Tailor Archive
Thread: Our question: ANSWERED!
I hope all of you realize that this will only benefit the 5% or so of players who are tailors. The other 95% are getting screwed beyond belief. Some players have clothing at 0/0 condition with +20 armorsmith experimentation or +20 weapon experimentation. Some of us have multi million dollar clothing attachments in clothes when stuff decayed in pvp death. Sure I don't have a problem with bioengineered clothing worth about 30k becoming useless when it hits 0/0 condition but when my 20 million dollar robe becomes useless, I'm gonna be mad.
Tailors may rejoice now but this will hurt players more than help.

btw: who wears there crafting clothing into situations where it can decay? if i had a +25 to weapon experimentation piece of clothing it would remain in my house never to see the light of day.
it should also kill the artficial ubers who have combat tapes... if you lose the skills you lose em. it is not like they will never be recoverable - anyone can loot skill tapes and you are crazed if you spend 10 mill for a skill tape anyway....

Welwood,
Can you tell me what you do with your 80% or 90% adv. comp chest-plate filled with SEA's that went to 0/xx or had a crit failure on repair?
Blame Armorsmiths? I am sure you dont. Getting it too low is your own resposibility and a crit fail on repair is something we hate but learn to live with.
Why blame tailors for a fix? Why dont you go to the devs and discuss the use of SEAs?
I however agree on one thing. They should introduce this fix with a one time partial reset of the values of clothing so people can be more careful with their (valuable) stuff. I will try asking our correspondent torequest that reset with the devs.

I had a friend loot a pair of tusken gloves with +12 armorsmith experimentation with 100/1000 condition. He sold it for 20 mil. The guy who bought it was killed by a razor cat while near his factories and it went to 0/1000. No big deal the mod still applies. Too bad after patch 10 it wont. The fact is accidental deaths happen all the time.

I still wear a comp chest plate that got a crit failure and is at 0/0. It doesn't provide any protection but it has a +20 pistol speed aa in it that cost about 25 mil.
I'm not saying Tailors don't deserve return business. Of course they do. Maybe a way to repair clothes that works should be put in first?
Oh, you're a real riot.

This is a great improvement on the game as a whole. This bug is infinately more important than fixing broken classes, the entire gcw revamp, borked loot tables and the entire bh/de professions. I really appreciate all the hard work and effort that went into making sure that every peice of 150 credit clothing that I have which has been filled with 30 million credits worth of sea's will now be worthless.
I guess I can offset the cost of having boughtall those soon to be worthless sea's by never buying anything made by any tailor ever againfor any reason.Enjoy your soon to be fixed profession.
Thanks again.
