I didn´t read through all the replies but I think you are wrong on one point.

Armorsmith layer the damage types that are less common and kinetic aren´t one of them.

The reason for this is when you get the armor sliced with a 70% base and a great slice you receive a 91% kinetic armor.

Sure I have seen the kinetic layered ones but who would buy them?

YOU GUYS MUST HAVE THE WORST ARMORSMITHS EVER

good armor on my server (flurry) is 38% stun 80% electricity for SP, with 63-88% base, thank you

lmao

I have 30% stun with 80% kinetic slices and that's considered pretty good on kettemoor

Re-learning the game again.

but finished my 'template' for the moment

TKM

Master Pistoleer

Marksman 0/4/0/4

Fencer 2/4/2/0

The mods from pistoleer and fencer are great for a Wookiee TKM, also allows me to join in battles where i normally would not be of much use (yes we can do status effects to 100%kinetic resist mobs, but ..)

Thanks for the great post, and wonderful replies from most. gets me to re-thinking some combat tactics.

Just one question,I have noticedI am doing the same damage w/o VKs and faster than with them (PvE) w/o the HAM loss of course. (1.7 sliced VKs, dont recall damage) Wondering, what's our armor piercing status bare handed?

Been trying the same in PvP, and doing great damage in the 'text' areas, but their HAMs arent moving. I used to do this same thing waaaay back when i played prior to the original KD nerf, but the HAMs would move considerably. From what i gather from opponents, they say they are being hit hard, though i am not seeing it (reading it yes, but not seeing it). Opponents ar armored, thus my queries. Is this a common thing in PvP?

Oh, also, noticed barehanded/unarmored my damage doesnt change when 'centered', add that to an intim'd opponent, but still, trying to resolve the above issue to truly understand how efficient I am in PvP (not having ANY problems in PvE).

Anyhow, definitely going to try the combo1 move, and warcry/intim again, (oh hello WookieeRoar!)

great ideas for supplements as well.

Warcry isn't anywhere as good as it was -- it's no longer a total delay, it's a delay until someone attacks the target who is under the warcry effect.

With a macro like...

/warcry1;

/pause 1;

/peace;

You will WC the target, but not attack immediately afterwards.

Warcry is valuable in pvp

#1 - with the weapons delay it gives you enough time to switch weapons

#2 - warcy is a MUST to start off with so you can land an intimidate much better. Also helps apply other various status effects.

imho if you think warcry isn't your friend in pvp, you havn't pvp'd much

Love the Warcry macro for its use in keeping docs/CMs stunned.

Just a quick question on it...

we stun them, but if we attack them they 'un-stun' correct? ok, np, leave em be, hit em with the macro every so often..(or is there a stacking element to prevent this like KD?)

ReasonI ask, is folks are saying Warcry is invaluable to land an intim, but guys, activating an intimidate, activates combat..no? thus if your intim doesn't land, you start combat regardless, (especially if its your first keystroke after the warcry macro, it will literally start combat w/o even being used), spamming intim from my newb days results in the intim being overwritten (if it lands twice or more), ifI recall correctly, unless this was changed in a patch since then. OR does warcry give a bonus to-hit on an intim ?

Just looking for clarification on what exactly those using the warcry/intim combo are doing, for it makes sense to me to just land the intim and not waste the warcry HAM if your intentions are to straight fight., otherwise the warcry macro is an AWESOME theory for holding the docs/CMs, definitely using this in-PvP. Going to practice to find some of these answers myself, but would love to hear from my TKM brothers

once again,

thank you, Griffon

I believe intim knocks the WC off, but landing Intimidate is worth it

why not just use unarmed blind instead of UH3? you won't have to worry about it having a random stick, and u said they UH3 hardly does dmg with the 80% kentic rest.

I am 100% sure that intimidate does not break warcry

WC is THE BEST crowd control skill (together with smugglers' panic shot)

Making that macro is a must!

I good PvP'er with WC2 can take down groups of 4 or5 people by WC2 and then singling em out one by one

Good question!

For some reason the math behind Unarmed Hit3 and Unarmed Blind is screwy, UH3 lands blind more often than...unarmed Blind. Go figure. :/

Regarding Warcry and Intimidate, Warcry is only broken when the target takes damage, and since you do not cause damage when you use intimidate you can stack quite a few in the queue to make sure one sticks.

If your skeptical try it out on your next tough mob. Open with a Warcry, then put a few Intimidates in the queue and watch your combat log to see when the warcry is broken.
