Frist time i went in to TK, I took it only for the powerboost and force of will (meditate tree), and found the bonus of the pois, diease, bleed and wound healing, after i mastered commando i dropped it all and decided to see what TKM was all about, Sence i had all the combat pts to move up the strikeing tree to 3 off the bat, the rest went pretty quickly. A few months later i rerolled a char and have been TK ever sence.

I study martial arts in real life, and from the moment I seen TK was a profession, I knew it was always gonna be a part of my character. My hardest decision now will whether to drop doc (which I also love:smileysad
and try some other professions that use TK as a basis like smuggler (probably not, since they have no real purpose or direction in the game right now) or commando, or maybe just use it to augment another melee profession's skills. except fencer, until the combat revamp anyway.

i remember the exact day. at the time i was working towards bounty hunter. myself and a fellow BH friend of mine where at the Temple of the Blueleaf working on getting weapon xp.
my friend had to go before we finished it, so i figured i'd keep working on it, and get all the xp i could squeeze out of that place. well, more kliknik starting spawning al around me as i was fighting 2 of them with a scatter pistol. i was in horrible shape, almost dead.
then along comes someone in no armor. i ask if he can help, though he had no armor on, so i figured he'd do as well as i was doing
so he comes along to help, and much to my surprise, he doesn't put any armor on, and he just levels the whole mob in a matter of seconds doing these crazy spinning punch attacks. i asked him what profession he was (because he didn't have the tag on his name) he said Teras Kasi. Well, i thanked him, and went on my way.
i started reading up on TKA and thought it would be a really fun profession to do. and here i am, a few months into being a TK, and i have no desire to ever drop it.

I chose to be a teras kasi, to restore the roleplaying meaning into it... alot of people choose it for the cool moves and defense, which isn't bad, but still... someone has to be there to live up to the full definition of a teras kasi artist =)

I like how I never have to look very hard for the "right" weapon. Only one choice, and the only thing that i look for in vobros is that they are fast and unsliced. (since the dang imperial crackdown, cant get caught with sliced weapons)

C. I needed something that goes along with Commando and is actually powerful in combat and can be helpful in groups. Then i liked the cool unarmed moves and it works well with a flamer so im not going to drop TKM or Commando no matter what.

A little of B and F
When I first started out, I saw someone (now a friend) who was wiping out stuff so fast, nothing drew me more to the profession than the speed at which a TKA can hit and the fact that you never miss. Also I am a martial arts teacher in my spare time, thought I would try a fantasy martial style, do stuff that can never be done in real life sort of thing.

A and B
I just thought it sounded like a real cool profession, not something normal like Fencer or Swordsman, but Teräs Käsi Artist. There is also a story behind the Teräs Käsi profession which is cool. I also liked the idea of unarmed fighting.

I did it because they're generally respected, powerful in PvP and Pve, fairly easy to grind once you hit novice, and they're one of the more fun combat classes in my opinion.
