So what you all are saying is that by being a master weaponsmith sense launch means i should have the same skills as a new master ws? I don't think so. Becoming a 12 point smith or what ever crafting prof you are is a right of passage. It is a goal that took me a long time to achieve and I am tired of people complaining about how unfair it is that some people can make slightly better weapons. Well enough of my rant on the subject. It is just hard to keep listening to people complain they can't compete with 12 point crafters. You can all you have to do is get your name out there with some decent weapons and a good price. As far as the jedi exp thing, that should be interesting. Basically all it will do is give everyone 12 and some poeple 14. Won't change the status of the 10 vs 12 thing.

Oh go ahead in flame me if you want, i don't care.

I agree with you, but I see things a bit different.

If ppl can quest for the extra 2 points though, they will do it. So basically all smiths will be 12 pts. Essentially, it will just make the grind to smithing a bit longer.

Also, all master smith DO have the same skills. Some smiths have an extra mod here and there, but if you get the capital together, everyone can get those extra mods. Further, I don'tcare if you're a 32 point smith (yeah, shutup... I know you can only go to 14... I'm just emphasizing a point) you can't spend them if your resources suck.

I'm currently a 10 pt smith. I've almost made it to 11. I'm not chasing the extra points very hard, because my resources won't support 12 point smithing. In only a few places do they currently support 11 pt smithing.

At fan fest the Devs said that this was going to be added EXP and i personaly really hope that it stays that way. Yes i do have a jedi so i will get that for my main acount off the bat but my alt is my current crafter and i still would like it cause it gives me something to work for past my 12 exp points in Doc and CM.

However the devs might have changed it cause last i looked on the discription in the boxes on TC2 it now reads like it will work like Port or a city bonus.

heh... Just occured to me.... Is experimentation capped at 125 like everything else now? If it is, that would mean that you either do the trials, or buy the tapes. There would be no 14 pt smiths, just 12's that got there different ways.

Wish I had a Jedi now In 6 days any WS that has a jedi has the ability to become a 14pt smith.

The only things that are hard-capped are the defensive modifiers. Everything else is soft-capped by the +25 limit on SEAs and 14-point crafters will be possible unless they change the FS bonuses before release.

Yes that is apperantly what the devs said but it isnt working that way now and we are getting mighty close the the patch

so my bet is that the devs will leave it broken and just claim that it adds to amazings and the like

I'm new to WS/AS with my alt but I was a master BE since the 3rd or 4th month of release. For those people that kept to their trades and didn't hologrind, they are now being punished in a sense. People that did hologrind and unlock can now do a quick grind to master WS/AS/whatever and be better than those dedicated masters since day one. Given enough cash, the resources aren't an issue. Just a thought.

Yeah, but you ignore the established weaponsmith loyal customer base and established reputation if they've been around for a while. That is not something that can be bought or done in a short amount of time

Even if they had unlimited money, it would still take them quite a while to get the same resources as established crafters. Some of that stuff is so old that the only time it's ever up for sale is when an old crafter retires and sells everything. The best titanium aluminum on Lowca was like nine months ago, and the only passably good spawn since then was just last month. Same thing with steels, there wasa really goodduralloy and six months of garbage, andI have somepolonium iron from a really long time ago (BER7 heavy harvester era) that's still the best available.

I don't fully agree.

I want to free up skillpoints, but I'm not dropping all of Artisan.

If I take the 4 Force Surveying lines, that's what, 4skill points? which if I drop all 4 Survey boxs frees up a net 10 Skillpoints?

Sounds good to me.

From TESTCENTER-BRIA The force sensitve crafting tree "Crafting Mastery" includes 4 branches, each with 4 boxes that cost 1 skill point each. The four branches are:

Experimentation 1 through 4 (Each one gives +5 experimentation for atotal of +20)

Assembly 1 through 4 (Each one gives +5 assembly for a total of +20)

Repair 1 through 4 (Each one gives +5 repair for total of +20)

Technique 1 through 4 (Each one gives +1 to technique)

There is also a Novice box (costs no skill points but displays no bonus) and a Master box (costs 620 AP but no skill points and diplays no bonus)

I gathered from the descriptions I read in the skill tree that "Assembly" increases your chances of getting great results when experimenting but that "Technique" is some how involved in reducing your number of critical fails. I always thought a good assembly bonus prevented critical fails but I guess not.

Force Sensitive Surveying and Jedi Luck are two columns of the "Heightened Senses" Tree along with healing and persuasion. All of them are garbage and are completely useless. Jedi luck just gives you a small bonus to looting that I didnt even notice. Surveying is hard capped so you will not sample any more than if you just had surveying 4 from the artisan tree and is completely useless without /sample and /survey commands. Pesuasion lowers the cost of skill training. Healing increases healing speed not enhancements power so not usefull to master docs. Nothing here is really worth wasting your FS points on compared with the crafting, combat, and defense FS trees.
