maybe everyone i know is weird or something, but they all use cdefs for the first box or three then switch to one weapon they'll use for the entire grind to master elite profession. 133 damage d18 vs 60 damage cdef doesn't really meananything when you have novice marksman, no specials, no accuracy, and no speed because all you do is kill gnorts and crap that are no challenge even using autoattack with the 17-35 cdef from the tutorial thing.

Conversely, everyone *I* know likes to use the best weapon they can.
So they can fight bigger things, and get faster xp.
15k xp goes a LOT faster with a Laser Rifle than it does with a CDEF Rifle.......

Every class has one weapon in a relatively low level skillbox that is massively superior to everything before it (and frequently everything after it until novice elite). Laser rifle in rifles 2, scout blaster in pistols 2, gaderiffi in fencer 1, etc. Box 1 is 1k exp, box 2 is 5k. I bet you could do two boxes of pistol faster by getting a CDEF off bazaar and killing crap in the newbie zone the whole timethan you would if you ran around trying to find someone selling a D18, finding something to kill for thefew minutes it takes to get box 1, then throwing that out and looking for a DL44, then 20 minutes of killing.
The low cert weapons only seem to be used at low levels by people who are so impatient that they can't deal with half an hour of CDEF ... the same people that you see with full buffs and armor killing gnorts outside Theed and whining nonstop about it being a waste of time.

And I suppose not a single on of you has any problem paying 10K for a doctor buff or 150K for a case of Vaserian Brandy. But you think 18K is too much for a Republic Blaster that a Master Pistoleer will use to run ONE Janta mission on Dant and make 22K .... and that pistol will LONG outlast the casebrandy.

A repub blaster is vastly different than a D18.
IF I could make them they would be 2 times my base price, novice weapons are .25
My LLC's are 32K, that is for an elite profession and well worth it.

I sell all of my newb weapons at 5k flat. The rest I just compare 5 or 6 "local" vendors and try to price competitively

And just a tip, if people like you are willing to charge so much for weapons.....don't gripe when smugglers want to charge 10K for slices.
Newbies aren't going to run all the way out to your player city or blow half their starting money on a shuttle ticket, they'll go to bazaar and buy a 100cr CDEF from the first page of the list, or spam at starport until someone gives them something. By the time they have enough money and knowledge of game mechanics to visitweaponsmith vendors, nearly all of them will have gained enough weapon exp to use something better like a scout blaster. There's no real reason to make them unless you have so much time and so many resources that you are able to keep every popular, useful weapon in stock and you don't mind wasting time/resources on newbie weapons that get thrownout or sold on bazaarafter5 minutes of killing chubas.
Also keep in mind that prices vary drastically across servers and what is considered reasonable to you may be way out of line to others. Lowca standard is 15k+ for unsliced laser rifle/carbine from the old masters with 6 month old resources, T21s are over 20k, and scout blasters sell very well at 10-12k.

Too much stereotyping of customers here. On Bria at least, theres all types out there, ive encountered quite a few of each.
On topic, this list is nice, but for Bria, its not even close to accurate. Donah has already pointed out about the copper and polymer, and hes exactly right, except he forgot to mention the pricescan run much higher depending on the ppl involved. Ill add to that, a much worse price, matching the one poster who talked of 150cpu ironlunn. Its embarassing to admit, but i myself am paying 150 cpu for 1000 sr steel. To make matters worse, to my knowledge, and Donah could probably comment better here, but this particular steel is a fairly old spawn, so i doubt the price will go down any at all, at least not from this supplier anyways. Heck, unless im mistaken, if you use the best resources in a abph, all the resources involved cost well over 10cpu, except maybe the diatium copper. Still though, its a nice chart, and its nice to try to raise awareness.
Just a few more thoughts to add to the original. Cost of failures, grinding material, harvestors/factories, storage/vendors, special components, planetary advertising, outrageous interplanetary travel costs,AND i tack on an extra 1k for every time ive had to listen to some jerk tell my my weapons suck cuz his friend can make an 800 damage t21. The last part was bs, but the rest isnt, that stuff adds up quick and it is something i take into consideration, expecially when quoting prices on custom builds.

How many noob does SWG sign up monthly anyhow to be able to sell those in mass amount? It was great in the beginning, but I wouldn't think they are a large group anymore

with the recent free trial version on fileplanet, lots of newbies lately
put the newb weapons on the bazaar in mos eisley where everyone starts at, they don't stay up too long.

That list seems to be about what it costs me to make that stuff. If I can't find the resources that I need and have to buy them, then the 10 cpu cost you put up is about what the average cost to make something is. As much mining as I do I still need to buy quite a bit of stuff. Igenerally try to price my weapons at between 30-60 cpu, unless there is some kind of absurdly expensive compnent involved.
I do have one quick quick question, your list is pretty cool and I plan on using it as a resource, something to get an idea of how muchit cost me to make stuf. I was wondering though, what was your intent for the post

Flamer = 176 (44 per POW) 93 bar, 36 stock and 243 weapon = 548
Lance = 27, 17, 31 for Control Unit and 53 for vib blade. = 128
Not adding up, and as a matter of fact I am wondering if a Sneaky Pete got slipped us both as well, because redoing some of the numbers did not add up to what I had from december !?
May have to redo all the dang numbers myself now <sigh>.
And I must admit that you will still get more than you need credit wise at 20 CPU. At 10 though ?? Hard to justify unless you are running two spare accounts just for miner drops and never need to actually BUY anything. <my opinion>
