Why would you say it is not working? It does work, just not as effectively as the other defenses in other professions. that does not make it broken nor useless, merely not as good...

So a less effective evasion defense for TK is working as intended? If that is the case, then yes I am wrong.

Yes you are wrong. Even the developers posted saying it's working as intended.

As I've said to others before, just because something doesn't work like you want it to, that doesn't make it broken.

Defense acuity does work, it is not supposed to work as full fledged defense abilities but to allow you to at least harbor some defense and evasion to a certain extent. If you find yourself fighting an opponent with higher accuracy (usually a player)than you are not going to find yourself dodgeing every shot, in fact you'll be lucky if you dodge at all depending on their accuracy. Same goes for block, and counter-attack. You can test it by fighting low end NPCs such as jantas. If you pay attention to the combat log you can see you are actually blocking, counter-attacking, and dodgeing, more than you would fighting a player. So it does work, just due to the fact that most players are usually capped, or close to capped, on their offensive skill mods, it overpowers the defense acuity.

Well, awhile ago the devs also said that Chargeshot was working intended when it never failed to KD and didn't have a timer

Read the stickies, LOL.

In the FAQs sticky, one of the first things is a quote from Thunderheart stating that Defense Acuity is working.

Yes he says its working but also said it is now ineffective, he also hints that it should be/will be more effective in the combat upgrade.

Whether or not PvP counts as "high end content" is a matter of opinion, not fact. I don't consider it high end at all, since you're only going up against other players. To me, high end content is stuff like the Corvette, or the Death Watch Bunker, or Nightsister caves, or creatures like kimogilas and krayt dragons.

Either way, though, the fact is that Defense Acuity works. Check your combat log, if you ever dodge/counterattack/block, it works. It doesn't work well, but it works. Can we end this silliness now?

He doesn't say it's ineffective... Ok I'll repost what he said exactly:

"Defensive Acuity and CenterOfBeing are working, but like the original intent for 'tumbling', changes in the game since those two abilities were put in the game have really caused them to be ineffective tools at the high end of combat. These are two very important melee considerations for the combat balance. A melee artist’s ability to defend him or herself in a galaxy that is focused on ranged combat is a tricky thing. We want it to make sense in that a melee artist has a solid role in combat party make-up and to give the melee artist the tools they need to survive when they aren’t part of a larger combat unit."

He said it's ineffective at the high end of combat. In other words, it doesn't work very well. That's a far cry from being totally broken, which would mean it didn't do anything.

Right, basically ineffective at any PvP.

Defensive Acuity does work, however everyone has the capacity to dodge block or counterattack regardless of which mods you have. However small of a chance it may be (Around 0.1-0.01%) It still happens

Nope, beaten a light jedi knight in an unbuffed duel. All it took was healing.

They must have been a supreme noob or you have some serious fire dots. Care to elaborate, cause any smart jedi with a 1 hander (using 2 vercupti and full buffs) and novice brawler is very hard to beat. Especially since you dont have doc to remove the intimidate.

Not nearly as often as it does with Defense Acuity though. I don't mean check your log for an hour and see if you evade; check it after a single fight and you'll see it occur every once in awhile.

Melee damage isn't affected by /saberblock. If they could block even half of the time things would be very very different.

Alot of Jedi like to go double bladed lightsaber when fighting since it gives them a small damage boost and it looks kewl. If they have a single blade they can attack you MIND bar with a fury that food or defenses willonly slow down the inevitable.
