A common misconception with human secondary stats is that the ability to raise them to 1100 is a bug. This is not true. This was made intentional due to the fact that humans don't have ANY special abilities just for being human.

Of course it's a bug. Human secondaries are supposed to be in the 400-600 range. They were limited like this ever since the beginning, until onefine day a patch came along and broke ourlimits in a rather favorable way, allowing us to migrate our stats to freakish extremes.

Rest assured, it won't be like this forever.

Thank you FC3.

I was reading this going... ok... if that is the case why would anyone ever take human? Every other race gets someting to be itself... just for taking it... but we don't get anything (oh wait, yeah squad leader bonus that hardly does anything, great).

i thought the stat caps on humans were lifted to try to get more people to play as humans and join the empire...

Humans always had more flexibility than any others. Aliens pay for their higher maxes on some stats with higher mins on those same stats. This originalfunctionality was very powerful in and of itself. The current functionality is just ridiculous.

For all the people saying Human stat migration is a bug I would ask you to point me at some official evidence of this fact.

Having examined and searched the forums I cannot find one official response stating it is a bug. No matter what you say, it's not a bug until officially recognised as a bug.

Since my alt, Kinta, has been a Human from day 1 and I have migrated all my stats to Mind, I would be most put out if this changed.

Just because some people cry "bug!" does not make it so.

"but allas I am a Zabrak so I have to contend with a 500 yes 500 max focus. We are also supposed to have insane willpower but 900 is my max. This is freakin' rediculous. I chose Zab because I believed us to have the highest regenerative mind pools when in fact Humans do."...-Milopez

I am a human TKM with only a 400 focus...I have no problems.
My stats are as follow: 900.400.400/ 900.400.400/ 725.400.875...

Life is good. I take damage I heal myself and keep right on going.

By the same token, there's nothing stating it was intentional either =P

The fact that they were previously capped in the 400-600 range and it changed without notice is an indication that something is wrong. The fact that it's gone on this long without changing or official acknowledgement seems to point toward a planned change (I wouldn't put it past them to do this to boost the human population in hopes of adding more imps).

As a zabrakrifleman (eventual TKM to go with it after I play around with a few things first) I am a bit miffed about it though. I'd kill to have to mind secondaries like that. That's an absolutely enormous change compared to what humans could do when I made my character. I'm certainly not going to re-roll now to get it, but if it'd been an option back then I'd have jumped on it in a heartbeat. Picture a human rifle/tk with maxed mind secondaries, buffs (doc and music/dance), food, and powerboost. Good lord I'd be a terror. Hell...I could put on my armor and have almost the same mind secondaries as my zabrak does without armor =P

/sigh....oh well....equilibrium has saved my butt enough to not want to lose it...but the grass sure does look green over there =)

OK... this is what I have gotten so far:

- Humans used to have a cap and will again? - This is good.

- Humans are bugged but will be fixed? - This is good.

I would deffinately not want to climb those trees again just to have them 'fix' humans.

- Vitalize and Equilibrium are pretty cool and I guess I really should try to remember that I have them but I never seem to need them if buffed. (+50???)

The rest of the comments about saving skill points (notice I said DRs are in abundance and mycurrent skills are not of a DRs)and how 'I'm a twilik and do just fine blah blah blah'. Is all well and good but the fact is a buffed Human specced as I have outlined abovehas more raw potential than you any day of the week. Humans currently have the greatest end game potential is not a debatible issue.

Thank you guys for pointing out that this is being looked into... Is there another thread where this is being discussed that I can throw my 2 cents in?

WHAT!?!?!?!?!

Equalibrium is your bread and butter! if you have Health and Action buffs alone an Equalibrium is gonna save your ass from a Mind incap.

Man, Zabraks are mad fancy.

I'm not sure human attributes are bugged, but it doesn't matter.

Zabrak's eq. ability is the most powerful racial special in the game.

I'm a Trandy TK Master, 0/4/4/0 Doc, got some scouting too and working on master brawler. I buff myself for 1200-2400 in six of my attributes, keep all of my mind and mind secondaries set to max, Eat foods, Drink drinks, and pop spices. Sometimes I pick up entertainer buffs, but not usually. I use Powerboost all the freakin time.

As a RP trandy, when I go on a hunt, I HUNT. I head into the wilds of Dath or Yavin or Endor and I don't return to civilization until I havee 700+ Battlefatigue. I come home from the hunt and sell the hides/meats/bones that I gathered.

My point is, potential or no, it doesn't really matter what race you are. At most, the randomness of the Dr. buffs you mention is the great equalizer. Play whatever race you want. I went Trandy for the RP and the bonus to Unarmed Speed, Accuracy and Damage. I also thought that Regeneration would be good, but I think it pretty much sucks.

Given the chance, I'd probably switch to human as well, but it's not a big deal to me.With the level of mind buffing currently available, you shoud be able to compensate for your racial limitations.

With 2 doses of glazed glucose plates, you can get an 800 point focus boost, combeine this with a musician buff and perhaps a Breath of Heaven and you're looking at 2000 + focus, enough to eliminate mind special moves costs. You can add spice on top of this if you like.

I have not investigated willpower buffing that much, because I generally do more damage to my own mind with specials than I take from hits. Furthermore, with 2000 focus, you can put on a full suit of effectiveness-sliced advanced composite for AR1 and about 70% resists and still pay little or nothing in mind costs for special moves.
