Thread: Some data regarding Meditate

Direct observation: I have meditate I (one above novice TKA). I get poisoned, I kill the critter, I meditate.
My poison abates until it's gone.
This did not happen at meditate 0 (novice TKA)

I'm thinking the chart may be right. The numbers? Don't know, don't care. The effects though? If bleeding is the first effect, I bet you it happens at novice TK, which means poison at Meditate 1, disease at meditate 2, wounds at meditate 3... if the progression is one per level.

My character is a bothan, and I have no skillmods that I'm aware of.

TKA: 1/2/4/2, CH: 2/2/0/4, BE: 3/0/0/0, medic 0/0/0/4, scout 2/0/2/1, marksman 0/4/0/2.

Off topic, but... ...how can you be CH 2-2-0-4 and BE 3-0-0-0 if your Scout is only 2-0-2-1?

Scouting needs to be at least 4-0-4-0 for CH to open and 0-0-4-0 (with medic) for BE to open. Just curious.

Truisms are true, hold on to that! The solid world exists, its laws do not change. Stones are hard, water is wet, objects unsupported fall towards the earth's centre. If that is granted, all else follows.

If I remember correctly Bleeding is Novice

Poison is at meditate 1

Disease at meditate 2 and 'powerboost' or 'inflict massive mind wounds for fun boost'

Wounds is at meditate 4 and 'Force of will'

All meditate 3 gives you is an increase in effeciency in stopping bleeding, poison and disease, as the meditate value has increased. So basically nothing for quite a lot of unarmed XP.

If you read back through whole post again, you will see why the question on the value assigned to wound healing. And yep meditate 4 is wound healing, unless you have a +1 meditate bonus (skill tape etc) that you can use at mediate 3.

Yeah, npcs can bleed you like no other. Luckily I'm all about pvp so the bleeds arent too serious unless you get hit by a melee bleed.

You're not kidding. Fighting nyms the other day I got a mind bleed that took me over 20 reductions to fix. Also left me with 450willpowerwounds.

It's called typo. 4/0/4/1 for scouting (had 1 for forage, the rest were prereqs for BE and CH).

Main reason I posted at all was the initial posting giving levels that were not matching my experience, regardless of numbers. THe explanation that 3 will just be a 'filler' box is unsurprising.

This might be asking for a lot but I'd like to see it heal BF as well.

BTW what's a skill tape?

Thunder; is there any chance of getting HAM regen for Meditate? Maybe I'm the only one who thinks that it makes sense for us to get to regen our HAM, since we can regen wounds...?

I have noticed that my HAM regens faster while meditating. Instead of the usual 5 point tick, there is a secondary 6-8 point tick following it when I am meditating rather than sitting.

Also, if skill tapes or BE clothing were used to increase your Meditation Mod, would it be possible to get to a level where you would see more advanced results while still untrained in Meditation 1?

Don't let the sig fool you, I recently started a TKA on another server, to give me time off from the Investigation grind.

a master medic heals bleeding at the same rate a master doc does, the only proficiency a master doc gets is increased % wound healing and enhancements.
