TK doesn't need nerfing, and the abillity to stand while dizzy comes from combat equalibrium, not noobness. (hard to believe a tk doesn't know this). To the origonal poster, come to flurry and make a toon w/o the combat eq, and lets see how fast you stand while dizzy.

TK is even stronger when used in the background with fencer or 2h. I prefer fencer over tk and only pull out the sword when I need blast dmg, but add tk defences to the fencer dodge rate or 2h caand you wont get hit often at all.

I have. And it really isn't that hard. JUst don't spam stand. Do /stand...wait.../stand...wait. Dizzy knocks you down on a dice roll when you try to execute a posture change. So if you sucessfully stand...then try to stand again...back down you go. Do it slowly.

I think someone should start a patision against Nerfing TKA/TKM before the devs start to seroiusly considering the act. Other professions neeed to be fixed and balanced, so Nerfing TKA/TKM will just make another broken profrssions that will need to be fixed.

DEV's! STOP THE NERFING! START THE FIXING!

TKA TKM is balanced, you nerf this and you WILL break a profession. Fix the other professions that are unbalanced.

No more NERFING, your taking it way too far now.

We are the borg. Resistance is futile, you will be... *ZAP!*
Oh sorry, does your borg shielding not deflect my saber?

"As long as you can KILL YOURSELF from using your own special attacks, YES, you do need 3500 points to solo a dewback."

But that's simply false. If I do around 1500-2000 in my secondaries, even in composite and doing my strongest specials, my HAM doesn't drop much at all. If you limited buffs to about 1500 that's all you'd need.

you're quite right. two things need the nerf:

1. the ridiculous amount of accuracy riflemen have while running

2. armor

Beleive it or not, when running we hit maybe 60% of the time.

I'm TKM and I consider myself a good PvP'er. But I mostly fight Jedi

I have a PvP rating of around 1620, and TKA is my main PvP profession.

Hmm, I disagree witha post, tell them why I disagree and give a solution for their problems and I get one starred?

If you are gonna one star me, give a reason, if you didn't want to hear a solution you shouldn't have posted (probably wasn't the original poster but still).

3. Doctor buffs

Eh, I like being able to solo stuff. I don't like when dewbacks pose a problem.

I like to solo too.
But I don't use doc buff.

The only places I use doc buff are the one I don't solo. The place where you need a team.

The main and almost only problem of this game combat system are doc buff.

As long as you can KILL YOURSELF from using your own special attacks, YES, you do need 3500 points to solo a dewback.

Maybe after the mythical HAM Rebalance(TM) things will be different. But I'm not holding by breath - I look good IN blue, but I don't look good BLUE.

I can easily take ronto lairs (dewbacks are nothing) unbuffed with TKM, just get novice medic and a lifetime supply of Stim B's. A pikeman can't do that, they kill themselves in 3-4 hits. I killed nightsister stalkers unbuffed and unarmored as TKM, if you have a problem killing dewbacks you really should learn to use your specials and get yourself a stim B button.

Before specials came back I could survive indefinitely (until buffs ran out or I ran into an executioner/observer/...) at Fort Tusken while unarmored and with 2k buffs.

heck, you don't even need novice medic.. just patience. No one needs to spam specials, it just speeds up the process. go up against some stuff unbuffed sometime and see how little damage you actually if/when you even get it.

Why do we need a nerf, again? Any n00b with a brain can stand up from KD/dizzy if they don't spam /stand.

Just don't SPAM /stand.

Try to stand, wait a second, try again.

2 or 3 try max to get back on your feet.

Dizzy doesn't automatically make you fall, it just gives you a chance to fall. That's why you can still get up despite being dizzy if you're patient.

The only imbalance TKM has really is when its compared to Pikeman in toughness and damage. Against everything else, it's well balanced. The solution? Fix Pikeman.

We are amazing at mid to low end PvE, and we can tank really well against high end PvE but we can't kill it. And in PvP we are dangerous until the moment someone puts on armor with decent kinetic resists.

In other words, we have a lot of power, but it can be well protected against and countered. Basically we are balanced

The only thing I can think of that really needs to be "adjusted" for TKA as things stand at the moment, is the fact that you can master TKA very very fast. This isn't necessarily a bad thing, but it is out of line with the other combat professions a decent bit.

Quite frankly swordsmen was the fastest combat profession I ever grinded. TKA really isn't that fast. It only seems that way after you get novice :/
