I am a Master WS and i've been one for a very short time (a month or so) so I really dunno all the 'secrets' of the profession, but this might answer your question:

Krayt Tissues are ranged weapon power-ups put into blaster power-handlers (advanced too) depending on the +## it has is the improvemnet on the damage (i think, could be more to it). I dont know if there is something for melee weapons (I wish i could find one... i think swordsman, fencer and pikemanshould be given a chanceagainst theBHs and Commandos which are the cheesiest things in the game =P *peanut gallery* NERF! NERF! NERF!) anyway,I hope this info helps somewhat (if there's any info in it at all).

My WS Motto: Charge alotta money for flamethrowers and scatter pistols, they can afford it anyway.

Can someone tell me where the weaponsmith trainers are?

Thanks.

Best way to get weaponsmith training is to go to an area where a lot of people hang out..i.e. Theed, Naboo...go to your character search tab...select weaponsmith and search. then send a tell or e-mail to any master weaponsmiths out there that come up from the searcg results and ask them politely if they would be willing to train you. I've had no problems doing this. However, you do need to find one NPC weaponsmith trainer to at least learn novice. I was lucky enough that the mayor of my town had placed one in the city in which I live.

It would be nice if this info was included as I'm really getting tired of posting it over and over again.

Quote>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
# Items with low hitpoints are now unrepairable.
# The difficulty to repair an item now increases as the item becomes more damaged.
# Skilled crafters gain bonuses for the repair of items within their field.
End Quote>>>>>>>>>>>>

Everyone asks it. A bunch of WS still don't know it has been live since Oct/2003 and often say skill doesnt matter.

It does, if your dont beleive the devs then try a comparison in game.

Wish i had read this info a month ago, my biggest regret is not stockpiling grinding ore and good recources when they were available.

I have a couple questions. one isin regards to droids with crafting modules, how do they compare public or private crafting stations?

And I hear often that its "Conductivity" that really determines the experimentalresults,of weapons, even though the lists reads 50% Overall Quality, 50% Cunductivity, is this true? should i just concentrate onConductivityon these items that have that listed a a factor?

I'm reletively new at WS-ing and cant quite figure out where I should spend my experimentation pts on each different component. I use my pts for range on the scopes and damage on the power handlers but dont know where to experiment on stocks. I may be totally off on the other two as well. If anyone would like to compile a list of components used in WS-ing and which area should be experimented on with each component it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks again

- - BTW, if you could tell me how to avoid a high HAM cost that would help as well

You could do this the old fashoined way --

Get yourself some 900k steel and grind on projectile pistol barrels till you get to Firearms 2 and then projectile rifle barrels

The lazy way --

Get some 100k radioactive, 300k thoranium steel, and alot of other resources (after getting munitions 2) and grind heavy warheads.

The ingenious way --

get out some lego peices (you need a motor, alot of technic bars and such, and a stationary mouse {A Track-ball}) after compiling these peices into an auto-matic mouse clicker, set it on the mouse button and macro the projectile rifle (or pistol)barrels.

I did it the old fashioned way to master... then through tailor... and armorsmith i ripped out the legos (AND IT WORKS(ed) TOO!!!) of course.. i dont know if that last one's exactly LEGAL with the game rules...

I have a question for all the weapon smiths out there... How do you make/get a Jawa Ion Rifle that has a max dmg. of approx. 10K? I've heard people talk about ones that can... the only ones I have seen however only do like 300 max... I've also heard some that said the max was 6000 or 3000 or 1000... Who's right, and how do you make/get one that does that much?

Thanks,

Chrono

chrono i dont think they are talking BASE damage but special damages vs unarmoured opponents ar1 vs ar0 is a 25% damage increase ar2 vs ar0 is 50% damage increase and ar3 vs ar0 is 75% damage increase ouch if you are not wearing armour and get hit by a t21ooops bad example since the e11 rifle has a higher top end damage but is only ar2 not ar3 and since the jawa ion rifle is STUN it ignores ar unless you have spent the money for the stun layers in your composite armour
