Only problem is skill tapes are no longer dropping.

But the fact is that they may already exist or they can exist within the game. Similarly the same is true for skill enhancing armor attachments. That they don't drop now doesn't mean they don't already exist as they are within the mechanics of the game.

Actually, they are. It's just that grouping messes up loot drops (some sort of bug not sure of the exact cause). That, and the fact that the only mobs that drop loot like skill tapes are real tough NPCs. So, unless you are pretty darn good at soloing mobs that have a good chance of one hit killing you, you won't see many skill tapes.

One trick I have used (as a non-CH) is to use a CL15 pet like a cowardly gurreck to tank for me while I kill tough NPCs like Tusken Warlords etc. But what I DON'T do is group the pet. Still the skill tapes are infrequent.

One point I'd like to make. The term "cure" is vague. Meditation reduces the effects (lessens the damage) of ailments. They still run their course, but the injuries you get are lessened. Reason I'm stating this is that I was asked by a Novice TKA why the bleeding doesn't disappear the instant he starts meditating.

Basically, meditation doesn't remove bleeding, poison, etc.. It just slows them down and weakens the DOT.

It will weaken them and eventually cure it completely. Its basically a wound being closed. The bigger the wound, the longer it will take to heal. But the dot will reduce its damage until it finally stops completely.

I don't know what technique Tuskens use, but they open some fairly massive wounds in people. I got hit by a Warlord in the fort and it took about 20 minutes of meditating and having a doctor heal me till it stopped. The hole he put in me must have been the size of a cannonball.

I dont remember what kind of Tusken I went up against at Fort Tusken, but one of them proceeded to put a 1300 dmg bleed on me. 1300 dmg per tick. Took like 30 min with me meditating at med3 and a master Doctor to stop it.

It'd be great if they added those descriptions into the skill boxes.

Yeah, npcs can bleed you like no other. Luckily I'm all about pvp so the bleeds arent too serious unless you get hit by a melee bleed.
