yes ... hey I heard that the WS 'barons' on Bloodfin are meeting later today to count their credits ..! Perhaps we can arrange a cross-server credit-counting event for us rich-beyond-our-means WSs!

I'm going off to purchase a solid gold cane, then on to the Cantina and thrash some peasants to within an inch of their lives while laughing manically.

I wish I could do that, theres a huurton outside my house though

I'd watch he doesnt pick up your scent.

I escaped into a house on Dant from a Voritor the other day... he just followed me inside and Incapped me. Not only that but I ran up to the roof to regen my health after and he agro'd me again and appeared on the roof!!

I wasn't REALLY going to thrash them with a gold cane.

The gold cane crafter quit after the CU. I was going to use ivory instead.

edit... Panthu, please take the thrashing comments in the spirit they were intended. The most unfortunate thing with forums is there is no voice inflection.

Oh, well thanks for putting that edit in. It doesn't totally make me feel better about this thread, but I went back and reread and see now that it was intended to go with the "baron" theme.

Honestly though, I don't see a lot of Ents accusing you all of being barons just because you are a WS or AS. I really hope you guys can like Musicians and see them as non-combat allies soon. Another thing you guys were joking about above was a problem we all share - getting ag as a CL0.

We did have a lot of requests for an anti-ag buff for non-combatants. Maybe if we all asked for it together we might could get it now.

Anyway, I hate it that this thread even needed to happen, I know Musicians want to be seen as friends of WSs, not something to be resented.

Now that's usefull to all crafters and non combatants. Maybe implement this as a survey buff or something. That would be so helpfull.

And i don't joke about beating ents or anything. The only people i do that to is ignorant customers or other people. Well basicly they make me /chuckle a bit

And i do see ents as non-combat allies. And it's time for the non-combat cu to happen allready in the form of content. And no i don't count that new expansion as content. Because it's levle 60-80 content.

We all Most seem to realise that the resource buff % was changed obviously because there was something that caused enough concern among the Devs to justify it. If that concern is unfounded it can be adjusted upwards with alot less hassle than it could ever be adjusted down.

If any prof has been bashed around because of this it's WS, there are a few numb-skulls trying to stir up ill-feeling with inciteful commentsin many threads on many different forums.

Devs don't change things JUSTbecause people complain. Unless they're Jedayeee of course. Oops, there I go again.

Wow, you do have selective memory don't you.

linky

Just be honest, the reason for not liking caps is the same as the reason for not liking this - you don't want it to be easier to reach that top game that sets the market value for both resources and products because then prices will be lowered.

Where in that statement did you qualify it as "a very small subset"?

It all boils down to being able to make more money from being at the absolute top and keeping others out so they can't lower your prices.

So, you are saying that all weaponsmiths are purely in it for money?

How about this post?

Ok, are you kidding? Read the text in red. For anyone who is confused here, this is resource hoarding, just like I said. I support crafting being geared towards casual gamers like it was intended. It was never supposed to be a "get in early or suck forever" game... and I'm not buying it that it "dumbs down crafting" just because a few people with an unfair advantage want to keep others out.

I don't see you qualifying that post talking a "a small subset".

Kinda sucks that people can actually see what you posted and you have to stand by what you said sometimes doesnt it.

Me in June 04 for WS, joined the game in Dec 03. I think we'd both agree, as would many others not just in WS but other profs where resource quality makes a difference, that the wait was worth it. Frankly, if it took me only 2/3 months to get to the top i'd have quit the game by now. As it is, i'm a very good WS (by no means the only one on Infinity) and there is still room for improvement even after all this time. That's what keeps me going.

Let's not crucify Panthu here, it was a heated debate and perhapssome posted messages that didn't quite say what we meant them to say, I know I did. However, there is one thing I must comment on after having re-readyesterdays discussions today. Most of the posts in response to the WS concerns over the level of the % did not address our issues, they merely went straight for the jugular with one of three common themes, namely greed, fear of competition and resource hoarding.

There was obviously some concern Devside about the level of this %, and in this case they did absolutely the right thing. If our fears are unfounded (and I don't think they will be), by all means tweak it up. Live at 10% was always going to be potentially disastrous.
