For those of you saying TKAs shouldn't be able to wear any armor because it would look rediculous for us to be doing our moves in a full suit of armor.......you need to tune into the history channel once in a while. They run specials on weapons and armor from various time periods quite frequently. I have one on tape which shows the various types of chain mail and plate armor that the knights of old wore as well as what the samurai wore. They have several people in 100-pound plate armor duel and the guys are spinning, flipping, and moving about like what you see in the movies. They have some of their movement restricted, but you can hardly tell. Knights trained in their armor and knew how to move in it just as well as they could unarmored. A well trained TKA could to the same.

TKA is meant for quick attacks and agility

sorry I just dont see wearing armor as a good thing

Knights wore armor yes

but then again knights didn't do the crap TKA's do

Furthermore it makes me sick to see TKMs running around in armor it just doesn't look right

Before you make a sad statement like this learn a bit about armor. There are people that train in real life to do full exhibitions in full samuria armor. Which by the way was a heavy plate armor. These guys do flips, sick spinning kicks the whole nine yards. And all of it in armor weighing over 100lbs.

I'd like to be able to kill and not be killed. Exhibitions don't kill Tuskens or Black Sun guys.

Ok, I have held my breathe long enough, you r right we do not need armor for PVE but how many times have u got smoked by a medic or pistoler because they just run away from u...or even stood toe to toe with a swordsman u will get rocked...we need more defense to dodge an attack...and yes THE SAMARI do wear a full heavy armor and can still do there specials...I think this class is well under what it should be..nothing like what it is in real life....look at a true master of a martial art..they r no whimp and I get owned by half the server b/c I dont wear armor...And I am a tailor so I have uber clothing as well...+to most my tkm stats....

Someone brings this up once a week including myself not too long ago,

I would like to see TK specific armor that allows us to flow in combat with low emcumberence

make it negatively effect our unarmed speed or just make it so TKAs cannot equip armor

its rediculous to think of a master martial artist(especially one doing the moves a TKA can) running around in a suit of armor. ITS JUST STUPID

No its not, Im so tired of yall not knowing anything about TKM, take away the ability to wear armor would make us get completly owned in PvP. You really think that someone that hardens there body through strict training wont be able to handle wearing armor? if you do then you are a moron.

I admit in PvE as a TKM there is only a few things I need armor to fight.. Rancors just because if you attack 1 more than likely a few more will come, if your doing rancor missions that is.

Also if TKM are made to be tanks in groups...tank without out armor..hmmmmm, again I just have to say that is moronic

I was in the army before I blew out my knee. I am 5'4 and 130 lbs and I can wear 200 pounds of gear because of physical training. Now just to compare Bruce Lee could have a 2 in swing and knock someone back 8 feet. Now if they change TKM abilities around to be able to do fast, good damage to someone wearing armor then take wearing heavy armor away. But we all know that won't happen

And I can't remember who brought it up first about skill points, but TK is different from all teh other profs and it doesnt matter that TKM is the same amount of skillpoints as fencer or whatever, in PvP if you know what your doing and how the rest of your template TKM will do well against 70 % of the other profs and of course a TKm/Rifleman will kill everyone. TKM original role was the whole Jedi thing but I ahve given up on that because a TKM should be able to handle an iniate and just imigine a TKM fighting a dark jedi if oyur rebel without armor....

This only applies to those who aren't "PvP tempteters". The reason you lose a lot of battles against the PvP guys is not just because they wear armor. The put way more skill points into combat and should see a return on this. A player who has put 250 skill points into combat should be able pwn someone who is lets say...a TKM/tailor. It is tru that armor does help but skill helps too. I happen to be 100% combat oriented and can kill a buffed/armored opponent with nothing more then a quick drink or food. Armor isn't always the deciding factor. As far as the BH's, they use up almost all there skill points to get master and don't leave room for a nice templet. Any help they can get I suport all the way.

I'd think 57 unarmed toughness was special enough.

I must agree I am in the Army my self and I would fight a whole hurd of rancor and ns over the Koren army trained in Martial Art....If I had to I would but...

dang this class should be a power house PERIOD...we should be able to punch throw armor, look at 20 bricks there nothing, and hit the specific points of weakness....anyway it does not matter the DEV's hates this class because if it was done correctly we whould be able to take out most jedi....
