I dont think so ... i use Steel with 955 cd which is 30% better then your Duralloy Steel...

I said this since CU hits live.... my oppinion was to get 100% results with 100% stuff only,


thats the Way to make a distinction between Veterans and new crafter.


a Apprentice cant be better ashis master or at the same Level.....



Nope use Steel with a better CD and your Weapon will be good as before....


Use JTL- or the new Mustafar Steel and your Weapon is top....


@ TIGGS I love this changes and i hope they dont change it back to pre-Pub 24 !!!!









Ok some servers don't have good Steel - some do. My server has some awsome almost capped OQ and Conq (both 990+) steel so Steel doesn't really effect me. However Iron will effect everyone on every server and it "did" cap at500 cond and now it caps at 1000.


And if you check your schematic list there are a lot of weapons that require "Iron", pretty much every single Commando weapon for a start.


What your saying is, all crafters to be effective must 1) Buy the new expansion 2) Spend countless hours manually harvesting Iron there as a CL1 character (or very low CL), bearing in mind that it is a hostile planet 3) or Spent millions on 30k resource Kits.


Yeah, your really thinking this through.

i crafted today a Intimidator Pistol which needs generic Iron ...

I used Kammris Iron with OQ 996 CD 472 and the "Bar" was fully green...

and i get the same Weapon as pre-Pub 24 ...


And no you dont need to get the Resources by hand...

it is an adventure Planet like Dathomir , i know on Dathomir u can place Harvester ....

i dont tried at TC2 but i hope and think u can place Harvester on Mustafar

If you crafted an intimidator and the bar was fully green then it sounds like it may have been fixed - my Iron is almost the same stats and its been around 75% green or so for Intimidators, and anything else requiring "Iron" - Looking forward to getting home and checking this out.


As for Mustafar, from all accounts you can't place Harvesters there.

hmm, i'll check it... i have watched on a fwg5, and quite same kammris gave something not far from yellow color... but it was a top one before patch... but it was just after the publish...
(oh, they could have fixed it without telling us... lol )

At least in the beta you couldnt place harvies and tbh the planet would be very cluttered if it was possible so Im pretty sure it wont happend in the future either.


As for the change. If they had kept it like this after the CU I wouldnt have minded it, but they changed it(which wasnt a good idea IMO, but that is another topic). However changing it back now is pretty bad for the WS community IMO as we will have to compete with ADKed Weapons crafted before the change.


I still believe this is a bug and I do hope that we will get a very fast fix for it as it is putting a stop to most of my crafting and I would believe that is the same for most other serious smiths.


As for veteran Crafters having a benefit over new smiths I do agree, ubt I would like it to be something elsethan this. Perhaps a new schematic granted for each month being a WS in succesion (Of course the schematic shouldnt beanything special, just a nice new weapon). Or perhaps thhe ability to colour your weapon in different colours the longer you have been a Master WS the more colours you have available.

I crafted yesterday 10 Highend Weapons all capped or double cappedand all with the same Resources like pre-Pub 24 !!!!

and me think it isnt a BUG ... its a Feature and i hope they dont change it back!!!!

If your using Iron with those stats as you said, and got a full green bar then its fixed.


As I said my Iron is almost the same, slightly better in fact and the green bar was only at about 75% and I was losing 3% or so on Assembly and a significant amount from my max damage from pre-publish 24.

Since the last time resource caps changed it was announced before and discussed... why would they push this live, knowing the amount of unrest it would cause without mentioning it first?


My guess is, they messed up and they are tryign to "damage control" the situation by fobbing us off until they decide what exactly has happened and how or if they can fix it.

my apologies. what people ARE talking about is the fact that you have to use mustafarian or jtl steels and irons in order to match the previously attainable experimental percentages that was not required to hit the same levels before 24. so yes we are definately talking about new stuff. you even say get the best, well guess where that is now. ill bet 30 bucks you can guess.


combine that with the fact that metals on mustafar spawn much better than random stats would dictate, and the fact that you cant place harvestors, maybe the people saying this is a ploy to coerce crafters to get the expansion may have a point.


you dont have to think like the best, you have to think like an soe trained monkey, and then get the best by sample macroing on the new planet after coughing up 30 bucks.
