Reading a post and understanding the meaning as desired by the poster are two different things. Thanks for the clarifaction. I find the tone of your posting to be slightly condensending. Clarifing a point goes alot further than insinuating ignorance of those that post things that oppose your viewpoint or flat out insulting intelligence. The first step in gaining respect is giving it.

To be fair, that's not stun damage. That's giving a MOB a stun state. Completely different thing. You might want to actually learn more about the game before posting. Thanks for playing son.

There are two kinds of "stun" attacks.

One is the stun attack that makes someone "stunned". That's like being hit in the head in real life and having trouble concentrating.

The other kind is a paralyzing attack, like being hit with a tazer or cattle prod. That is stun *damage*. I can't think of any real life martial arts attack that works like a cattle prod.

Electric damage is different from stun damage in that you are actually electrocuting someone as opposed to just shocking them. For example, being grounded would protect you from lightning but not a stun gun.

Giving stun damage to a martial artist is no more realistic than energy or cold.

You actually support my post and defeat Shin's (why he congrats you is beyond me). The "stun" attack as used in SWG OTHER THAN WEAPONS are defense lowering attack. This takes me back to my earlier post:

"Um.............we already have stun. If you asking for a higher (i should have put damage here) stun you almost need a weapon...which once again defeats the purpose of TKA. Once again looking from a prespective of limited damge type (kenitic) in a world of 80% armour vs kenitic that limits us to 45+ damage point strikes in a world of 3000+ ham what would a TKM do to survive. Id choke the blood from your brain THEN comence to kick the crap out of you. LOL. I think the other damage types we already have (stun, dizzy, knockdown) are fine. Once again a choke would be an enhancement, not a one-button-kill-all."

This is why I suggest something like a choke. I think it would be a nice addition as a Master Teras Kasi Skill and even out the playing field against Dots. I have to say again I think a HAM constricting affect for a period of time with a moderate chance of landing would not be uber nor a one-hit-kill-all. I personally dont see how a Stun in a paralazing effect can be implemented into a martial art form without additonal weapons. And I know of no martial arts that signifgantly use tasers and a main part of their education. Lol. Most Dim Mak strikes are nerve related which disrupt fine moter skills and can lead to loss of any/specific/or all motor functions including heart, etc.

The main point of my post was to suggest maybe a new idea for consideration to add to an already great profession. Not to get in petty arguments over meaningless opinions. Its a game. Lol

If you cant have a simple discussion without making insulting comments then maybe this game is too mature for you. You know there is a difference between disagreeing and insulting. I have presented a new idea and that is all. If you scroll back and read all of Shinigurai comments EVERY ONE of them has some sort of cut at me PERSONALLY, not JUST the aspect of choke. Why?. I have been polite but this is wearing at me. Like I said earlier this is my FIRST post on SWG Forums. If this is the kind of behavior that is condoned on these forums maybe I had the wrong idea here. That "son" thing drew the line with me. YOU DON'T KNOW ME OR MY FAMILY SO DONT YOU DARE MAKE COMMENTS LIKE THAT TOWARD ME. This IS a game. Your comments toward me had nothing to do with the game nor my point and post concerning the game EVERYSINGEONE is a cut toward me personally. Just give us a throat hit or something that can leech some ham points during a period. Would be funny to hit someone in the throat and they start puking.
