i dropped 2 trees of bh to become tkm so i could stand a chance against jedi.i knew the tkm would undergo some kind of change versus jedi after combat balance so im staying tkm till then.once bh is repaired i may go back to mbh and ranged we will see and maybe retain meditation.
bh hunting player bounties sounds more realistic for bh and tkm for jedi i dont really care as long as i can hunt someone on even terms.tkm seems to be the only match for jedi atm i do forsee winds of change after reading the jedi complaints about melee realism .

tk hunt jedi? no that's the BH's job...and it's sad how u can be 3000 BH, TKM and w/e fencer so that low level jedi either are forced to run or they die.
imperial bh's shouldnt be able to attack imp jedi either imo
and i do think it's cool that only imperial jedi can go after reb/neut jedi, makes it actually seem like we're the agressors.

If the developers are wanting a more Star Warsy feel for the game, the Terä Käsi Masters should hunting the Jedi.
Actually, as I understood all the history of TKA related in these forum, the TKM shouldn't hunting Jedi like BH does.
The TKA are supposed to watch the Jedi, and only act against the one that wrongly use their powers.
So, if you wanna have TKA Jedi hunting with a Star Wars feeling, they should in fact hunting only a very limited number of Jedi.
The one that wrongly use their powers.
BH hunt Jedi that use their power or saber in public, and that isn't wrong.
Not the same story.

Wasn't the Order of the Teräs Käsi a Secret Organization that Hunted Jedi?
Though I don't know the author's sources, there is an entry in Star Wars Encyclopedia (June 30, 1998. Del Rey. Stephen J. Sansweet.) which states:
"Both a martial art and an Order. The Teräs Käsi were formed from the remnant civilians of a long-ago battle which devastated their home world of Palawa, a war which involved the awesome powers of the Jedi Council. The few survivors of Palawa migrated to a nearby world called Bunduki, where they decided to master mind over body so they may keep the Jedi use of power in check. The Teräs Käsi are thought to be sensitive to changes in the Force, and Teräs Käsi Masters are feared by the Jedi. But Teräs Käsi are not generally Force users as Jedi are: Teräs Käsi draw internal, personal power, while Jedi draw from everything around them."
Posted this on the jedi forums, just thought this would fit in.
And yes, gloating power is not a part of being a jedi, and it would be wrong due to the code. Thus.. Misuse of power.

I think this would address 2 issues at once.
Jedi Bounties leaving BH would allow the dev's to fix our gimped profession.
Jedi Bounties entering TKA would allow the dev's to nerf the living hell out of your over powered profession.

Nope, TKA is a secret organization that watch Jedi, not hunt.
As for what is or not a misuse of power is a sensible subject.
You should have a look at this thread.
You'll get a better idea of what I mean.

I will have to side with those that think that this is the role of Bounty Hunters and not ours. I would much rather have content geared towards a Teras Kasi Order, such as temple structures that we can place and clothing that will get us the hell out of Composite Armor. Fix our defensive acuity, give us special gloves as an alternate weapon to the knuckler, give us a kata emote, let meditation heal BF,etc. That stuff would improve our content. We could even have a sort of "tournament" PVP ranking system for the Order as there is mention of TK tournaments in the EU.
The Jedi Hunter/Police thing was written by fans who play the Star Wars RPG and is not EU in my opinion. However, there is enough EU content in the game (nightsisters, etc.) to justify us having a Teras Kasi Order.

Nope, TKA is a secret organization that watch Jedi, not hunt.
As for what is or not a misuse of power is a sensible subject.

I think you missread my quote.. It says

To keep something in check ultimatly means to hunt them to limit their power. I dont see any other way a tk can keep jedi powers in check

Look at this like the cold war IRL.
USA kept in check CCCP. and vice versa.

That mean that a power need a counter power to prevent it to go wrong.

A Jedi counter power that is there to prevent the Jedi from destroying the universe.
Not to hunt and kill them.

since permadeath is gone, there isnt really a way to keep the jedi "in check." i disagree on the role of TK being able to hunt jedi.

Hello everyone, I just remastered TKA this week. It was my first love as a prefession at launch. The one thing I have noticed is that it hasn't changed much since then. It was a solid, unique profession a year ago, and it is a solid, unique profession today. Sure there have been samll alterations, but nothing to the extent of the roller coaster ride that has plagued the bh's and the jedi.
This is my concern: Currently, the devs are trying to balance what can only be described as a civil war, not between the rebs and imps, but between the BH's and the Jedi. Thus, the nerf, enhance pattern, and the constant changes to the 2 professions. If we get ourselves into the jedi hunting business, then we may subject ourselves to this same volitility. This is a situation I, for one, would like to avoid. If any TKA wants to hunt jedi, they can grab invest 3, as was stated by numerous posters already. I however, would like an endgame for TKA, where becomming a TKM would be very powerful (not all powerful, but able to hold their own against any template), but use up all a character's skill points. This would allow for the TK Order, temples, uniforms and what not, but not overpower TKA, because in order to enjoy its true potential, dabbling is no longer an option. Just my 2 cents before I go back to work.

Like someone else said before, this request to have TK's "hunt" Jedi seems to be a real plea for new and exciting content. Many people are reaching to draw their own conclusions about Teras Kasi and Jedi. As I read the description of Teras Kasi, I did not get the impression that Teras Kasi masters actively hunted down and killed Jedi, they only had the facility to WATCH Jedi, and then only to be sure that rogue Jedi did not destroy their entire culture and way of life as had previously happened.
