I I had crafted this I would have consulted both the WS community and the CSR to srot out what happened yeah. I did the same with bugged Acklay bones back when they were and issue and I will continue doing so with everything I find ingame that seems out of order.


I wouldnt have reported myself as this is a bug and its not the creators fault that it was created, but I would have reported the weapon for further investigations yes.

im still confused as to what actually happened. im trying to believe this so maybe clear some things up.


how did this weapon get bugged? you dont just magically bug four weapons past cap. are you saying you sliced it with a powerup when slices were random and we got those screwey percentages post cu and pre smuggler slicing changes and then removing the powerup now made the weapon poof into uberness? or are we blaming the bounty hunter friend that got the guns on loan and sprinkled pixie dust on them and gave them back to you ubered up?


also why were so many people trying to guard this like it was some secret on the server and word couldnt leak out? i guess you are saying the rumors went well beyond what actually happened but when people are talking about somebody that can consistently repeat cap passing on different weapons i have to wonder if this is the real story orjust a hope to brush it under the carpet. people were really upset their closet weaponsmith was getting outed, to me that indicates more of a situation than is being admitted here.

yes it does matter.


it happened somehow, we dont know how, and it may be able to happen again.


id like it to get fixed so it does not happen again. that requires some more information. maybe this is reapeatable and there are others that are abusing it as well. maybe its a random fluke and i could be a victim of it this afternoon.


we can debate stat caps on this forum all you want, but if theres a method to bypass caps it needs to be removed.


call me crazy, i think it matters quite a bit.

Its not really his fault lol it was a bug. If i had that happen to me id be happy and show everyone. Ya maybe he should have reported it but what the fun in playing this game if you gonna report every single bug. Are you gonna do that with everything this game is sill full of bugs. tell you the truth i could care less if he sold it or gave it away. Nice weapon be happy your name is on it.

Answering your questions, I crafted 3 differing HLR's which were given to my RL buddy who was BH at the time. None of them were bugged, powered up or sliced when he got them. He's fairly new and doesn't play too often so I'm positive he had nothing to do with the final outcome of them. He respec'd to melee probably less than a week after I gave them to him so he brought them back to me so I could sell on my vendor. At this time is when I removed the powerup's and only this 1 HLR went up in damage. The other two did not change but 1 of the other two ended up sliced later after it sold and the damage actually went down on the weapon, so the customer returned it and I profusely apologized after looking at the weapon, made him a new one and sliced it personally to know that nothing done outside my power was going to make something similar happen again.


I feel like i'm repeating myself so maybe i'm not making any sense..... but this is all the information I have. I haven't yet asked him who he had slice them or anything like that because he's been on a military duty and I haven't spoke with him for a couple weeks.


To your last question. I don't see anyone that seems to be 'guarding' me... I really have no friends in-game besides my few RL friends that play. I don't even have more than a couple 'regular's' that stop by or send /tell's for me to make them weapons when they come on good components; one of which was the original poster, the other of which hasn't posted here. This whole post evolved into rumors, speculation and accusation before I even posted here, I don't know a single person in this post even in-game besides the original poster as far as I am aware...


This whole conspiracy theory is far to similar to the way our judicial system has become .. it's no longer 'innocent until proven guilty' it's a matter of proving innocence. Fortunately you're no judge.

Fine. Someone go test the steps that seem to have happened:

1.Build Weapon that hits lots of caps.

2. Slice said weapon as much as possible. (itshould say it has hit the caps many times)

3. Pup weapon

4. Remove PuP

5. Put a new PuP on.

That looks like what has been done. Somehow one adjustment got adjusted and then hit an exception which allowed it to go beyond the cap. PuPs allow for stuff to go outside the cap, so it's probably associated with them. Perhaps if you put a SAC / speed pup on something you can slice damage, or a -sac -damage pup you can slice speed, or something. Give it a try. I would, but I'm not a smuggler.

Ive descrived a process that would allow you slice above cap already.


For damage it will only work on weapons that have elemental damage.


Create a PuP thats boost elemental damage BUT create it so its really ineffecient so that the min-max damage will be dragged down - Say 30%


Put PuP on weapon. Damage slice it. It will slice the damage using the PuP min-max values. Remove PuP and it will put the damage min-max damage back up by 30%. If the weapon was damage capped it will basically give you 8% above cap.


This would need to have been done prior to the recent release as you cant slice with PuPs anymore.


The thing I cant get my head around, is that the weapon was sliced at 4% and 4% wont give it that type of damage. I also really suspecious on the very high min damage. I cannot think of anyway to craft and slice a weapon with that high min damage.


What ive described above will enable you to slice above cap. Unless someone corrects me, I cant see how you can craft and slice a HLR with that high min damage.... I could be wrong, please correct me.

i neversaid i was smarter that other ws. im just trying to point out that your all butthurt cause you cant figure out how this was done.the only reason your mad is cause this didnt happen to you. its not like the guy was trying to break cap . it was one of those rare flukes,yourjust scared of being put out of business. i say if you can craft weapons thatexceedsthe capdoit, its your right untill soe fixes it. and to the 12 year old remark look whos talking he got 2 scoops and you got 1 dont cry grow up its only a game

I have a suspicion. I keep an E-11mk2 on my WS to test powerups as I craft them. Last week I noticed an interesting bug in that I could remove a powerup and yet have the weapon retain the stats for several minutes, in fact, at times I could drop and pick up the weapon and it still would show the powered up stats.

Im not a slicer, so can't test this. I wonder what would happen slicing a weapon with powerup removed yet still showing the powered up stats. This would account for both the damage AND the extreme slowness of the weapon in question if a damage powerup was used.
