Thread: New macro that works with practice...
As a follow-up to earlier problems we were having with getting the script to run, it seems that changing those two conditions made it work (went through a good 100 PRB's last night with it.)
1. make sure that the crafting confirmation options are on
2. put both /nextCraftingStage and /createPrototype statements on the same line (e.g., /nextCraftingStage; /nextCraftingStage
instead of being seperated by a carriage return.
It still says "Your crafting session has been ended!", but at least the steel that I double-clicked in was gone and practice XP replaced it was there.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isnt the fact that MajorGrind calls for toolbarSlot01 first incorrect?
Bear with me. F1 (the first slot) is toolbarSlot00. Yet toolbarSlot00 is NEVER called in this macro despite the fact that he says he put a crafting kit in toolbarSlot00.
can anyone tell me what the number of a rifle barrel is?(the one that just uses steel)
oh and i'm at firearms crafting 2 if thats any help

Right Liem, the 1st crafting kit should be in toolbarSlot00 & everything else follows after that.
Also, just want to thank the creator Frooniumdrive for this excellent macro, didnt care for the grind for awhile, but this woke me up & made things so much easier!!
Ok - great macro. Seriously. I love you. 
I am having a problem with the MajorGrind Macro, however. All it says is that it has failed to start the crafting session, then my avatar says out loud "Pause 8." The regular grind macros work just fine and dandy. All my numbering is correct, I am certain, and I am nowhere near any crafting station. I also have the crafting confirmations on.
Am I missing something here? I am building Armor Upgrade Kits, as I am an armorsmith. Any help would be appreciated, and once again, great macro!
I wrote the post around 1 am. I was giddy and probably messed it up. I have since cleaned up the thing a bit, so that it starts with toolbarSlot00 and procedes in order. I think the intent is clear however.
Majorgrind calles grind1, grind 2, grind 3, grind 4, grind 5, and Majorgrind
There are pauses between each grind call. I am a tailor and only need about 4 seconds on the inside of each grind so I currently use a 9 second pause as I am grinding Cartridge Belts (3 components).
Within each grind you have to call the crafting station, pause, select the schematic, pause significantly (4 seconds for me), give it 2 next statements and 2 /createPrototype practice no item lines. This assumes that you are working nowhere near a crafting station.
I now have a /dump macro sitting in the same set of hotkeys as my other bars have been filling up. I made a medgrind1 through medgrind5 and just modified my Majorgrind to accomodate the new crafting time (6 second delays - small stimpak A's at about 200 xp a minute) I made Novice BE today. I started yesterday.
Is anyone else still having trouble with this? I know there were some people trying to walk through it manually, which I was never successful at, and some people were standing too close to a crafting station. Is there anyone for which these macros are not working? I can probably figure out what you are doing wrong as I have made most of the mistakes I have seen posted myself as well.

So, we have to go create and save schematics on our datapads to run this macro, correct? If I recall correctly, when I made a schematic accidentally one time, there is a limited number of times the schematic can be used (i.e. 100 max uses). Is that correct?
Thanks for dealing with all my newbie questions. Even though it seems crafting is somewhat of a nightmare on this game, it's much more fun than EQ was. At least it's nice and easy to get all the components you need to become a master rather than waiting out in the middle of a zone somewhere hoping for a random loot drop so you might get experience on your next craft...if you're lucky. Yes, crafting is *much* better in this game.

You are probably missing a 'slash' on your pause command making it appear that you want to say pause 8.
If you are getting start failures, it likely means that your pause between steps in Majorgrind is too small, Majorgrind is trying to start the next tool while you are still in your first tool. If that isn't it, trying /dump a few times, re-log, and try again after fixing the pause issue. Sometimes when this macro screws up, some wierd stuff happens - like having your keyboard strokes register as if you were holding the control key. I hate that one. Alt-tabing out and back fixes it for me though.

You are confusing Manufacturing Schematics that you create for Factories with Schematics that you have in your data pad as a crafter. Every item that you can make has a schematic. When you start your crafting tool and select an item to create, you are selecting the schematic for that item. When you finish crafting you have three choices, create a prototype, create a manufacturing schematic for a factory, or practice.
For macro grinding, you need to select the schematic you want to use (it is a line in the macro that takes the place of clicking on the item from your list in your tool) the full line is
/selectdraftschematic ##;
which can be abrieviated
/sel ##;
the number corresponding to each schematic is unique to you based on when you learned it and how many designs you learned previous to it and which tool you are using. When I open the generic tool and use
/sel 2;
it chooses my second schematic i recieved from that list. When I open a Food and Chemical Tool and use
/sel 2;
it selects the small Stimpak A. (which I used in my medgrind variant of this macro)
In order to determine which design is which, open your crafting tool and type in text box at the base of your screen
/sel 1
hit enter and see which schematic is pulls up. Then place your mouse over the back button, click and type
/sel 2
hit enter and repeat, incrementing by 1 until you find what you are looking for. It takes a few minutes, but once it is done, you never have to do it again for that tool type.
Once you know the number, write it down, and include it in your grind1 through grind5 macros.
If it takes 2 ingrediants you will likely need 4-6 seconds of pause inside each grind. add about 4-5 seconds onto that number for the external pauses in Majorgrind. That number depends on how fast you turn out the piece. When I was first starting this, it took me about 33 seconds to make a ribbed shirt. I figured 5 tools at 8 seconds a tool gave me a 40 second window. Stimpaks are faster, but internally it still takes me 3-4 seconds to double click my resources.
I use 4 second pauses internally on both my grind of cartredge belts and grind of stimpak A's.
For my majorgrind when I use medgrinding I use a 6 second pause
For my majorgrind when i use my normal (tailor) grind I use an 8 second pause

A tip.
It is case sensitive, you have to type it, with the right capitals in the right places and everything..
This is likely most of you macro hopeful's problem.
