Thread: Tailor Issues Designer responses
You assume we don't have a day job and can actually spend the points to go into Merchant
Found a skirt this morning that has the same problem as the sigiled waist wrap and pocketed shorts (can color two parts of the belt but not the main)
Forgot which one it was, tho. Near the end of the list...
YES!!!!! Please fix the tailor/armorsmith issues. I spent several hours trying to figure out the schematic numbers, but it would be soooo much easier to just be able to select them from the screen. Granted, it isn't as bad as the problems masters of both skills are having, but it is still irritating!
Thank you, thank you!

simple vest - overlayed with bright color so cannot get dark colors on it at all.
dress shoes - can only color the highlight of the black shoes.
two-strap bandolier - lots of browns and pinks that don't quite match what they come out as. how about some other colors?
I am personally glad to hear that these problems are being worked on. I have to sympathize with those that are having vendor problems. My son was a Merchant. Everyday something would happen. He would lose stock, get ripped off for money etc. and he just got to the point that he quit and was going to drop out of the game altogether. I talked him out of it and now he is just a warrior type and can be on fora couple hours a day and that is satisfactory. There is no way that you can be a successful crafter and make it to master on a couple hours a day. The competition is brutal.
I am especially glad to read that clothing decay is going to be implimented. But with it also comes clothing repair. This may have been a reason that the Devs didn't have it in there because they knew that both went hand in hand. Clothing Repair is a necessity for the person with 4 loaded sockets on that shirt and it is just about to fall off of his back.
To the person that said that tailors were the richest in the game. You are totally wrong. How many tailors do you see with a large house for a tailor shop? How many Weaponsmiths do you see with a large house? As I have seen, tailors usually have a medium house but Armorsmiths and especially Weaponsmiths are the ones with the mansions and tons of money.

how come :
moncals can't wear tipless gloves or long uniform gloves?
bothan females can't wear the grand healer robe?
wookiees can't wear wedding rings?
2 - Grand Healer Robe is a male only item (I think)
3 - Wookiees have big fingers? Don't like rings? (no clue on this one)
Okay, my turn!
I was a little disappointed that the first issue on the list that was "fixed" was the sorting one, when that was the one that was, in all honesty, the least important. One of the most important is the necklace issue, which has been going on since the beginning of the game. Also, the colour issue (restrictive palettes, inability to change some colours on clothing) makes it difficult for business. Telling the customer that there's nothing you can do about it doesn't seem to make them happier.
Master Tailors should have virtually NO restrictions, if that is at all possible.
As far as NPC drops...my boyfriend got a bright green Robe of Honor off of a mummer thug...which is absolutely ridiculous. In my opinion, Master Tailor clothing shouldn't be dropped at all. And the high-end clothing should be dropped by much more difficult NPCs.
Let's not even suggest things like catalogs now...these bugs really need to be taken care of because they honestly really negatively affect business. (Didn't sell a 12k credit outfit the other day simply because I couldn'tmake the boots and gloves royal blue.)
I definitely appreciate these issues finally being acknowledged...I hope they will get taken care of..as the soon you promised is passing by very quickly ![]()
