Hehe...I love statements like these, they're so funny. You're telling this to people who have 0 minutes of buff to 0 pools as if it was a handicap to be able to boost 3 main pools for 8-10 minutes. Brings tears to my eyes.

TKA at the master level isn't over powered. The other melee professions are under powered and it gives off the illusion that tka is 'godly'.The other melee classes never got the attention TKA did, thats why they are lacking. But I suppose that it is easier for most to cry and whine instead of realizing the truth of the matter.

TK itself is fine and about the only balanced combat profession currently in-game.. it should be used as a baseline to bring others up, not as an anomaly to be 'nerfed' down.

The main problem's are KD and Dizzy, both of which require looking at the individual abilities (in general not just for TK) than at the profession that seems to use the pair to greatest affect, though a ranged KD from Smuggler or BH hurts..

i feel for you tk's. as a mch that went through balancing i know whta you are going through. if you are true to your profession you will adjust. and be patiant all combat professions will get balanced. that is why i am still mch, waiting to see if i cann hold up after all is said and done. i am playing a tk on shadowfire and enjoy it, but i still get pissed when 1 tk can kill me and my buffed lvl 64 pet in a minute. (my eclipse char. is mch doc pistoleer) maybe when all the professions are bablacned pvp will be fun.

cakins- terrible example using mbh and commandos. both of these professions have terrible, terrible defenses. almost non-existent in the case of mbh. have you stopped to think that perhaps these professions are gimped, and that the relative non-gimpedness of tk serves to highlight the disparity?

having been a master bounty hunter i can tell you that a master of any of the melee professions can and will take out a mbh if for some reason the mbh lets them get within range. unless of course the melee user doesnt know what theyre doing...

the fact of the matter is that the combat system is being revamped, and one of the first changes made was to finally implement defenses. now that defenses are in and making a dramatic difference on the field, the professions without defenses are really at a disadvantage. hopefully this will change. but until the combat reworking is done, i'd hold off on your channeling of the nerf bat.

also, having come from mbh, and having had only 33 sp left to dabble with, i can tell you that you should make the most of your ability to build a template that can borrow from many different paths. this is a skills based game not class based. arguing that any one of the professions by itself (mbh excluded, as it more or less is a class) should be more or less powerful than any other is redundant since the whole idea in this game is that you can take a little here, a little there, to make the template that you work best with. mastery of most elite professions requires 92 sp. so, you can master two of them, and still have many pts left over.

so you can pick two that go well together, and that you know how to work, or you can just pick two that sound fun and run with it. just remember that some combos will be more complimentary than others while other combos wont add well to each other (swordsman and pikeman dont have a whole lot to offer each other as a combo... hint hint).

so cakins you admit to cheesing that bleed feign death crap, and on top of that you are a master brawler master swordsman, and you cant take a straight TKM? you are an idiot. warcry2, lunge 2, bleed bleed, hell any combat class with wc2 and intim2 should be able to kill a tkm. i thin kthe problem is not that the other classes are so bad, i am taking up fencer and master brawler as we speak, but that the other classes are trying to fight a tk the same way we fight. we are not getting nerfed, i looked into it and we are just now getting to where the devs wanted us, and let them bring the other classes up, we are still the kings of close combat, always will be. and whoever said there DEV friend knew about us getting nerfed is full of crap too. QUIT WHINING AND TROLLING, IF YOU LOSE TO A TKM THEN IT IS YOUR OWN FAULT! and another TKM on here said we should admit we are overpowered, that is crap you traitor, we are right where we should be.

I'm TKM and I think it is almost right. As I said in another post - make this profession the benchmark for all others to reach in the balancing acts of the near future.

TKM and Master Brawler is an awesome combination but we aren't invincible (I don't have master brawler btw). However a lot of the reasons TKM own is becuase people use bad tactics against them. Let them in close and you're pretty much dead - that's the nature of the TKM profession: to keep Jedi in check.

However for those who want to teach a few TKM a lesson get Carbineer and the repeated infinite knockdown. A friend of mine turned from TKM to carbineer and could beat TKM even though he was only around Carbineer 2-2-2-2. Ranged knockdown and bleeds.

Let's bring others up to what they were intended to be rather than bring everyone down. CH is a prime example of nerfing gone mad. Let's not ruin the game for everyone becuase you've lost a few PvP duels. PvP is being reworked anyway tpo balance most fo the issues and then combat gets a rehaul.

Stop the Nerfing chants on all professions or we'll all be rubbish.

Hrm? What do defenses have to do with dealing damage?

I agree TK is just about a finished and polished product, nothing in the forums suggest nerfing, some tweaking yes, but not nerfing. now as for you whinners, go play in the street and whine about cars/speeders/grondas running over you while you play.

I know what nerfing is MCH, but i stayed true to it and am still an MCH. Just as i will stay true to the TK profession. no holo profession jumping. pick what you want and stick with it and learn how to use the abilities of that profession.

If you don't know your own class abilities you need to go back to novice and start all over, your only a master in title, a paper master is no master.

As for the bleed then feign death tactic, I have used it. However, you take an exponential amount of damage from the last hit that causes you to feign death. I got hit for 6,000 points of damage from a nightsister "torrent of enimity" force power once. Nevermind that the creatures will never leave you alone, even when they despawn........

According to the Publish 6 Patch Notes on Test Center, TKA gets even a little better, relatively, because DoT stacking is coming to an end.

Ok. Don't count on anything yet. It was a 31 MB download, and it may only be the first part of the patch. since TC has been down, none of us have been able to test out the new profession cahnges, namely the dots. This includes bleeds, burns, and even CM poisons. Wee will see how this works.
