Thread: **THE BIG LIST**

Hmmm...I am a female and I have no problem wearing a cloak over shirts, bustiers, and other tops. What is the big complaint---that you can't equip it over dresses? You can't over flightsilts either, and a few other full body items. Men go bare chested, women go bare chested. I play on Starsider and I have never seen a woman wear a cloak with nothing under it....in fact they don't seem very popular for women in general here. I wore one over a small bustier when I first made them. What was the question again??

You are doing a spectacular job by the way!!! I am a master tailor and my big woes are:

--Wookiee colors (top on your list, I know)

--Revealing Bikini has a graphic bug? Has a big white splotch on the left boob

--the colors I had at tailoring 2 and 3 I lost when I became master....that was an unpleasant surprise

--cloaks, boots, gloves, hats, and dusters get limited palette....I think full spectrum would be better

And thanks whomever pointed out the spelling problems lol...the 'Clotheir' thing has been driving me nuts!!

For the life of me, I can't tell any visual difference between Leather Gloves, Link-Steel Reinforced Gloves, and the Artisan Leather Gloves. Am I missing some subtleties here?

For the hand-only full glove request, I use the schematics like this:

I use link-steel reinforced gloves when the customer wants a light, bright color (like white)

if they don't, I use leather gloves when the customer doesn't care about sockets

if they want four sockets, I use leather work gloves

Additions:
Sports Wrap is gender restricted, needs this specified in description instead of the standard shirt description.

Bandoliers, Shoulder Straps, Sashes, etc: Can not be worn with backpacks for no real logical reason, perhaps there's technical problems with layering them properly? In any case this makes them under used as most people prefer to have the extra storage from a backpack rather than a bit of decoration. I'd like to have both myself, if we can't then it should be added to the description that these items do use up the backpack slot so people aren't buying them without that bit of information.

Backpacks: Layering issues, Wookiees have any backpack equiped sink into their backs. These aren't supposed to be surgicaly implanted and grafted items, they're supposed to be worn and should look that way.

All Jewelry (rings, bracelets, necklaces) items: Unusuable by Wookiees inspite of the fact they have fingers, wrists, and necks on which to wear them. Needs to fixed so they can either wear them (with proper layering so it looks good over the fur and doesn't sink into the body like backpacks) or the restriction needs listed rather than the vague 'wearable by almost all races' or 'wearable on the finger (if you're a species lucky enough to have them'. Again wookiees have fingers, they've got patterned 'gloves' not mittens. Especially annoying for those playing wookiees since no rings means no marriage and misleading since the description doesn't give any clue they can't wear these items when logically they should.

Tight Jacket and Necklaces: Layering problem with part of necklace poking out through the jacket, necklace should either layer fully on top of the jacket to be completely hidden.

Weighted Wookiee Pullover with Weighted Wookiee Hood: Layering issues in addition to pallet problems with the pullover. Bottom of hood doesn't layer over the top of the pullover, most of the bottom vanishes under with bits poking through here and there. This should be fixed one way or the other, either have the bottom of the hood layer over the top of the pullover (my preference since it's more logical) or have the bottom of the hood completely vanish rather than the bad blending and poking out job of it right now.

Weighted Wookiee Pullover with Simple Waist Wrap: Layering issues in addition to pallet problems with the pullover. Bottom of pullover is covered by waist wrap (from what I recall from being a former wookiee), obsuring details that make the pullover look good, when worn with a weighted waist wrap all the details are seen properly and it looks much better. This is a vast visual difference in the look of the items, so much so that I still recall how much more pleased I was with the weighted pullover once I had a weighted wrap not covering things up. Logically the waist wrap should be wrapped directly about the waist under anything else, such as a pullover that's.. well.. pulled over the top of anything else that should be under.

'Tight Jacket and Necklaces: Layering problem with part of necklace poking out through the jacket, necklace should either layer fully on top of the jacket to be completely hidden.'

Typo there. Should've read:
Tight Jacket and Necklaces: Layering problem with part of necklace poking out through the jacket, necklace should either layer fully on top of the jacket OR be completely hidden.

Thanks for all the new info..

Okay calling all master tailors.. Can I get more info about this thing where you LOSE some colors from tailoring 2 & 3 when you become master? Is this true, and if so, can someone explain to me exactly what happens?

I have not noticed a loss of colors. I was disappointed that I did not get a flame red. I have a dark pinkish red and a burgandy red, but not a flame red as I have noticed in some dropped clothing and clothing that is pictured when you select it on the crafting machine. At the time I thought perhaps it was only on certain clothing that we got that particular color, but so far...nada.

The thing is, a lot of clothes, I think, should have a much better color selection...and we just don't get it. Like...the intricate dress should have a second color for the under layer. At this time we only have one color selection for that dress. Tailors, I would assume, could technically use any color combination for that sort of dress...we should not be limited to the lace color.

Has anyone managed to get 55 points of +clothing_customization off NPC drops to see if maybe, just maybe, that works?

Supposedly, its a 25 point cap, PER ITEM. So, 3 pieces of clothing with enough sockets should be able to get to +55.

One more that I noticed yesterday... the "Fashionably Pleated Skirt" is actually spelled "Fasionably..." so that should be fixed. I hate it when I forget to correct the spelling on an item like this when I make it... I feel less intelligent. =P

I noticed the "Fasionably Pleated Skirt" yesterday also. After I had already made about five of them.

Another complaint I have about it is that the color that shows up as its inventory icon is the metallic color 1 for the belt instead of the color 2 for the body of the skirt. Same problem with Dress Shoes, Light Bustier (maybe?) and probably many others.

Did not lose colors at Master.

Speaking of colors... ever look at how the colors are arranged when you go to colorize your chat in Options? Now if we could only get something like that.... <drool>

YES you lose colors.

At Tailoring 2 (its been a while) I got my first reddish tone that was not burgundy. I called it 'wine'.

At Tailoring 3 or 4 I got a deeper red. I called it 'ruby'....it did not match 'wine' and I was glad I'm a color freak and made the distinction when I named my items.

At Master I got a new red....which I am currently calling 'scarlet'. Guess what...it does not match 'ruby' at all...and I cannot make what I was calling 'ruby'. Nor can I make what I was calling 'cobalt' or 'forest'....greens especially this sucks since 'forest' was a deep emerald green. Now we have a olive tone (bottom set of greens) or kelly/green-blue set that is quite bright.

I am very very color sensitive...yes there is a big difference between these colors. If you doubt me tho, have different level tailors make their 'deepest' red, blue, and green in a basic item and then drop them side by side...you will see they do not match. And you cannot make the previous colors once you hit Master.

I wish I had taken screenshots...actually I have some items still from the former palates Alch..I would be happy to email them to you.

My palettes at master match those of www.thehonorempire.org/swg/nivea

There are exactly 200 in the largest one, as per +200 customization. I recall they seem to be granted in the order they show on pallette 5, 1 per skill point, from top to bottom.

Have not lost any colours to my knowledge, though once I reached III and got the bright pinks, I thought I had lost my previous redish colour - turns out it just looks brown in comparison.

Thus I must challenge any lower level tailor to make a ribbed shirt in a color I cannot, or I see no problem.
