Very nice job Njessi. I think you said it very well. As for the negociation thing on the experimentation I think i either would leave it out or leave it in but stress on the fact that we need enough compensation:

- reduction of use of resources that are hard to come by (e.g. high quality wooly hides) to keep fair pricing for customers possible

- ability to run factory jobs AND have a wide selction of colors for customers (that would be accomplished by being able to set colors after crafting) to reduce the time for handcrafting sinceafter experiment implementation more time is needed for resource hunting

- Adding a proper decay system (clothes that "decay" from damage in a fight like armor and not only decay from death and /or, clothes that decayfrom wearing items)

- Adding to the value of wearing clothes. At this moment the value of wearing clothing consists of:

- Backpacks giving extra space (implementing some of the requests like bandos with space will increase value)

- Sockets (implementing 4 sockets arealways possible with experimentation and hig quality resources will increase value)

- Bonuses with tissues (expanding the different kind of clothing that can be added with tissues or introduce more types of tissues)

If they are only for "fun" people will not wear them as often as now if they get more expensive then low priced armor.

Again, Njessi, You are doing a fine job. Go get them

Guys like satchels too ya know We could use a "man-bag"

Keep the "optional experimentation paragraph" in there. At least they will know SOMEONE is discussing tailor issues with much interest.
There's a few things in the new schematic list I'm a little sketchy on being in a SW environ, but who knows what weirdness lurks in the hearts of devs?

**cough** guys alreadyhave a man bag **cough**

I agree with Gyopi 100%.

I also agree with the fact that skill tapes should be removeable.

As Rand alluded to: Make MasterTailors (and Master Armorsmiths) be the only ones who are able to remove the tapes. If you wanted too, you couldalso make Master Tailors and Master Armorsmiths be the only ones who are able to add them, too?

Skill tape removal is a valid point, however, ourprofession is in bad shape, and has been this way for months, and is getting worse. As Gyopi stated, we have SO manypressing issues on our plate that are crucialto the functionality of tailoring as a profession as far as gameplay is concernedthatsomething that is as immediately irrelivant as skill tapesjust doesn't fit in to the formula at this point in time.If you took a moment to glance throughthe Tailor forum, you'll realize that we don't have a top five, we have a top 20 becauseevery top five issue from the past has never been fixed.

If you're that passionate about it, you should take it up with ThunderHeart.

Good luck on your quest. [you'll need it]

Nice NJ,

Even addressed the issues tailors are divided on, and stated as such, rather than picking one side or the other. Very proffessionally done

(ie the experimentation thing im against )

Love the list, and hope they give itthe serious consideration it deserves

That is the most comprehensive explanation of our profession and the problems. Fantastic work, you should get an award for correspondant of the year!

I agree that skilltapes should be removable but.......

I've spent countless boring hours grinding my way to Master Artisan, Master Tailor and Master Merchant. Ispend time, everyday, making clothing to restock my vendors and the bazaar. I choose to do this but it's not nearly as much fun as hunting and exploring.

I've never come close to having "ten of millions" to spend on skilltapes or anything else. I want a cut of all these credits that I'm missing. Maybe it's time that we started charging excessive prices for our high socketed items so we can afford to spend millions on goodies? Or, maybe I should just follow the hordes of retired crafters and close my shop. It sounds like I could be doing a LOT better, and having more fun, hunting............

I have to admit that this socket problem has really bugged me. It just got me thinking that SWG isn't as fun as it used to be.

I would like to make one point a bit off topic here. I am so please and proud to be part of this community. I've seen other professions rip apart at the seams when faces with such adversity as ours. I find that the harder we get hit, the more we pull together and support not only our correspondent but also each other.

Thanks guys and gals for all of the support and we all know that N'j deserves every little push we can give her. It just amazes me how even when we are at our wits end, personally and ready to quit, everyone here will still say hey, we understand instead of.. can I have your stuff? (well most everyone lol)

I find it funny that the only strife I've seen at all has come from outsiders trying to get their voiced heard where they do not belong.

What about the possibility of adding experiment to componants in the tailoring profession? Instead of experimenting on the final product you could experiment on the syn cloth and so forth to increase the chances of getting sockets or something else?
