just my input, wouldn't it be better to not have the 1/2 cost to mind, but have like 200 mind wounds? its going to take atleast a minute or more to heal those mind wounds back up, and what if you had muon on? does it take 1/2 of that too or your base? i think using aucutal mind would be worse then the wounds, because if we have to be in meditative trance anyways, we can atleast cure our wounds.

with the new changes, it won't cause ANY wounds at all. Just reduce the maximum to half it's current value for the first minute by my understanding.

oh so it doesn't cause you aucutal mind dmg, but just cuts your mind pool in half. do you get those lost mind points back later?

like if a doctor buffs you he has to heal you too. if we lose half our mind, and there is no way to heal mind, wont it take almost the entire duration of the buff to get your mind up? and who would want to have half mind pool to start a fight?

this is my question.

still a little confused here somone please sheed light.

*my mind ramps down to half takes 60 seconds? or is that instant?

*when will my mind return to its normal state? after the power boost? isn't that sorta counter productive in todays mind dmg frenzy enviorment? if thats the case.

* if its isntant and takes 60 seconds to ramp back up to full mind points the same time it takes the other pools to ramp up, thats 1 minute gone by the way side out of the 5 minutes, plus another 2 minutes to get your mind back up. so this buff lasts basicly 3 minutes? if thats true ...bleh

*or best case senario, does the mind magicly pop back to full after the first 60 second ramp down, meaning 4 minutes of buff time to use.

reason i bring this up is because, after they buff this, its unlickly they will look at it again, i just dont want to get stuck with another gimp ability, and it could just be that.

Valkari, take a sec to read all the other posts, I think all your questions are answered previously. And the timer is not 5 minutes. It's 5 minutes BASE, plus a modifier. And if you don't like waiting for your mind to regen, migrate stats to willpower. Being a Zabrak I have 800/350/300, 900/350/300, 1000/500/900 HAMs and secondaries. It takes me little to no time at all to regen my mind. Also, keepa good supply of Teltier Noodles on you if you don't feel like migrating. They add willpower (mind regeneration).

Sometimes I wonder if the devs even know the other melee classes exist.

In anticipation of this, I've been playing around with food/drink/spice combinations. Fishnak surprise gives you 500 mind or so for 6 minutes. Vercupti of somethingsomething is a bread that gives you about 500 willpower (mind regeneration). Add this in with Muon Gold that gives 500 to all mind stats.

A human with maxed mind is looking at 2100 mind and 1500 secondaries. If you are using the right food and spices that's a lot of buffing to health and action. Instead of waiting for health and action to fill up the slow way, you could alternatively use a stim B. To reduce mind usage on using stims, Breath Of heaven is wonderful for that sort of thing.

My stats are 800/800/1100 before any buffing. With the new system and the food combination outlined above, I'm at 1850/1850/2100 after powerboosting. God help whatever I'm fighting.

Let's get this straight. Power Boost is MUCH more useful now. When you first use it, it cuts your mind in half and my HAM atm is 1000/1000/1000. Your health and Action start to get buffed to 50% of your regular health and action. BUT your mind gets the 50% buff right when your health and action are done. So now I have about 6-10 mins or so (haven't timed it yet) of 1500/1500/1500 HAM without help from Doctors/Entertainers. Oh yeah, once the effect completely wears off and your HAM goes back to normal you can Power Boost again. This skill is incredibly useful now but the mind thing is probably going to be labeled as an "exploit" by the devs and nerf the mind buff part. Hopefully not.

Powerboost doesnt work for me. When I try to use it I get this message: "You're unable to channel your energies any further". This is with a clean state: no spices, no food, no wounds, 900 health/900 action/1000 mind and on meditate. No matter what I do I can't make it to work. Im a master Terask kasi, even tried to surrender master and meditate up to I and leveled them up again to see if it got fixed, but no.

Please, Im not the only one who's having this problem, can we get some help?

Worked for me yesterday.

IMPORTANT WARNING: you can easily incapacitate yourself with this, when it wears off.
Instead of the game tracking 'Oh, I see you have 100 health left', it says 'Oh, I see you've taken 1000 health damage', so when the buff aspect ends if you only had 900 base health, you suddenly end up at -100 and flat on your back.
Killed myself once with this, I'd taken two incaps, stood up, was about 10 health up when it wore off, went incapped again and died from the three strikes rule.

I haven't checked to see if any of the morning hotfixes changed this so if I have 10 actual health (10/1100 health pool) if the meditation wearing off drops me to 10/900 or incaps me.
