I respect your beliefs that you think Fett still lives. But to completely ignore the absolute truth that the creator himself said that he is dead, is just something I cannot do. No matter how much I want him alive, I cannot bring him back to life. Why? the creator killed him, then to smash down any revolution to revive him, stated that he was dead. If he never said anything....I would be on the same bandwagon you are.
I think that it is you who cannot accept our point of views. Simply because we have the ultimate proof of the creator himself, saying himself that he is dead.

Apollynon i've just pointed out that i respect your views on Boba Fett being dead. I honestly do. My full point was that I believe hes alive because i follow what goes on in the EU in accordance to what the Star Wars.Com Databank tells me.
You say you have ultimate proof but thats still your opinion though. Do you see what im getting at? Its like you're trying to discount the religion i believe in. Its just like whats going on in the Middle-East. I believe in something and you believe in something and all we can do is learn from each other and respect each other's opinion.
As for Atama:
Im sorry man, it was ME who went there. While i still believe Boba Fett is dead, you in the end were right that i kept persisting with the arguement.
Overall:
Im glad i had this arguement. It showed me that its pointless to engage in the Canon/Uncanon debate, because it all comes down to what type of fan you are and howyou dedicate yourselfto Star Wars.
Atama, you win this debate. Thanks for teaching me something.

To show my respect for your opinion, I will give you this arguement. But know this, the creator said he was dead, you have seen it, I have seen it. Until he says other-wise, to me thats all I need,Words from the creator ...is enough for me.

Okay, this whole post seems to me to be a bit on the insane side, but what the heck?
According to the movies, Boba's dead, according to the EU he's alive, why can't we all just agree to that fact? I've read almost all of the books except for the later half of the NJO series, and I like them, but I wouldn't want to see any of them turned into Episodes 7, 8, and 9, I don't wanna see Fett back if they make those movies, but he's alive in the books and the comics and that's fine.
As far as arguing that Luke brought balance to the force... there's an argument to be made for that, but you have to realize that Luke wouldn't exist if not for Anikin, so yes, either way Anikin brought balance to the force. I mean, look, there were 2 Sith, just 2! But thousands and thousands of Jedi. Anikin killed all but 2 of the Jedi so there's some balance for ya. But then the 2 Jedi died, and the 2 Sith died, and we're left with just Luke who was no where near a Jedi, and refused to become a Sith, so there's balance yet again, and all of it due to Anikin!
Oh, and PS, the Fetts weren't Mandalorians. They wore Mandalorian armor, but they were humans.

just imagine:
that maul would have survided episode 1 ... came back with some mechanic legs or something ... and evuantaly has to challenge anakin skywalker for apprenticeship of the sith. could be a hell of a battle.
btw
although maul was a great fighter (with the flaw of enjoying it too much) he could have never been a sith lord!
if you just look at sideous/palpatine how he covered his excistence infront of the jedi, influeding them, and even take over the capital...
I just wish to say: Maul was/is a good fighter, but he aint got the brains for a sith lord

I take EU into consideration. The fact (fact, not opinion) is that Star Wars is a product of George Lucas and that according to its creator, and his company (Lucasfilms) what is *canon* is official. I accept the EU and enjoy it greatly, but where EU and canon conflict it is canon that holds sway.
I've said before that you can believe whatever you want. You can believe that Boba Fett has only 3 fingers on each hand because in the Boba Fett cartoon that's how he was drawn, or that he only has claws and his feet stick to pegs because his Lego figure is made that way. That's fine. But know that what you believe is not the official view.

You take EU in consideration of canon, or you just read on the EU, consider it canon upuntil George Lucas says isnt his creation? Because in EU, Boba Fett's survival is canon within the EU.
