I don't think this will happen, and for one reason only: We've been there before. I'll assume the devs realize that just reversing things will not help any, and I don't think we'll be there.
As for your comments, GADzilla, I think you need to realize thata TKM should be able to own almost anything once it gets within range. It's a ranged professions' job to keep melee professions away or kill them before they get close. Because, regardless of how well you should your pistol, if a character with a huge power hammer gets near, you should be dead.

Do you have a reason for quoting yourself several times? Its kind of hard to answer your question, seeing as the Revamp is a long long long way away.

"What stops from TKM/Rifleman being the ultimate build"
Well for one, defenses aren't so great. Also you completely lack healing skills and you have to beg entertainers and docs for buffs. You also won't do much damage in certain PvE situations, like the Corellian Corvette where energy/kinetic damage is so highly resisted. You're also at the mercy of a CM with no way to heal poison or disease.
There is no "ultimate build" because nobody has enough skill points to master everything.

The rifleman proffession is by far over powerd in pvp.

I have to /agree with this assesment. I am a dedicated TK and will never drop the class....but this is Star Wars, melee' profs should fall in as secondary combat profs behind ANY class that uses a blaster, rifle, rocket launcher etc.

NO thats your opinion If you knew what STAR WARS really was about it was based entirely upon jedi and Star fighters.....
This starwars is ranged is just bull **edit**....
Storm troopers were not programed for meele combat
Royal guards were...
Ever play KOTOR? Theres plent of meele classes in there...
Even still today meele combat exist....
Every soldier every cop etc etc are taugh basic hand to hand combat skills
Special forces and marines can kill people with there thumb...
To say that none of this existed in the starwars univerese a universe much fartherin technologythan ours is complete BS
Personal shield generators were used to deflect blaster shots maybe meele could see some of those???
If they wanted this to be a game were meele were secondary why create 4 Elite meele proffessions
And only 3 ranged proffessions 2 are hybrids but one drawls from unarmed combat and one draws from scout.

Atama I pray to god your right as you are the only one on my side in this thread.
What I meant with the poision disease nerfs is that DOCS get innocs now and area cures..
A cm with a 148 potency poision only lands on a player 6/20 throws if that player has an innoc
I also agree That there not nerfing defense stacking after carefully reading Thunderhearts post the only defense stacking he mentions nerfing are

You can't kill anything by tanking it. All that being a tank means is taking damage. If you can't kill what you're fighting, you will eventually die.
Ya but If I cant kill it Im not going to fight It alone....
I love being a tank I love that nothing can really hurt me to bad sure its fun to see big damage numbers flash across the screen....
But nothing gives me greater joy than dieing for another person or playing hero.

Good to hear they want to spend some time to really think combat changes through. It is better to wait for something done well, than frequent updates that make things worse. As a member of corporate America, I understand their position. So much to do; so little time.

Ah That I do agree with but I do believe they could sacrifice one member of there 70 working on JTLS to really get down and dirty with the community...
Even just a once a week chat would make many of us happy.

Yes tanking is fun, I have fond memories of protecting people in the squill cave back in the day.
