What about TKM/Doc for soloing? Do any of you guys that have this template or a variation of it think it is good/best for soloing? It's the route I'm thinking of going but am not quite sure what would be best for soloing. i"m a player with only a moderate amount of time to play so need a good soloing character.
I tried this yesterday - was soloing L82s no problem with zero downtime between fights thanks to the heals and fast action regen buffs and the 'speed' buff.
2 level 80sjumped me in a faction mission and I killed them both, never dropped below about 35% health.
I didn't look at my total health, but I estimate (without spice) that it would be about (3000ish + 500(PB) + 10%(Buff)) = 3850. If you take spice before the buff you can bump it a lot higher, but I haven't needed to tbh. I'll try to remember to read the actual number today.

Has anyone thought about Master Smuggler, TKM, Fencer 0404? This gives you all the goodies from Smuggler and TK (slicing, spice, concussion shot, FD, meditate, armor etc.) and gives you the offense from Fencer. With this I'd use Fencer weapons like the Blade of Nyenthioris (sp?) and hopefully I'll be able to get some damage going. No clue how it would play out but it looks fun on paper, going to try a respec on it today. Anyone have any opinions on this?

How does this look? I plan to be a really strong tank, but very minimal damage output:
Teras Kasi Master
Master Brawler
Fencer 4/0/4/0
Swordsman 0/0/4/0
Pikeman 0/0/4/0
Medic 0/4/2/0
Pros:
Melee Defense - +245
Ranged Defense - +165
Healing
Bacta Spray - TONS of heal hate - Keep aggro
Heal my own wounds
No armor hassles
Cons:
NO DAMAGE
Anyways, how does it sound?

Hey guys just looking for some advice on maybe changing my template. Right now I'm TKM, Mbrawler, Mswords with the rest in medic which is being dropped as I gain FS skills. I've been hearing that Pike might be good to pair up with TKM instead of swords and have read that it's supposed to have good damage even though that doesn't match up with the CU documentation so I'm not sure what to do here. When I'm able to get in my guild's grinding group it's not really an issue anyway because I barely have time to tap a creature before it's dead but I'm looking for something that will make the occasional solo run a little easier. I did figure out that it was almost not worth it to grind on TK xp when I'm solo and so there I'm just using it for the defense and work on getting 2 handed xp instead because of the damage I can do with a sword. I guess what I'm asking is for people that have tried TK/swords and TK/pike to give their opinion here on what works better for solo. PVP isn't really an issue right now as I'm not doing any of that at this point, just PVE for the FS grind. Thanks

For the dude who was curious about having TKM and Master Pike i would say its ok as if you armor break you can deal 1000+ damage with a pike (i do anyhow with certain specials). The only problem is your going to have alot of things e.g. defenses, area attacks and states but no damage 'truely'. Thats why my current template is TKM/Master Swords/Master Brawler/some force sensitive but i use a pike instead of a PH. WIth a good pike u can still do damage in line with a PH using the head hit and such you get from swordsman. The speed also on most pikes is far superiour compared to a hammer.
For the people who ask about medic. I would say dont have it as you can ues stim d's that crank up to around 1200 PLUS if your in a group you should usually make sure your back is covered by a doc, cm or jedi.
i was a huge fan of fencer pre CU and just loved it alongside TKM. Dont know about post CU as TKM and Swordsman have taken the spotlight over the other two melee professions.

I am currently TK 2222, Novice Pikeman, and Scout 4000. I was wondering how well this will work for the grind to unlock a jedi. Will I be a grinding machine, capable of getting there quickly, or not? Also, I noticed someTK and FShybrids in this thread. Would that be more powerful than going just straight jedi. Forgive me if these seem like newb questions, because I suffer from the newb illness. I have only been playing for 2 months. Thank you for any help or humorus flaming.

Thanks. Unfortunately it's too late to change the "easy" way now as my last chance to respec ended friday night oh well.Yeah I know I wouldn't be doing much damage with Pike but after the respec I was reminded that Pike has an area attack, woops. That would have been perfect for grinding FSwith my guild since I can barely tap things as it is before they are dead. With the area attack that would have rocked, oh well. Looks like I stay TKM/Mswords/Mbrawler till I hit Jedi.

I am all about being the tank for my pets so I am MTK/MCH/Pikey 0020 (for the defense) right now. I take on high 70s and 80 without much trouble. My pet tanks when I need to heal (which is rare unless I pull badly) but I usually just knock the bastages off their feet and hammer 'em down while taking little damage.
That is using crappy pets too as my good ones are screwed...

Right now I know that I'm gana go with MTK/MCM. But what I'm unsure of is whether or not I should go with a couple lines of Swordsman for the damage capability, or some lines of pikemen for the area attacks and impale (which has a good damage mod, right?). I don't plan on using anything but my fists, or a good knuckler if I can get hold of one. I also really like the ability to not need any armor. The ability to heal myself & apply DOTs/de-buffs sounds like it could come in very handy as well.
So, the question is whether to go with a bit of pikemen, or a bit of swordsmen?

I am considering a TKM/Master doc template. What should I do with the skill points left over? I could grab either master brawler or a tree of swordsman for perhaps some added damage? I am interested in a template that works well solo, and doesn't have a problem fitting into a group when necessary.
