Thread: How do I beat anyone with an 80% kinetic suit

start thinking about what ranged prof you want to go with your tka, cause that's going to be the most successful pvp template.
Rock, paper, scissor...
You picked rock, they picked paper. Best to keep a pair of scissors handy my friend.

Well that doesn't quite cover it though. Not when your opponents mind is no different statwise from the rest of his buffed stats. There is a point when you will ultimately do more dmg with UH3 when it comes to buffs and armor. And even then it's piss poor. And the reality is your probably doing more damage to yourself at that point.
Break it down like this to make it a little easier to digest...
UH3 is random across the pools.. sometimes health, sometimes action and sometimes mind...
These numbers are for the sake of simplicity add kinetic resists as needed..
mob with ham 5000/5000/5000
Using unarmed you would have to do about 8-11k of damage to kill..
Unarmedheadhit1 targets the mind pool... even with less damage output than UH3, this would still be more effective as it is attacking just one pool.... HAM cost is less too.
This is by far the best post in this thread. We come down hard on all the "whiners" who complain about TK "uberness", yet we expect the tools to handle every situation ourselves -- hmmm. We all have 250 skill points. Dabble.

If you want to be the best Teras Kasi Master, pick your battles carefully.
If you want to be the best warrior, pick your professions carefully.
Dabbling ain't a crime... it's how this game was intended to be played.

Exactly what I'm saying. I have tried head hits, body hits everything and I can't seem to find a way to kill someone that way, at least before taking my action to NOTHING. SHould I just run at that point lol.

I'm sorry to say but you obviously don't have very much experience in PvP.

You miss what they are saying... and they are not saying it well...
You should reread how armor stacking works... certain body parts stack dmg protection in certain parts.... as far as the head... it is only one posable piece of armor... adn doesn't stack with anything else... so by doing so... you can penitrate it far better, plus he can't heal it unless a CM is near...
Not a complaint or a whine but I was testing out some things.
80% kinetic Composite and a 25% Kinetic PSG = 11 points of damage with mind hitwith NO knucks.
At that rate You will kill your self faster and his mind will regen almost as fast as you can dish it out.
That is our weakness and yes you WILL need another skill set to compete in PVP.
It is all about practice. I owned, I mean owned, 2 TKM's at the Sintari (Starsider Server) Melee Competiton. I even let them meditate and that stat buff thing till they were ready. I was a master fencer/master ch and I did not pull any pets. Was it because I rock at PvP. Nope. I just dodge (center of being) while they spammed the same special till their mind was low and then it was 1handblind, bam they were incapped. I also threw some bleeds and poisons from weapons on them to throw them off.(this was pre-nerf bleeds so they actually did damage). It got them focusing on their health, not their mind which was my true target.
Enter the TKM/Maser Bio. He owned 5 rebel Players in their own base. They all complimented him on his fighting skill. He knows what attack to use when. He is very good at PvP.
I got owned at Zero, repeat Zero meters by a Master Rifleman. I think she also had Master Fencer and something else. She just spammed the Master Rifleman shot at me.
What is the lesson? Start doing PvP with your friends, learn the strengths and weaknesses of your character and your armor and your weapons. If I had used composite (which I now have), and my stun baton on the rifleman the results may have been a bit more in my favor. Instead I swung at 80% kinetic resist armor with my gaffi stick. That was dumb, really dumb. So now I practice against TKM, Commando, Rifleman, Pistoleer, Smugglers, and BH. There are some uber templates, there are no uber professions. Of course, Pikeman vs Fencer is just funnny to watch.
