that or learn how to use your proffesion.

Yesterday the same amster tk firend of mine started a duel with a master commando (no tk on the guy), within 10m. The commando one shotted him, an my friend stacks ranged and melee defenses (i put it down to a lucky shot but still, gettin one shotted aint just luck).

I repeat about people raggin meditate, use yer heads. If tk didnt have meditate theyd have more defenses/attacks an be even more powerful.

In a pvp situation a tks self buffs dont mean diddly squat, more than half the damage a tk will take was from using its specials, an if they cant buff secondaries theyre screwed. Most tks i know will use doc buffs an almost never powerboost.

as for buffing their mind, so what? They do so much mind damage to themselves from using specials it isnt going to change much.

The tk's abilities are a double edged sword in taht they cause almost the same amount as damage to themselves as what they are doing to you.

If I had a dime for every time the red ribbons flew, and the beautiful birds in the sky came into distinct view from the surpringly suddin position change to lying on my back, I'd be rich. Go find a corner to silently weep in. CRY OF THE LOSER, comes to mind.

I'm not sure if a TKM is too strong or a Blademaster (master fencer) is too weak.

Ah yea, self incrimination!

Well what can I say. TKA arrogance?

"as for buffing their mind, so what?" So what? "They do so much mind damage to themselves from using specials it isnt going to change much." Well hey welcome to the club, spamming special moves does eat your HAM. So when you have 500 more HAM than anyone else you are going to be better, but according to this guy

"learn how to use your proffesion". Now I pay 15 bucks a month, the same as everyone else does, and I can assure the rest of you that if any profession could get 500 more HAM they would be better also.

"Just because you have the skill box doesn't make you good. Its in knowing and using these skills to their utmost potential that you are "good". You absolutely correct, hitting a button over and over again is the ultimate upholding of Darwin's theory, but you can hit that button a few more times because of generous self buffing skill.

Best Regards,

Professions in swg aren't supposed to be balanced. They never we're intened that everyone would have 50-50 chance against other professions. Meditation tree yes nice and handy but not that usefull at all. I being doc as well I only meditate to look cool or clean out wounds. Bleeds, diseases and poisons are way faster to get rid of as doc and that can be done during battle.

Try out new bio lab and see how good "overpowered" tk is. Buffed with 68% kinetic ubese I tanked easily 5 kiwi's and 2 klikniks but could hardly scratch them. Swordman came and teached them a good lesson while I tanked. One damage type is MAJOR disadvantage to TK's.

If you really think that TK is good then why not play it and stop acting like idiot?

startin to get a lil edgy now, so this one will be a semi flame (whatd you expect callin nerf? (and as usaual lots of brackets for side notes))

first off easy-exanip i aint even a tk, i used to be lvlin up tk before i quit the game fer a month to go do other things (like play daoc), so watch the tk arrogance comments, cause i am NOT a tk (just someone who feels for em (im actually a smug/pistoleer (both mastered soonish))).

You obviously missed my point an just chose to underline the word powerful instead of the entire thing, basically saying meditate was in fact crippling the profession, thereby not allowing it to become more powerful.

Almost no tk i have met will use a meditate buff before going into pvp.

a bonus of 500 to your PRIMARY stats in this game means jack **edit**. Youll go through that in seconds usin specials. The buff to their mind is worthless when they are against a bh or rifleman spamming mind attacks (riflemen can one shot people when using a decent rifle, even when the victim is in composite).

An goin on about "yet another example of tk arrogance" just means youve run outa reasons an are makin a last pathetic attempt to justify your claim. Go get a real argument.

BTW the last paragraph is actually my sig you asshat, if you actually read some of my other posts on this topic youd get that (ever wonder why the same paragraph is at the bottom of all my posts?) An if you think spamming specials is a tactic its no wonder yer gettin yer ass handed to you in pvp (im guessin yer losin alot because those who are winning tend not to scream nerf at everyone). Dont think ive ever seen anyone bring someones sig into a nerf whine.

Callin nerf against profs only brings attention to what either a) a newbie you are, b) a sore loser you are or c) complete pvp tard you are. Its been stated before that the devs dont read the boards an i seriously doubt the cor is gonna go to the board with reports of "my own prof should be nerfed". Yer just tryin ta piss people off cause it serves no purpose. If you really are havin taht hard a time start askin for tactics to use against tks (from your own prof, or even if you stopped pissin em all off, the tks themselves (tks have mentioned many ways for others to beat tks, just try lookin for some).

Go work on your pvp tactics (remember spammin doesnt count) for a bit an the start testin against tks (even get a tk ta help you out if you aint so pig headed (it means stubborn not sure if the phrase is used in other parts of the world)), an after you give it a half decent try (instead of a "i lost i whine" scenario) then ya can come back an start askin about the tk prof. Might even want to wait til the combat rebalance an see how that effects things.

an if yer still havin trouble ill pm you the exact tactics on how to beat tks (it also explains why they aint the greatest, just very good)

til then though....

**edit** off an stop whinin

You can knockdown, cure desease-poison, hit the fastest in the game and not to mention pretty hard. I just dont see how there can be any debate what so ever that TKM is the most powerfull combat prof. You can simply look around in-game and see all the TKMs. The people that arent (TKM)...are hoping that there chosen prof. will be helped in the future in order to compete with TKMs. I would like to know what the devs intend to do about this. I dont know where the fix is ...they simply have more options ...( powerups - meditating ) ...I am curious to your thoughts ? ...honestly ...if your in a group with others ...can you feel you power over them ? and do you feel that the prof. needs nerfing in order to stop the whole world from becoming TKMs. Most of the PvP people that I know ( which is the only part of the game that I give a black about ) are becoming TKM because its a no-brainer. I am curious to what you all think should be done to back off the TKMs

TKM isn't overpowered compared to Rifleman and Rifleman isn't overpowered compared to Combat Medic, and Combat Medic isn't overpowered compared to Jedi Master.

I hate nearly every other fellow Teras Kasi Artist, they're all power mad and don't care about the good of the game. I think we need tobe nerfed, so that not everyone becomes a TKA. And what's sad is, if they do nerf us, everyone will just go to the next profession. Do people not realise in real life people don't go to job to job as soon as it doesn't pay well?

I support keeping & balancing the old combat system.

Actually, if they would add some really cool stuff to the other proffessions, then not everybody would want to be a TKA.

That being said, a lot of people think it's an Easy PVP win by being a TKA. So they take their class. Anybody that actually plays their class and knows what to do can beat THESE TKA's rather easily. TKA's that play their class fully are a bit harder.

But my main point in this is that people who PVP regularly know how to use their classes and find cool combos. When somebody (we'll call them Player 1)gets beat by these combo's then they want to know what happened to them. They either read the combat spatial, or ask, and then say "hey, you used a dizzy attack/knockdown combo on me." Then they think to theirselves, hey, if I want to be Uber PVP God, I should get that attack too. They then get the class, and only know how to use that one combo and get owned.

Then Player 2, who just plays his class (fencer, rifleman, whatever) comes along and fights Player 1, who thinks he's uber because he now is the posseser of the mighty dizzy/knockdown combo, fights a guy who knows his class. Player 1 is owned by straf shot 2, or charge shot, of fencer defenses, whatever. Then Player 1 again wants to know what happened to him, then moves on and tries to become a Bounty Hunter/Carbineer combo, or Rifleman, or Fencer, etc. That's where the term Flavor of the Month came from. Good players find combos in their classes that work in PVP and the not so good players just try to follow on their coat tails.

There are things that most classes can do that will help them win in PVP, but they have to be found. Just hear about "Uber Combo #7" is not good playing, and good players will know how to counter that attack before Flaver of the Month Players even finish Macro Grinding the class out to get it.

LEARN TO PLAY YOUR CLASS!!
