oh and to answer your question!

tka SHOULDNT get special armour because we take the same amount of skill points as any other normal profession. bounty hunter take up nearly all their skillpoints and dont get much special for it! thats why they deserve special armour!

you couldn't be more right.

a master BH only has 36 free skill points left.

this is because first off, they need master marksman and scout (even thought technically they don't really need most of the scout profession, just the terrain negotiation. camps aren't really needed that much anymore now that you can call your speeder from anywhere at any time).

after getting master BH, you would first have to spend another 15 skill points to get a Novice lower level profession. so that only leaves you with 21 points left, which isn't a whole lot at all.

i do like the one idea listed above about giving us some sort of defensive robe, then stripping us of our ability to wear armor.

TKA not being able to wear armor would be a good thing

make it negatively effect our unarmed speed or just make it so TKAs cannot equip armor

its rediculous to think of a master martial artist(especially one doing the moves a TKA can) running around in a suit of armor. ITS JUST STUPID

or why not give us bonuses when not wearing armor, like maybe a huge chance to evade but it goes down the more armor you have on, so that with not armor would be equivalent to having say 60-65% comp armor in the end

I disagree that TKA needs special armor. maybe special clothes but BH is the most elite non-jedi class in the game. It was always said to be so cool and they really have nothing. they have no built in defense bonuses and crappy specials. they deserver their own armor.

hello all,

first of you some of you guys really need to calm down. the flames on this thread are not needed.

maybe someday they will implemant TK only armor. i have some ideas i would to like to share.

1. gender/race specific armor. TK is more of a way of life or a religion. like jedi. although the jedi dress similiar they are a little different in respect to culture and gender. same deal for us TK. gender/race could play a role on how the TKM armor looks. *note all armor abilities will be the same*

ie/ human females could have a chain linked bikini with small linked chain winding around torso and down arms. legs could have rips and tears in the fabic also with chain winding down legs. a Valkery style head dress. color fully customizable upon completion of armor quest.

2. TK weapon could be an extention of the armor itself. like in that movie Blade II when Blade had those hand blades that injected the anti-coagulent(sp?) into Lomack. or any other style of two handed SHORT piercing/puncturing hand held EXotic weapon.

again the weapons could be gender/race specific. a human female with the the Blade II weapons/ MAlE Wookie holding a 20lb wieght in each hand. *note weapon damage type will be explained below*

3. earning TKM weapon/armor. lets throw some RP elements into the mix. lets say my human femaleTKM (since oct 2003 btw) decides to embark on the quest to earn the TKM armor weapons. to make it simple she could find the nearest NPC trainer. the trainer will speak of an anciet TKM of the same race/gender as my TKM. then she could start a pilgramage to find this ancient TKM. (step 1 for armor weapon quest) finding ancient TKM shoudl be difficult, but not impossable. using the faction point system, the ancient could decide whether ot not to allow you to continue questing....using faction other then rebel and imperial. *note perhaps rebel/imperial TKM armor/weapons couldbe different as well* after about 15-20 hours of running missions and finding semi-rare VERY difficlut loot items, my human TKM would be rdy to make her armor.

4. making TKM armor. here is the tricky part. the TKM armor is an extension of the TKM. Teras Kasi is about how to use the Chi or force inside you to heal yourself, to hit really hard (steel hands) as oppssed to jedi who use the external nature of the force and bend it to thier will. in ancient times TK's were keepers of the jedi. if a jedi flaunted his/her powers a ruling council of TK would hear about it. if a jedi fell from grace, a TKM would be sent to send the jedi to the next life. only one book that i know goes into detail about this, and i forgot the name of it anyway, forging your armor, using resources and loot items should be semi hard process. at the end of the forging the TKM would put a large part of thier CHI into the armor. rendering the TKM incapped for a bit. if successfull the armor would be complete....if not, well you have a nice decoration for your humble home.

5. your new armor. upon completion the TKM has the abiltiy to power their armor using thier mind. we can purge poisons and disease from our bodys using our willpower. now we have the abilty to charge our armor and give it special defenes against specific attacks. the charging would last up to say 15 minutes and the TKM would be able to charge their armor once an hour, due to the incredible strain it puts on the mind. base stats would be high vs kinetic(duh) stun. the armor would havea LIGHT armor rating and could go up toHEAVY based on howthe TKM decides to charge thir armor with. *note armor/weapons would be unslicable* but at HEAVY ratingthe charge of the TKM would be almost used up.

6. TKM weapons. same deal, same NPC maybe. same chargeable characteristics. cept the TKM would decide how to charge the wepons. all attack types cept for blast i think would work.

*NOTE*

the above quest will be completed be a SINGLE TKM. no group ventures on this one. the whole idea behind it is to have your TKM come full circle and attain the best weapoms/armor possible. We started off killing nunas and gnorts, and we finsh our life hunting rancors. Attainign this armor/weapon proves the pure heart of the TKM. Powering or charging the armor/weapons proves the TKM's complete and totall control of him/herself. in D&D terms a TKM is a true neutral toon. Power is nothing, Balance is everything.

thank you for reading though this. for those of you with no imagaination i have my armor charged at 100% vs flame.

Who cares if the BH's get their own armor? It's more for appearances anyways. Have you seen the new armor? I have and I'm telling you it sucks. As also being a master rifleman I can tear right through it. I have weapons that can hit all three of the vulnerabilities that that it has and a T21 can just tear through it even more then it tears through comp. The new armor isn't that big of a deal.

Why not let that apply to all professions? Take into consideration how PvP works presently: Anyone with 80-90% resistant uber-composite armor is essentially unstoppable, except by stun damage, in which case the extra 200k they put into the making of that armor gives them some 20-40% stun resistance. Then, a person can put on a nice 30% stun resist personal shield generator.. and basically he/she is unstoppable. Any armor that provides protection like that should have SOME downside... the fact that it increases the cost of your specials (by subtracting numbers from your subs) means nothing when one can just get buffed and eat some food to counter-act that. I think that anyone who wears armor should move slower, attack slower, dodge/counterattack/block less, and be prohibited from using certain attacks, all depending on the type of armor you are wearing. Someone in composite should only be able to swing his fists, not spin around repeatedly with unarmed hit 3, but could perhaps use that special if wearing padded armor. There needs to be more of a downside for using armor, at least for melee professions.

Let's say there is a BH in his uber 90% resistant composite armor, spamming multiple specials with his scatter pistol at you. You're a TKM wearing no armor at all, you could rush the BH, dodging/blocking his various shots. When he realizes that he's about to get hit hard, he tries to run. Unfortunately, that armor slows him down quitea bit, so you could still catch up to him fairly easy. This may seem a little unbalanced, but think, that BH could have decided to wear lighter armor, or no armor at all when entering that fight, instead of beefing up his resistances. Of course, there would have to be several changes to combat put into play, such as not being able to take off or put on armor during combat (which would make sense anyway).

Actually no you havent seen the new armor. You've seen the BH armor which is a subcomponent of Mandalorian armor. No one has seen mandalorian because the TC crew has not been able to get in and make any yet.

Well i dont know what it is like on your guys server but it is imposible to pvp with tka unless you have a full suit of stun armor with very high base effectiveness, and about 300k in food and drink along with a set of very god doc buffs and vks that are uber. I think the idea with the robe would be a very good idea as well. As long as it gave us some deffence and had low ham cost it would be very usefull for a tka conisdering it drains the mind pool to do specials with a full suit of comp on.

TKAs can already wear other armor. It would be a waste of Dev time to give us a "special" armor unless they were making "special" armor for all the other professions. Since I mastered, I've hardly worn armor at all. I wouldn't mind some quest schematics for SEA clothes (robe, gi, whatnot) but demanding special profession armor because some other profession is getting some (and it's not even exclusive) is mere childish jealousy.

Before you make a sad statement like this learn a bit about armor. There are people that train in real life to do full exhibitions in full samuria armor. Which by the way was a heavy plate armor. These guys do flips, sick spinning kicks the whole nine yards. And all of it in armor weighing over 100lbs.
