Bravo. I for one would like to see a response to previous quotes about Melee being an afterthought or a vanity class.

If I wanted to be a vanity class I'd have become an Image Designer

We've been slapped in the face imo and there has been no attempt to reconcile.

KD is not the only special with too high a HAM cost.

Thunderwolf:

I think that by training in the "Meditation" line, one should be given bonues that reduce the HAM costs for using specials.

This kills two birds with one stone:

-fixes the "barreness" of the Meditation line

-will reduce the crippling HAM costs for special moves (like Knockdown)

Is running and attacking on that list? Have the devs already ruled this out?

Thanks for cutting through all the rants and coming up with a coherent list, Thunderwulf, good job as always!

As someone else mentioned, HAM costs for all moves seem to have jumped. Since I can't play normally, I'll spend my time today testing them all and submit a report of my findings on the HAM costs for me as well as my relevant stats.

Excellent job Thunderwolf.
Well stated, succinct, and accurate.

Devs, realize that you are (for the most part) _getting_ as impartial and accurate a report as you can from the forums and the correspondants. We see obviously that you're effectively pro-rating our criticisms, but I believe that with few exceptions, nobody _wants_ to be an uber-class, they just want to be competetive. I wouldn't play the 'class that has everything' because it's no challenge; I want challenge.
Having said that, my confidence in the developers will be at least partially restored if they give us some proof that they're actually examining what we put before them. I'd be a lot less cynical with the 'we're looking at it' response, if you guys had not taken the opportunity to reverse most of the suggestions you actually addressed. 'We need lowered HAM costs', and you upped them. 'Posture changes need to be viable' and you trashed ours.
I'm calmer now than the day the patch came out. I'm going to extend to you (developers) the benefit of the doubt, suck up the greatly reduced rate of exp-gathering (I solo, mostly), and let you have another patch to see if you are capable of learning from your mistakes. If not, I'll ditch the character and find something less screwy to play, maybe crafting is sedate enough to stay relatively un-nerfed. Does anyone have suggestions on unlikely-to-be-nerfed classes?
I guess what I'm saying is that I've had a month and a half to learn how to play my character, and when I got a system down, you _blank_ed it up solidly, now I have to re-learn it.
In general (aside from losing my house and my backpack of emergency supplies, and my class getting boned, and the missions paying squat) I'm actually pleased with the new look of the interface, and the general balance efforts.

The thing is. All the things we submitted for the first report. Seems like up to now, they have not done anything to it but makeseverything worst. What guarantee do we have that this report will have any effect??
