Thread: How are we expected to equip a WS toolkit? take off BackPack?
out of curiosity what does this ws bando do...ive never even heard of one till now, second what class can i buy one off... third yes your right about it being gay that a backpack must be droped...most days i have 2 full houses a full bank and a full main pack and back pack...maybe i stress maybe romm for a few factory crates...at one stage i had to drop stuff in mates houses just to open factory crates to load my vendor.

First of all, props to Trace. Sounds like a nice operation there.
At one time I did have my inventory managed to a point where I could take off the pack. I was about to make a scythe for the first time and I didn't want any failures. So I took a long look at my inventory. Rearranged things at the houses. Freed up my bank space and put in most of my harvesters. Eventually I was at the point where I could do it. Then some friends started to bring in Genosian loot. Lots of it. My inventory was fubared again.
I don't want to use all the stuff at once. I have a small network so I can't count on the supply chain lasting forever. Sooner or later they will get bored with the cave and move on. I can't get anything there now. And who wants to pay the insane prices for loot now? So I am stuck with hoarding stuff again.
But when I think about it, I do understand their reasoning. A lot of this does force me to make choices that I might not want to make. Let's face it, if we got everything we wanted, it would be no challenge at all. It may seem annoying but it is really true. If it were too easy, you'd get bored and move on.
As annoying as it is, I'll still settle for a (basically) free +3 weapon SEA. with a couple of other goodies thrown in. I don't use it all the time, but I will find a way to use it when I need to. If I am going to lobby for anything, please give us a couple more uses on that scythe schem. 2 swords per schem just doesn't cut it.
So a bandolier should allow you to wear it AS WELL as everything and it should give you MORE storage.
Oh and when I was a noob I sold one of these with a + this and + that for 3k on the bazaar...had no idea of its value !

The solution is not to make the bandolier dress a different part of you...the solution is to allow it to store items a la a backpack...that is after all the purpose of a bandolier..with all those little pockets etc......its an additional sotrage clothing item.

I have my doubts as to whether or not the Devs did this on purpose, I mean backpacks themselves are not fully thought out. Backpacks have unusable sockets. I think this maybe to force decay on SEA's. Backpacks are not vulnerable because you can imagine the uproar from players when they start loosing the backpack and everything in it to decay. I do think it would be great if the bando were a container (even just to replace the backpack), but becuase of decay issue I doubt they will do it. Even if the sockets were made unusable (I mean imagine invulnerable toolkit plus 4 invulnerable sockets), the other crafters whose aprons and such do decay would scream foul, notto mention the tailors who make em.
If that is not possible, then I would still prefer it to be ina new slot, (shoulder slot or something), or if that is also not possible, then at the very least, move it to belt slot or something.
If there were a way to pick up the backpack in the equipped state, then I wouldn't have to go through that major hassle just to wear the bandolier for a few minutes.

One thing that SWG could add to make things much easier (not easy, but easiER) would be to add a 'pick up and equip' option. Right now it is possible to 'drop' your backpack from the equipped state. In order to pick it up again, I need to clear out all but 9 items of my inventory (which means dropping 40-50 items), pick up the backpack, equip it, and then pick those 40-50 items back up again.

When you have dropped your pack - target it, then type /equip
