Well all of the post are nice ,

I just want to say a Teras Kasi Artist can defeat a Jedi.
First i didnt believed this and i started grinding TKM .I have created my character only for to duel with Jedis. You can take Dark Jedi or Light jedi Knights with Master Saber ,Master Healer. Jedi have got a little defence for attacks. Many of the Jedis are always Musical and Dancer mindbuffed .So to use head it is just makes harder the situation of yours in combat. Make the jedi always in stun, intimidated, dizzy and blind .Many of the Jedis uses Thaki 90 percent KD defence .So always using Knockdown 2 may not give a good solution . Always use unarmed3 and 5 or 6 turns later use KD2 again . You have to be mind buffed ,have eaten synsteak 1 ,Ahrisa 2 times .Have drinked 2 brandy . And if necessary use muon gold in last minute . Trust me You can defeat them .
They will say you after their defeat ."I couldnot hit you"

One more thing , I think TKM is the greatest and the most balanced combat profession in all Starwars SAGA.

I thank to all devs for letting me to live this experiences with Teras Kasi profession.

Too many shots overwhelmed their chances of blocking plus they forgot that lightsabers can block blast and shrapnel. Can you point out any section in the movies where a glowstick wielding fool is beat by a melee person?

Jango was using some hand to hand against ObiWan, and was holding his own.
Jango took out a Jedi in 3 shots in the Arena.
Again ill say this TKM cannot take Jedi solo..but TKM plus other profession can compete..not always defeat, but compete.
May the Force Be With You!

Exanip, we are balanced with other melee professions. Every single benefit we get is balanced by a penalty. You probably didn't realize our lack of bleeds, or AoE state attacks, or strong single pool attacks, or effective evasion skills, which all other melee professions get.

I, in no way want to say that TKA is overpowered. My beef with Tka is the obscene accuracy, and wound healing skills. The other skills add to the flavor of the profession of teras kasi, but never missing ? Rapid wound healing? Bleeding attacks are a joke, so not having one is not that big of a deal.(The bleed nerf kills alot of professions by making useless skills out of once usefull skills.)The extra toughness and such is your evasion skills.

I would like to see all accuracy cut down to a minimum, that way the professions weapon statistics would matter in determining to hit roles. No more riflemen blowing your head off at 8m. As is Teras kasirarley miss at any range band, as well as other professions.

The wound healing is not a bad skill, but it is to easy to dabble in it. (it is cheaper than medic) I think it would be more appropriate for the healing skills to climb into the master box, leaving posion and disease cure for the dabblers.

As far as effective evasion skills, novice brawler renders those evasions skills worthless. Intimidate stops all secondary defenses, dodge , counter attack. Not saying this is a teras kasi problem, but I hope in the up coming revamp a novice skill does not counter an elite professions defenses. So in effect with intimidate, teras kasi easily is better than fencer defense wise.

Again, we only have one Damage Type, which makes up for the accuracy and Meditating.

You take down a 100% kinetic mob while only using a vibroknife, scythe, or whatever.

Well, theres the option of using using no weapon... I don't see why someone with a pole should be equally accurate (and as quick) as someone with their bare fists, since the unarmed person has nothing to weigh them down, or throw them off balance.

Which would explain why you waste 49 points just for that tree (counting novice brawler)

Wrong, It supposedly makes you more succeptable tostates (which I think it does, have not seen any tests though) but you can still dodge pretty well.

Oh, and by the way.. We only have 14 or so more toughness than a swordsman.. but no evasion skills (that work well).

That's incorrect. Defense Acuity works. Check your combat log sometime. It just doesn't activate nearly as often as the real evasion skills.

Back when I was a TKM / MFencer / MBrawler / Pikeman 0020 / Medic 1040

There wasn't a Jedi that I couldn't handle... I beat two knights that had other jedi tranferring them force 24/7 (yeah, I allowed it). I've tanked 5+ jedi in PvP with ease, and fought 1 vs 1 in PvP and duels.

In most of the duels it wasn't even necessary to heal... intimidate 2 (50% damage reduction), stun (33% damage reduction), and unarmed toughness (I think 62 with mbrawler, which is 62% of damage reduced that I take. I'd just lay the states over and over... plus UH3 made jedi blind which caused for me to get hit less

I just cycled through states, KD, lunge, UH3 spam, and that was pretty much it.

Nope, beaten a light jedi knight in an unbuffed duel. All it took was healing.

the truth is this:

a jedi that hologrinded will not be good in combat. they have learnt nothing about the game they have only sat in their house grinding crafting proffesions or just running missions

a jedi that has done it through the quest based or just had alot of experience before they hologrinded will be skilled.

if you dont know how to duel doesnt matter what your skills are.

Why would you say it is not working? It does work, just not as effectively as the other defenses in other professions. that does not make it broken nor useless, merely not as good...
