DrArgule,

I will admit I was very concerned about your abilities as a Correspondent when you were selected, my posts welcoming you even stated my concern openly, and I must say that my fears have still not been abated.

To date you have not told us anything about what you have or have not spoken up for us about on the Correspondent Forum, nor do we even know if you have represented us in any way in all actuality. I have seen a few posts asking where you are, with no reply. I have seen quite a few people ask you for what you are relaying to the Developers, or what you plan to relay to the Developers, regarding our concerns on the Combat Balance, with no reply.

All I want is some interaction with the Community that puts faith into your abilities as Correspondent, such as displaying some of the attributes that, supposedly to become a Correspondent, you posess. Let me explain:

THUNDERHEART wrote:

- Are you knowledgeable about the Teras Kasi profession?
This one is one of the ones that has bugged me since you were named Correspondent. I have seen very few posts by you in this Forum, none of which were made before you were named Correspondent. I apologize, but that makes me doubt your abilities in the first place. However, the Community is here to help you if you have questions about the Profession, so I can overlook this one somewhat.

- Are you a community leader?
My answer for you on this one is NO. The reasoning being what I have already stated above, coupled with your lack of interactivity with the Community. How can you be a Community Leader if you never interact with them in any type of meaningful way?

One other thing has been bugging me, and that is the statement that THUNDERHEART makes here:

· Player Correspondents should be in touch with the communities concerns, understanding the essence of why players pursue their chosen profession.

I am sorry, but I do not feel that this statement applies to you at this time.

So, what do I want?

I want to see that you are doing what you were chosen to do. I want to know what you are planning to push for or not push for in the Combat Balance, I want to see that you are interacting with the Community in attempting to find out our concerns and fears, and I want to know that we are being adequately represented.

So DrArgule, do you have what it takes to be Correspondent?

Ryutek,

I

How can they appoint a correspondant, who only has 134 posts? He obviously isn't active on the boards. it should have been a community elder with 1200+ posts. If I am incorrect, let me know.

He didnt have 134 when he got appointed he had WAY less...and his first post on the the TK forums was his acceptance of the TK corre position...go figure

Post count should not be a deciding factor, but being a voice in the forums and looking at how a person's post reflects what they think of the game could be a criteria...Id like to see DrArgules app email because that had to be what got him the position.

I agree completely.

Ryutek,

I appericate your concern, and i know that i do not post a lot but i do prowl these boards as well as the pistoleer and ch boards. I have noticed that corrispondents(spelling) tend to not post that often and rather post asking questions, or for suggestions for a current problem. vortex on the ch forum i belivied to be an exception as I tend to see his name quite often.

Sorry about the rant I rather started this post to thank you for the civil way in which you are voceing your concerns, as well as how civil this post is remaning. I think that DrArgule should post for that simple fact alone. If nothing else then to let us know that he does in fact read the forums

P.S. Sorry abouth the double post th t1 is to quick to stop it.

One thing I wanted to mention back to your post is that many of the Correspondents post very often, or at least regularly. My concern is not as much with the frequency of posts, but the lack thereof and the blind assumption that we are being represented when our Correspondent has not even told us what he is planning to push for.

And thanks for the compliment

Someone mentioned my name, so it's easy enough to get this info to you all

I don't see why this would be kept secret, or why he didn't announce this to you himself...

DrArgule apparently received a promotion at work very recently. He let everyone know on the c-forum that he was retiring from the correspondent position... but apparently he didn't tell any of you guys. Real life happens...

Thanks for the heads up Caylin.

I guess that lets us know for certain that we need a new Correspondant as soon as possible.

I know that TH is aware of his resignation, but it may take him a bit to coming around here.

He is doing his office move... looking for someone to fill in as the ACM (Prays) as well as a great deal of other things we keep pestering him about

That was not exactly the best time to lose our Correspondent. Fortunatly while there are a lot of things I would like to see changed in TK over all I really enjoy the profession even with the current problems. It could be worse we could be in a really broke profession like Creature Handler. At least as a TK I can hold my own with all but the most powerful things in the game.

I for one wish DrArgule only the best with his promotion and wish he had had the courtesy to announce his resignation.

So once again the TKA's are left to try and organize themselves without a correspondent. *sigh*

Except that, to me anyway, we seem much more organized than before. It is just a matter of time to see how things go.
