Yeah **edit** you TkMs. *TEARS* "oh no I'm only getting heat damage that does 250-500 dmg in this patch I want +500 damage migitation."

I don't appreciate the "learn your proffession" posts OF either. MOST YOU have probably not been out side of your TKM bubble you don't know what its like to have a **edit**ty profession thats needed to be fixed from the begining of the game (sure tkm sucked at start but look at you now?), i mean maybe you have dabbled here and there just so you can get more defense and whatever. To See A pikeman Kill a TKM with out +25 speed/accuracy/and dmg modifiers on his clothes/armor is friggen nuts.

I feel like your all12 year old kidsgetting thier way so stubbornwith tears running down thier faces as theyrant andravewhen they don't get something they want.

I am not for Nerfing TKM i'm for Making everything betterto have a fiar fight against some one who has a Blade on thier knuckles. LASERS ARE SHOT AND DO LESS DAMAGE LETS GET A LITTLE PRACTICLE.

I was actually one of the tka's who didn't want a second damage type for this same reason.

My advice, which I am sure wasn't even considered, was this:

Instead of a new weapon, how about an add-on?

Such as this. Instead of a new weapon, it would act like a piece of armor. I would make your attacks ap 1, but offer no extra damage. Instead of adding specials costs, make it have an encumberance like armor does. This would raise the cost of the tka specials while not giving too much bonus damage.

Unfortunately, there would have to be a way around this, since transhodans can't wear gloves.

What people have to realize is that there will be mobs in the game that people simply can not solo.

If you could solo a gorax, then why would you even want to group? All that would do is split the cash and loot.

I don't feel as if tka's need another damage type. If something has high kinetic resists, then don't fight it! Get a few friends to help you!

Unfortunately, my advice will go unheeded since the masses wanted a new weapon. SoE is a business, and every business needs customers. If the majority of the customers want something, then you have to oblige them, one way or another, or you risk losing a portion of your customer base.

Asgoia, is this more along the lines of what you were looking for from me?

Dang, you beat me to it, ShaiLyn.

I can't believe how many people just don't have a clue.

I keep hearing how fast a TKM is. Do they realize that most other Master Combat professions also cap out at 1 second attacks?

I think most of the problem may be that they don't realize the benefits of good food, drinks, and buffs. I don't hunt without it (unless I'm hunting durni). I have a Master Rifleman friend I've been telling to buy some brandy/canape. He always ignored my adivce and was shocked by the damage I could do and not get hurt myself. Getting fed up, I gave him some brandy and canape and told him to use it and then try out his specials. All I can say is I created a monster. He now does way more damage than I to many mobs.

And as someone else stated, all professions have one or two very good damage attacks, but when combined with the others in the correct manner, become even more effective.

Learn how to play your character with the skills you have. If you don't like it, choose something else and learn it. When you grind a profession, you get out of it what you put into it.

And finally, yes, Rangers need some major help. Probably the worst profession in the game. But I'm still hanging in there. (and I don't even get the minor creature-to-hit bonus from ranger since it only currently works for ranged weapons). It's not really combat and not really support, it's basically just a Master Scout with limited tracking capability and slightly better harvesting.

I'm not here to cry nerf or any other ridiculous thing. I am simply here to correct a statement I hearall toooften. That statement being, "all melee classes cap out on speed at master". This is just not true. Here are the speed mod caps for all melee professions:

TKM 115 (120 with MB)

Fencer 90 (95 with MB)

Swordsman 75 (80 with MB)

Pikeman 75 (80 with MB)

If you were to look at the dmg/spd multipliers for each profession, you would find that the only professions that are hitting 1s speed cap on specials are TKM and Fencer. So please don't go around telling people that Swordsman and Pikeman cap out on speed like TKM and Fencer, because it is just not true... (without +speed skill tapes of course)

And BTW I myself am a TKM for the second time now. Why? Because of this very issue. I love being a doc, and no other profession besides TKM or Fencer can hit the speed cap by itself. And since I can't master Doctor, Brawler and either Swordsman or Pikeman to actually get some speed going, TKM it will have to be.

I also PvP/Duel fairly often and I am always suprised by all the posts about how uber this or that is. Getting knocked down? Eat some Thakitillo. Taking too much damage? Eat some Synthesteak (and wear you armor, my god). Always be buffed (all 9 stats if you can). Always have Vasarian Brandy and Canapes. There are so many things you can eat, drink, etc. to help you in this game, yet most people I meet don't even know they exist. They simply don't do any research - yet they expect to win. Now that to meis comedy...

TKAs have the fastest attack there is? Last I checked, all the brawler and marksman elites are capable of reaching the speed cap. The problem is, all of them do more damage than TKAs do.

TKAs and fencers reach the speed cap

polearm hit three takes about 2.5 seconds and two handed hit 3 takes about 3

and NONE of them do more damage tahn TKAs

when will you get it....swordsman are capable of much more damage in a single hit. TKS hit for about 2K on a good hit swordsman hit for more like 4K on a good hit....

BUT they hit much slower

try it out...

FInd a master swordsman and just watch...or pikeman...

Now...auto attack may hit the speed cap though....

AND even though a power Hammer's maximum damage is about 200 more than a TKAs...their minimum damage is 150-200 less....they average about the same damage per hit but hit much slower....

My vision for TKAs....

Before we continute this debate Ark, ase we discussing PvE or PvP?

Here are some real facts for you, since you seem to say "Fact" a lot yet I have yet to see an example from you.

Sword
Defense Vs. Blind +10
Defense Vs. Dizzy +20
Defense Vs. Intimidate +20
Defense Vs. Knockdown +25
Defense Vs. Posture Change (Down) +10
Defense Vs. Stun +50

Pike
Defense Vs. Blind +20
Defense Vs. Dizzy +40
Defense Vs. Knockdown +20
Defense Vs. Posture Change (Down) +30
Defense Vs. Stun +40

TKA
Defense Vs. Dizzy: +5
Defense Vs. Stun: +15
Defense Vs. Posture Change (Down): +30
Defense Vs. Knockdown: +20
Defense Vs. Blind: +10

Fencer
Defense Vs. Blind +40
Defense Vs. Dizzy +40
Defense Vs. Intimidate +20
Defense Vs. Knockdown +50
Defense Vs. Posture Change (Down) +50

I don't really see how TKA gets better defences as you state over and over again. Maybe I am reading it wrong but I don't see a clear cut advantage to the TKA defences. I actually seem to see all the others slightly edge TKA out for better defences.

I will wait to respond to the rest of your posts until I know which we are talking about PvP or PvE.

Heal our own wounds? Yes. But that isn't practical or at all possible during PvP. The Mediation wound healing was meant for hunting, not PvP.

Heal your own wounds , powerboost, and get rid of poison and disease ..... without ( key word ) spending a single point in the medic proffesion.

Dude... doctors dont heal thier wounds durring combat as well.. whats your point? They heal themselves but not heal wounds.

Meditation meant for hunting? Obviously people are taking advantage of its uses to prepare for pvp. Gee, lets give a proffesion something to heal thier own wounds as well asincrease thier ham for a short period of time and expect them to use it only while hunting - good one...

TKMs have it very, very nice in comparisson to other fighting professions. For instance, Pistoleers. IMO Pistoleers are on average the weakest fighters in the game, PvP or PvE (no offense, I'm a Pistoleer too). All but 3-4 of our specials are broken/redundant. We simply deal out less DPS than any other profession I can think of. As a TKM I almost never use Pistols in PvE because they are so slow and weak compared to Unarmed. We can also only target the Health bar. Buffs are so good these days that people with composite armor on regenerate their health as fast as I can decrease it. Our bleeds are weaker than any other professions and they tick at the same speed as everyone else's. Kinda went off there, my point is that TKA's have it a lot better than most fighting professions.

Things must have changed since my friend was a Master Swordsman. He would constantly brag how, with his power hammer, he reached the 1.0 speed cap with his slowest special. I'm not sure if he had a good slice or what but me and him were pretty even when it came to PvP (I am a TKM). I personaly agree with everyone. Why scream nerf when you can scream balance?

Makes you laugh at the ppl crying nerf on TKA's, doesnt it?

This just happened to me the other night. I was PvPing during a raid on an Imp city, and as Im hitting the guy and doing NO visible damage, I think to myself "Oh great 80% comp." 5 seconds later I was dead. He, on the other hand, MAY have broken a sweat---Im not too sure on that even.
