a while but I found me a great weapons supplier. Flamers are 4.5 speed, dmg of450-837 and 72-17-17 HAM for 5k creds unsliced (Speed slice took it down to 3.5 secs). I bought a few of him. That kinda guys get my featherwight FWG5and Enhanced Carabine schematicfor free. It was such a relief to find him and his shop. Way out in nomansland.
Echal everything you told me about being a WS and the people you encounter all came true!

Customer- Can you make me a [insert loot weaponhere]?
Me- I dont have the schematic or parts to make it
Customer- What does it take?
Me- [Insert x-amount of this looted part, x-color of this looted part, with x-amount of this loot glue]
Customer- Hey I have a bunch or [x-amounts of looted parts]!
Me- Ok give them to me and I will make yoiur gun for you, you pay for the resources required
Customer- How much are you going to pay me for the lootedparts?
Me- /addignore walk away
I tell you what, I have folks following me around for hours waiting there turn to get a custom weapon or something built. Randon Passerbyers wanting this and that
brief conversation I had from last week....
Random Person: "Hey."
Me: "Hey."
RP: "Are you a weaponsmith?"
Me: "How did you find my name?"
RP: "I searched for weaponsmiths and your name came up."
Me: "Then yes, I guess I'm a weaponsmith."
RP: "Cool, do you have any flamethrowers?"
Me: "Yes, I have some flamethrowers on my vendor. Would you like the waypoint?"
RP: "Yeah, but only if they're good."
sent him the waypoint, despite my better judgement.... then about half an hour later....
RP: "Hey, I'm at your shop. Nice flamethrowers. Is this the best you can make?"
Me: "With normal resources yes. But if you're looking for something special, I have one on my wall of fame if you're interested. Take a look."
RP: "Oooooooh... I have to have it!!! How much?"
Me: "Well, it's expensive. It uses a form-fitting stock and those go for 100K, and it's already sliced for damage. Someone offered me 300K for it, but they ran low on funds and had to back out. So I'm charging 300K for it."
(here's the punchline that threw me for a loop)
RP: "That's too much. Can you sell it to me for less? I'm jewish."

If I may I will scare you a little more then I have 120 individual stacks of unique resources for my WS shop (then there is the 22million units in my bank as back-up and I am a small scale WS)and I still do not have enough to make absolutely everything (I ignore the mutions stuff mostly). NOw some of the 120 are doubled up ie high SR polymer vs high OQ etc need em both but they are only one type etc.
to get back OT I make a point of asking a question now when I greet another crafter (or doc when I want buffs etc) as I know how much it pisses me off.
(this thread needs a sticky I reckon)
So all I sell is sliced weapons...and I get this question daily:
Customer: What are the stats for your sliced [insert gun name here]
Me: I tell you what....why don't you tell me the stats of every gun you've owned since you started playing.
Customer: I don't remember all of them.
Me: Exactly.
Customer: So what are the stats for your sliced [insert same gun name here]?
Me: Did you eat paint chips as a child?
