I read the game manual and just really liked the idea of my character being aMartial Artist. That was what I started working on since I first logged in and have never dropped any of it. I have Mastered many professions but will not give up TKM ever.. If it means having to drop TKM to get a profession then I won't be able to get it I s'pose. Also when I go to make money, I dont have any armor and it's nice to know that your feet and hands don't need to be repaired or replaced...

My TKAwas thesecond character I created, about a month or so after launch. At the time, my first characterwaspursuing BH, so I decided to try something different by taking the conceptual opposite (BHas an expert withmultipleweapons, the TKnot needing any). And TK was the one profession I continued to pursue even while trying out a number of others.

B) I saw it andI was looking for something to go with my Master Commando. The second time I did it was just because I enjoyed it enough the first time to grind it again.

I joined SWG because I would be able to craft and fight.
Wanted to be a DE and made it.
For the fight part, I tried ranged, and it doesn't fit my style. Melee suit me better.
I first thought about pikeman, still like it, but with MDE requiring alot of skill point (about 150) you don't have much choice, 1 elite combat prof and that's pretty much it.
I'm more a support guy in group fight.
With meditation and the ability to fight with no weapon, the TKA is the perfect tank.

I saw that all the names on the list of classes were generic and everyone was becoming a bounty hunter. I thought it was the less-traveled path so I took it. This was about 20 months ago. I have been a TKA all 20 months now and have never even considered dropping the profession.

I was a BH on Corbantis and saw the really cool TK moves. I wanted to be a melee prof but I didn't want to drop BH so I created a new character on Farstar just so I could try out TKM. AND I LOVE IT!!!

For me it was a mix of A and B.
i thought the idea of being a kickass unarmed fighter was great.
not only that, its fun to scare the hell outta my partner when we're fighting stuff.
he freaks every time i can kill something so quickly lol

A) I played a Monk in EverQuest and the TK line seemed to be much closer to what I'd always expected my EQ character to be.

With the Meditate line, it seems to me the best solo PVE class, and the damage is insane. Although it would be nice to have different damage types, it's a monster profession.
