Patch should go live (if on schedule) sometime a week and a half from now.

Also a note about the factory crates, I was wrong about the stack size increasing, I had assumed high end armorsmiths got the same crate rate as we tailors but, alas, no My run of Fiberplast panetls yielded 25/crate

On a bright side, housing admin rights function properly, I was able to create and drop a vendor in my husbands home, and we both could interact with resources droped on the ground.

Another intersting thing I learned last night, not sure if this is new or not, if you select say a crate of fiberplast on the floor and then select the fiberplast of same type in you inventory and 'drop' it. the two will merge on the floor. Man that helps a bunch.

So, you mean if I have a crate of 25 synth cloth in the corner of my shop, and I target it and then drop the crates I'm carrying in my pack, they all stack together into 1 crate of 100, 125, etc. cloth? Cool!

Is there a thread that lists all the changes? What's with the factory "storage"? I can find a lot of references to it, but nothing describing it exactly.

Numtini,

Factory storage refers to openening up the output hopper (or is it the ingredients hopper?) and placing items inside it as a psuedo bank safety deposit box.

No, sorry I wasn't specific, items that CAN stack in inventor can stack in the house now. This does not mean you can consolidate your crates

Oh and you can not place stuff into your output hopper. I suppose you can put stuff into the ingredient hopper for storage purposes, but thats kinda defeats the use of a factory.

You could do that? I tried when I moved from my small to medium house aweek or more agoand it wouldn't allow it. I ended up with most things in the ingredient hopper and the rest on a friend's floor.

I never even tried doing stuff like that because my factory was so totally buggy the first several days I had it. I didn't want to give it any excuse whatsoever to quit with a "zero items produced" result, so I've been scrupulous ever since about putting only the precisely required amounts in the ingredient hopper and keeping the output hopper empty....

If they are going to nerf output hopper size down to only 100 - and crates still have a volumn of 5 - we HAVE to be able to consolidate things.

It would also be so much easier for big orders, smiths often come get 5 - 10 crates of cloth from me at a time, imagine if they only had to deal with one.

Not to mention storage issues - and database entries.

I can easily live with 100 limit IF stack sizes are larger - or can be made larger.

Tip:

For cleaning up clutter in the house, Drop a backpack.

You can drag and drop things into it. keeps the mess down, unless you are using supplies as decoration....

If they had picked a number that was a reasonable change that would be ok. But the factory can easily churn out 20 crates a day of synth cloth. As a casual gamer that means that my net productivity will be cut in half becuase I can only check and clear the hopper once a day...

That's so Whack!

We ought to petition to have the hopper size upped to at least 500, so that casual gamers who can only play on like 1 out of every 3 days don't get jacked... Don't get me wrong though, 100K was, well... a bit unreasonable...
