Well, with 500 ping you'll be struggling I think. Now I've found you can autoattack, that's fine. But that's just doing the same move again and again. Where as we want 'dizzy/knockdown/bitchslap' in that order. That's where the combat queue was fantastic, it gave you some control over combat even during lag-spikes. I mean I can sometimes hit 2000-6000 ping, so I know what it means.

Again, ATM i'm just brawler, and we all know that it's only once TK that the real speed hits...

Hmm. I hadn't noticed that about the damage types.

Until they put armour in, I don't think we can say about how it will work.

But looking at the brawler tree again - we should really have polarms. We would only be able to use the staves, but we would be lightning quick with it :-D

News just in:

Teras Kasi Master Requirements - 1,000,000 Unarmed XP.

Which is interesting, as the other reqs are the same - 175k, 250k, 350k, 450k. Twice 450k is 900k - so they must be changing how much XP you can store as well. Which increases the possibilities for FS-grinding no end...

Or it could just a dev thing to make sure no-one gets master yet.

Also, Berserk has moved to the Swordsmans tree exclusivly.

Unfortunately, the devs have messed up on test-server. ATM, if you know the /command for an ability, you can use that ability. Even if you don't have the skills

Will TKM still be able to heal posion, bleeds,, disease and wounds. This is by far my favorite ability.

There's nothing to specifically say so, but then there is nothing to say so now, either. I would imagine so, as the meditation bonuses as you rank up are the same, as are FoW and Power Boost.

The only difference in the mediation line is the introduction of Dizzy Recover and Blind Recover, which is a huge bonus. We get Knockdown recover at Novice Brawler, so we're pretty much set.

* What do you think of the Interface?
Hate it. Too cartoony. Fonts too big, ham bars too big, overall feels too cluttered when all those messages pop up in combat. Needs to be shrunk a little

* How does it feel?
Sucks. Too slow, too cartoony.

* How does Unarmed seem to be to you (damage, speed, anything and everything)
Slow to advance. I was getting 3-4xp per creatures that was 1-2 levels above me. This'll probably change I'm hoping. Otherwise combat feels like unarmed combat always has felt at novice

* Is there anything that you want to mention or any concerns that you have?
The loss of so many abilities. Browsing a couple skill trees, there's a ton of abilities that have been removed. Currently, TKA seems to have about half of what it used to. I feel all but our combo attacks are useful currently, but a lot of those moves are removed.

* Are you enjoying it?
No, not one bit, but I'm trying to be optimistic.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to play the normal game, in it's fun state, and enjoy it as long as I possibly can.

Ok I'm cnofused in the combat diagram TKA was labelled as avoidance. But I don't see any moves allowing them to avoid anything or is just teh melee and ranged defense they get that classifies them as avoidance? I was thinking they wuld get good spped modifiers but I don't see anyhing of the like either? Am I just missing this stuff?

Ok first impressions............


TK "avoidance" shows up just a little bit when solo'ing mobs. For the people that haven't figured it out yet, if you group you get the same xp for one hit as you would for a solo kill. So grouping is a must for fast steady xp.

All the melee prof do about the same dmg until your box 4 attack, then swordsman takes a pretty big lead.


Unless they roll back the servers I will be mastering brawler sometime after I get off of work today. The TK sweep ability is pretty damn good for dmg/kd. I'll keep everyone posted if I find anything that we can use.


Template thus far is 4/3/4/3 brawler.

I'm back guys.

Keep this info coming. I've been trying it a bit but having lag issues due to the server population so I'm gonna be catching up on any posts I missed last night (which is a suprising amount) & will be around again in full force tomorow.

I'll be around on TC5 as Mankind quite alot from now on as well.

So come on, keep your first impressions coming!

Seeing that I can never get in to TC5I dont know much but from what I read. What i am seeing so far is that all my CA and AA for def vs states are out the door and otehr ones as well.


1)Is there anything you can tell us about this so i can quit buying them. Because it really sucks for us that spent millions off credits on them.


2)I also want to know whats going to happen to all that BE would it be converted to something usefull or should I quit buying brandy.


3)Last but not least how are my ADK weapons or any in particular going to be changed witht he new system properly.


4)Forgot about this will we get a list of the schematics for the new weapons before CU that way WS or AS can stock pile materials and be ready for production or is it upon release when we are going to get shafted by prices. (you know like when wookie armor first came out)


I will be happy if you can anwser this sometime ifnot i know how it is. Thanks

Question to be answered eventually (hopefully sooner not later).

TK Defenses are in effect sans armor according to docs ad dev followups. QUESTION: Do non protective "armors" disable a TKs defesnses like they do jedi force use? Some examples in the current system of these "armor" classed items are Tusken Helmets, Ubese shirts, marabi belts
etc. etc..

Oh, and what about PSG use?

Alas, I have not even got to log into TC yet =( But some of the things I have been reading scare me, but I am also trying to keep in mind that this is just like what, the second or third day of Beta and it's not going to release until May 5th? (correct me if I'm wrong on that, just assumed it was still being released with RoTW) Anyways I'm really ready to give it a try. It would be kind of nice if the xp cap was around 1mil though. Also, I believe I read where they are just testing low end/level combat for now. But if people are having that much trouble with n00b spawns (as I referred to them as the game system is now in Live) Just a few things I'm scared about, but I also play Asheron's Call, and Asheron's Call 2, never tried EQ1 or 2 though. So hopefully I will like the new interface, and way the moves work.
