Its amazing..all the pet haters say I dont need pets, ranged guys do because they have no defense.

Then they go on and say..just use doctor buffs, spice and the like..OMG what a contradiction....Tell me to get rid of my pets becuase they are too big of an advantage only to turn around and tell me too use a different one? What are you smoking? Dont tell me I dont need pets then start all thet stupid spill about doctor buffs and spices because you are using a crutch just like I am, only mine has four legs! You say "I dont need pets I can solo it all....BULL, your not soloing anything if you are using any type of advantage like buffs and drugs because you are being helped just like me, your not depending on your own stead to get the job done no more than I am when using pets...gimme a break!

I dont want to use buffs, or drugs or anything like that..I love my pets and I will continue to use them so dont sit there and tell people how to use your prefered advantage and tell them to give up theirs just because it is different! OMG what a bunch of hipocrites~!

OK good for you..you did great getting there..but I will make it in half the time because I can take creatures at my level that you could never take one-on-one without a pet.

I was taking Rancors at 2-2-2-2 with a Kiliknik Defender with only minmal damage and racking up XP like no ones' business...There is no way that you could have done it at that level not using buffs or a pet...and thats the point...when people ask "how do i get more XP" or "How can I make more money" The fact is they have to take on bigger creatures on harsher planets to get more XP and money and you cant do it alone!

You cant do it alone without buffs or pets..plain and simple...if you could then why would the devs even make buffs, drugs and pets...the whole purpose of CH is to have tanks to take the heat for you...thats it...so how can you refute their usefulness and relevantcy....you are going to need help at one time or another so dont blast us for offering EFFECTIVE and TRUTHFUL advice.

On buffing and spice...

I've never sought out a doctor buff, but I've never turned down a free one (as they're usually just thrust upon me). You don't NEED them.

Then you go on to call him a 'hipocrite' (ps, i'm tired of tactfully telling you that you can't spell. it's freaking hYpocrite, you use it like every other post, learn how to spell it ffs) and it seems once again that you are wrong. He's not a hypocrite for telling you that you 'can' use something but saying that you don't 'need' it.

To people who like having pets: great! I'm happy that you are happy with the game and it's enjoyable for you; some people like to rp owning a pet, some people just like that it saves their arse alot. Fantastic! But, it's not the only way!

And to those people (and i have a strong suspicion that it's only 1 person saying this, but i cant be certain so i'll be general) who say ''great don't use a pet. i'll get to master a month before you''... i went from novice to master in 10 days. i worked 8 hours a day for 7 of those days. i didn't use a pet. i grouped with a gunfighter friend. just us 2, no graul mauler or rock beetle. so... where's YOUR master title?

First of all, you are not the only one works 8 hours a day so there is no point telling people that.

We were trying to helping people to "solo" and get fast xp and money and that was the original purpose.

Yes I can make master in less then 10 days before they nerf knockdown. All I had to do is spam it and the mobs never gets up. You said that 7 out of 10 days you are not using pets so you must use pets when your gunfighter friend weren't there during theother 3 days, is that right? The thing is, not everyone has a gunfighter friend that stays online playing games 24 hours a day like your buddy.

The only way to getgood xp and money is to fight red con and take up higher level mission and don't tell me without medic skill and all that, you don't have to wait for mins. everytimes you finish ONE mob for your HAM bar to charge up. Even your gunfighter friend has medic skill and heal your H and A,you still suffer from mind damage. Don't tell me he's a dancer too. Intimidate works well, but it only less for 10 secs. or so and cost you 100+ HAM with or without VK. While you are doing that waiting for your HAM to charge back up, I have already complete my mission and took out everything around it.

The original poster suggest to pick up master brawler. Why should we waste our skill point to do that so we can tank 2 seconds longer than what we could without it? I would just pick up a non-CH pet for nothing and works out better. Doesn't matter how much melee defence you have,one or twored con still would drop your HAM to nothing, then you have to wait forit to charge up. Are you wondering now why I"m TKM and you are still fighting Bantha?? Not to mention that the original poster complains about the nerf. I think that is more annoying then anything. Yeah yeah yeah, they nerf nym's, they nerf giant baz nitch, I can't spam knockdown anymore. Find the alternative. That is why we still have majority of our skill point left after TKM.

Sometimes you just can't help people without others bashing on it. You may not interesting in our method of gaining XP and money but there are people who find it useful and doesn't like to fight bantha all the way to master. Why waste your time fighting bantha for 1000+ xp when you can fight something else for 5000 xp just as easy??? we still use our technic as TK, intimidate, stun, dizzy, blind, knockdown, unarmed hit 2,3so that we take out the mob fast, mob doesn't hurt our pet as much and we don't have much of downtime after each mob.

Just trying to help and that is what we get....

I personally don't use pets now, but I did, because I was a master CH. I didn't use buffs then. I use them now all the time...because I'm a master doc. My one guilty pleasure is entertainer mind buffs...but that's because my student is a master dancer and have you seen her? How can I not watch that?

I can totally understand the original poster's issues with non-Ch pets all over the place...I can't tell you how many times I'm ask to heal and buff pets...course I make good money from it (10k or so in one town run to get more missions). I feel the tinge to taunt the non-CH's because they seem to need them, and to challenge any graul I see to a duel (only lost once to a frenzied cause my powerboost wore off). That's their profession though, so I can't blame the CH's. More power to'm.

Why dont we just get this over with and go on a date because there is obvious some attraction here me thinks...and I do find you rather intriguing. Look alot of my typos are from bad typuing skills not lack on intellect..I have a AS in COmputer science and MS in Mass COmms and IT so I am not stupid I just cant type for crap!..I have big fingers ok. I know how to spell things I just am too lazy to go back and spellcjeck it.

Wow wow wow. . A lot of people are misconstruing what I've said I'm not complaining about any of the nerfs. I was bringing them to light. They effected my method of gaining XP, I had to seek alternatives. Also, I *DO* advocate doctor buffs. My main point is when making a TK Suggestion make sure that the suggestion involves the TK primarily using the skills he already has. Stop blowing my post up...It's not at all that serious. In terms of doctor a post that would NOT be advocated by me would be the same as CH by saying "First get TK and some medic/doctor skills..and then.." etc..No..If you were to say ok kill X creature using such and such, first off you'd never have to suggest a doctor buff. It's common sense you'll survive longer with more HAM. What I don't advocate is using a pet to fight FOR you, while you sit around whacking at it. I mean, sure you can do that if you want thats your business, but dont try to force it down everyones throat, because 95% of the TK strategies I've seen involved "first pull out your newbie pet" or whatever pet. No.Thats what im trying to say, PLEASE *READ* my post before you make up some retarded response just to satisfy your innate aggression towards other people on the internet. I've noticed a lot of people make posts with so much aggression and hatred before they even think about what the person was trying to say. Don't act like an animal. Read the post, digest it, then make a response. And why should you invest in Master Brawler? If you are focusing on being a MELEE character. It's imperative you have it. If TK is your supplement class, I.E. you are another class mainly and simply like TK as a secondary, then you won't need it. But if you want to optimize your ability as a TK, Master Brawler is very important.

If you don't believe me try fighting one. I've never lost, not once. And i'm not even joking. (Vs melee. It's much harder vs ranged but its still more do-able than without MB)

Nobody is trying to force down anyone's throat. We are merely trying to give suggestion to other TK as alternative to gain faster xp and more money. Yes, you dont' need a pet to do so but it will be faster and easier to gain xp and money with it. You are the one started a post telling everyone to shut up. Because of the nerf that you no longer able to spam knockdown for your method to work so you turn your anger to CH??? Who says everyone must stay melee at all time? If I would to pick between novice medic skill or mater brawler, I would go with novice medic anyday. Yes you may "optimize" melee skill that hits 3 hit point more than me and take 2 points less damage but unable to heal yourself in a long run will cost you.

Remember we are helping people so they can get xp "FASTER" and "SAFER". Fighting Bantha definitly not count as faster in my dictionary. You don't need to use it if you dont' want to but don't tell people to shut up.

you guys are all hard on him, and im sure he made reffereance to someones post, and offended someon, but the truth be said is, his main contenxt of his post is right on the money.

its irelivent if you suggest tips about leveling with pets, in fact its not really about the topic of this forum. there are no boareds that incorperate muti template boards. We simply talk about TKs and tk abilities.

so were are the TK and SL tips? and TK and smugler tips? see were im going with this?

The guy makes a valid point, suggesting to use pets, first off is not a TK issue, we should be talking about TKs tanking, and what mobs tk tank the best, etc etc.

Then he says that even suggesting sending a pet is in not a tip, and he flys off the handle...well in a way lol, hes right again, what are you going to do if you have a pet? have him watch you to get valuable hunting tips? no your going to send him in, that is no tip.

So you flamed thsi guy for basicly being 100% accurate in his post. i didnt read his last paragraph where h e was bashing somones post, so maybe that is the real reason for the flame, because the aucutal post IMO was right on target.
