You might be finding more and more master defenders facing you. Gives them a really nice toughness along with some state defenses. The state defenses are the best, but if they do add any food at all you will hardly ever knock them down.

Cha would you do me the honor as a fellow Rebel and Starsider gamer to answer a couple of questions...
1. Why does my flamethrower (which is a top 5 or 10% weapon)only does a medium dent at best against the Jedi.
and
2. I have not had much success at all with Knockdown on a Jedi... not all of them could be using thankillo... I am mystified.
I hope you read this and respond. Even though I have no desire at all to be a Jedi I respect them highly... but once I get Investigation III, I plan to bbq some dark jedi.

Oh... and one more thing... I might be wrong here, but I do believe that a Jedi can block flamethrower shots (think it is still considered a range attack, and therefore subject to the 85% block skill at master lightsaber).

Flamethrower and LLC weapons used to be considered melee but were fixed a long time ago.

I have dueled a few jedi, all being knights and have won everytiime without much of a strain. The key to winning is KEEP APPLYING THOSE STATES! The jedi keep trying to use there force poweres to remove them, eventually they WILL run out of force power. Also, always have intimidate on them, and center of being does help! Could also help that i am a defense stacker
But i listed all the key components to win, also i didn't use a psg.

Hmm, TKM Vs Jedi, would you wanna use unarmed hit 3 and aim for health and action? Or aim for mind?

Good question. In non-hunting scenarios as part of a gank squad I've done both.

well, if you break it down: Unarmed 3 has a much higher base damage. If a jedi has full mind buffs and brandy and maby canape, his focus and willpower will be much higher than normal stats. Jedi can also heal mind as much as they can health and action, i have found UU3 to be more effective due to the lower regen stats and more base damage of the special.

Jedi can heal their own mind so just go for which ever does the most damage or use Unarmed Combo to attack both.

I use headhit and UAH3 on Jedi, simply because headhit has the highest modifier of the 3 pool attacks and I don't like Combo

Doesn't really matter if you are solo... Jedi can heal all 3 pools. If in a group, coordinate beforehand so that you are all hitting 1 pool as much as possible.

Hummmm. Thanks for the reply on my question about Jedi and my Flamethrower problems with them and hardly ever knocking them down.
I had a bad day in PVP the other day and since have been only in the JTL Beta. I have to rethink my PVP strategy of leading off with the flamer, got me in trouble. Those that attack with a meleemacro seem to be getting ME knocked down before I can switch to my knuckler. The firedamage does its thing... but being kded and being whaled on while I'm down is not a good place to be.
And Pikemen and their Mind Fire DOT lances have ALOT of respect from me now.
I'll spare you the sorted details but I lost 3 fights... 2 close and one was kind of embassasing (Pikeman).
Worst day I've had in PVP. I have dishonored my fellow TKM's here.

You should think about doing this for your opening attacks:
/intimidate;
/warcry;
switch to flamethrower
/flamecone2 <or whatever it is>
/warcry;
switch back to VK's
/dizzy-kd attacks
Don't underestimate the value of intimidate especially against melee professions.
