Thread: Compilation of Weaponsmith issues post CU
There are no craftablerifles between CL14 and CL40. This is way too large of a gap and Novice Riflemen are SOL. The Spraystick, at CL 14,was supposed to be for Novice Rifleman. It's certed now at Master Rifleman. This bug needs to be fixed.

TK weapons do not work. Last I checked my 600+ dmg Krayt Blaster Fist did less damage than nothing. I'm advising customers to not buy them and I am refusing orders for them (knowingly selling borked weapons is unethical).

I added the rifles part, but isnt the Beam Cannon certified at level 30 considered rifle as far as XP gain is concerned? (havent tried this myself, so im asking you guys
- Rocket Launcher - This is still the most resource intensive weapon right now. Since its now considered a mid-level weapon, there is no justification for the amount of resources and the 9 factory runs needed to make this weapon right now. Suggestions would be to drop the 5 proton grenade requirement from the crafting schem and bring this weapon in line resource wise based on its combat level.
- Heavy Particle Beam Cannon, Acid Stream Launcher and Lightning Cannon - Since these are no longer consumable weapons, the idea would be to drop their resource requirements by around 20-25%. Or totally revamp their crafting requirements along with the Rocket Launcher.
- Grenades - need a lot of work. both on the WS side and on the user side as well. But there are ways these could be revamped on the crafting side, its just a matter of coming up with some good ideas that both we as weaponsmiths and the devs can agree on.

A fix to the stackable loot problem; i.e. where a loot stack is mistakenly treated as one item in a factory.
Along these same lines, once you unstack the loot stack, the last item (with a 1 label) cannot be used in a crafting tool. You have to drop the item and then pick it up before the tool will allow you to use it. This problem does not occur with factories.

Also we can not see the cert level of the weapon until we make it. It is VERY annoying
Agreed. There was talk that characters could view the cert from the character window, but that doesn't help us when we are making weapons. We should be able to see the cert on the schematic, or it could be shown in the datapad in the schematic view.

Most of these, I believe, are already being addressed by the Commando Corr, however, the rocket launcher, in particular, needs to be addressed. This weapon, along with the FT, is an iconic weapon for Commandos. Unfortunately it is way too difficult to build for the cert level of the weapon. It really should be made a master-level weapon, the damage raised, and (hopefully) the resourse requirements lowered.
Along the same vein, there are a number of weapons that are too expensive to make based on their cert level. In particular, the Lighning rifle which is a CL14 BH weapon is very expensive to make. There are many Novice BH's that just can't afford to purchase this weapon because of the resource requirements.
We were told that the devs wanted to make all weapons useful, but that cannot happen when low-level weapons are way more expensive to manufacture than many high-level weapons. The devs need to re-examine the resource requirements for any weapon under CL40 and adjust the resource requirements so that characters doing their profession grind can afford to purchase them.
1) The devs still have not made the assembly window in the crafting tool consistent. The resource quality bars evaluate a different formula than the actual numerical calculations shown below. This information has to be corrected.
2) A number of Melee weapons such as the Massassi Knuckler are listed as energy weapons instead of kinetic. I don't have the list with me, but I will post it later today.
3) Experimentation critical failures seem to be more severe and more common than before the CU. Was this an intentional change? Or am I having an extrodinary run of bad luck? For the record, I have 120% exp and 122% assy.

- No craftable Rifles between CL 14 and CL 40
i think we can help the Dev team out immeseaurably by not asking for "fixes" to things that just require a little common sense. i, for one, and sick of having to input a destruct code everytime i want to take down a factory or a harvester...

The E11 rifle is CL22
The Beam Rifle is CL30
it's only one rifle per CL move, but hey, it's not like n00b marksman and unfinished Rifleman are screaming for more weapon variety to grind with... wait, is anyone actually GRINDING right now while you can Respec any elite skill to any profession?
Yeah thats what I figured ![]()
Actually I have sold a fair few grinding weapons, but that may be because Im the only one on the whole server bothering with these atm ![]()
Also Mor-dan this list was made to assist the new correspondent. Also for us to get the issues down while things were still fresh in memory (not knowing when a new correspondent was to be choosen) So feel free to copy and paste it for you own convinience if youd rather update it yourself. I dont mind keeping it updated if you have a lot of other stuff on your mind, but now you ahve the offer ![]()
