Thread: The Non-Serial Issue?

Frankly, I don't understand what you expect to hear.
I have repeatedly pressed this issue over the course of the past several months until I finally retrieved an answer -- Publish 9. The Developers have made attempts to hotfix it prior, however, only to make things worse. (We went from just white cubes to everythingpopping up unserialed.) I have given you quotes and explanations from them; simply that they were trying, but could not track the exact source of the problem. I last posted on this issue citing that Thunderheart told me directly that the fix should be going into Publish 9, information that I posted only a week ago. However, you are already noting that information as "outdated" and implying this issue is dying.
This issue is in limbo. There is nothing you nor I can do but wait until Publish 9 before moving forward. If the issue continues, it will be pushed again; however, I don't have any more reassurance from the Developers that I can give you at this time.
Thanks for trying Logix. We don't get to see all the stuff you do behind the scenes on the development board, but I'm sure you are as on top of these issues as you can be.
*Crosses fingers and hopes the devs don't break anything major with pub9 *
I suppose it's best to wait until the TH or whomever makes an official patch note post. This was pulled from the Launchpad.

I have a question, i know everyone is upset by the use of the white cubes, but i am not sure why???
Is it because the prices of these items will go down and flood the market?
I saw someone on my server selling these schythes with the same serial number but they cost just as much as before.....
If the price stays the same why is there a problem?
The weaponsmith is just getting rich, he isn't destrpying the market for these items?
The fact they are still charging the same is not a mitigating factor. The fact is that they are using an exploit to produce far, far more than was ever intended. In fact, that they are still charging the same is extortion on a grand scale, because market pricing on such items generally includes rarity of schematic uses and that particular scum isn't facing that.
He's basically charging something like 3,000 CPU.
It's cheating, pure and simple. There's no other justification you can give for how it may or may not affect the market, or what have you. Those that didn't use the exploit can get a maximum 4 builds out of one schematic, and not 1,000. And those who cheat still charge the same as a legitimate and limited run of 4 per schematic? He's got no ground to stand on, at all. He can't even use that old weak argument "Oh I'm using this to make weapons more affordable!" because he isn't even trying that one!
I kept a serialess white cube against the day that this fix was meant to come out. I picked it up and began crafting - and lo and behold, it wasn't showing up as a valid ingredient when making a geo sword core, which is good news. Thing is, I can't confirm if schematics with serialess gear has also stopped the wholesale exploitation - I can confirm that you can't make new ones, but I can't say about any pre-existing serialess ingredient used schematics - fingers crossed on that count.
Can anyone confirm? (or does anyone dare confirm) ![]()

Well, I supposed we just have to wait until a few more reports filter in. I would have hoped that the devs would make some statement that this bug was fixed, but it seems as if it hasn't been fixed, or stealth fixed.
Perhaps Logix can coaxa "Fixed" response from the Devs. One syllable is all we really need...
Asked for an official response and still waiting on one. However, there was a lot of stuff that went into this Publish without notice.
I've been getting several reports that also side with Kershakk's experience, but nothing specific on any retroactive changes.
