I'm sorry to say but you obviously don't have very much experience in PvP.

Well said.

Well that doesn't quite cover it though. Not when your opponents mind is no different statwise from the rest of his buffed stats. There is a point when you will ultimately do more dmg with UH3 when it comes to buffs and armor. And even then it's piss poor. And the reality is your probably doing more damage to yourself at that point.

Agreed, been in this position on several occasions, first observation is, on some occasions I have found the randomness of UH3 does more dmg than UHH1 on the mind stats, assuming that's where you happen to hit. Secondly, with superbrandy now readily available it isn't too tough to buff your mind enough to protect against a kinetic attack.

Solutions you ask?

If all you're bringing to the fight is your tkm skills and it's only you and Mr. 80-90% Kinetic resist, forget it, if your lucky enough to KD-Dizzy him then dizzy him a few more times to give yourself a larger head start to run in the other direction or pull out your bike to escape. You said it yourself, this is an unwinable situation, and the more you try to force the issue, the easier time you will make for him to incap/db you when he gets up. Welcome to the achilles heal of the TKM profession.

That having been said, if you happen to be packing other combat skills, (e.g. you're a tkm/rifleman, tkm/pistoleer/smuggler, tkm/w/CM skills, TKM/Commando, etc.. etc..), then this would be the time to pull out that other weapon and stand back a little.

I'm not really sure what kinda answer you're looking for here, but let me save you the time and trouble of making repeated visits to the cloning centre, If you notice that UH3 is barely putting a dent in your opponent and it's only you who's doing any dmg, use your head, realize you're not going to win this particular battle and move/run on.

Use your head, and pick your fights, as powerful as we are you're not going to prevail in every engagment.

hope that helps.

Tal.

I had the same problem for a while...found my solution though. Picked up CM and got up all trees but crafting...KD then apply mind poison + disease(this makes them pay for wearing armor). When he is near getting up, WC to keep down for another 10 secs. By the time they end up getting back to their feet, usually 1 head hit will do them in. Kind of lame but im sick of armor =).

Just find rifleman to fight... if they are wearing armor, they shouldn't have any mind left by the time you reach them!

Any smart Rifleman would have popped some Vasarian Brandy and other Mindfoods by then to eliminate the HAM cost for specials. But don't let that fool you. There are a lot of players out there that don't take advantage of buffs and foods that you are free to kill.

Ok, so the solution is "take on another profession" is what you guys seem to be saying.

However, the original post wasn't about taking on other professions, it was about how as a TKA we can do these things.

One thing I've found - many people don't have 80% armored pants. Especially since ubese is usually limited to jackets. Most people focus on their helmet and their body armor, and generally their other armors are subpar.

So, maybe take a chance and hit them in the action bar a few times, see if your'e damaging them. If you are, they have sub 80% leg/boot armor, and you might be able to smack them harder in those areas. Plus, many specials take action points, and if they've been active previously, they may be low there.

We're supermen (and women) high kinetic resist armor is our kryptonite.

Ive been up against the same thing. No way i could have beat him on my own. Had a master heavy swordsman working on the target too and we were still having a hard time. The guy even pops off "lol, you cant kill me" even as he was dizzy as hell while laying on the ground. So what to do? Pull out my FWG5 and pop some bleeds into him, that seemed to have helped a little.

How can we beat heavily armored, buffed opponents? Maybe we cant and maybe we shouldnt be able to.

I just started TK recently. Was one for a week a month ago, dropped it for the almighty holo. At the moment I'm Master Pistoleer/Master Smuggler/Novice TK. Beating a player in PvP all depends on how well they are taking advantage of the things in the game.

Armor will not do it alone. I have 80% armor across the board and get killed by Teras Kasi doing k/d dizzy with headhit. Since I'm a Pistoleer I can only target health or random. However, I found a really easy way to defeat that headhit. Assuming I have doc buffs already, all I do is take 2 v. brandy, buffs my mind 900 in all three stats for 35 mins. Basicly you can hit me all day in the head because my mind is now 2k and my secondary stats are all 1.5k. I pretty much heal almost as fast as you make damage. Also, if I'm ever in trouble, since I'm Zarbrak I can do equilize.....saves me everytime.

So there are ways to counter your k/d dizzy, this is true. But if you using the same buffs and food, you have just as much advantage as I do. What everyone should be looking for are the people who don't take advantage of the new foods, if you fight someone as prepared as you its all about who can go the distance.

Well then the answer would probably be... as a TKA against all the odds of high kinetic armour and buffs, chances are running away is better than fighting.

start thinking about what ranged prof you want to go with your tka, cause that's going to be the most successful pvp template.
