This is for any armorsmiths that may be wanting to know how far into the Tailor Tree you can go before you hit this schematic bug. I am a Master Armor Smith which had hopes of also being a Master Tailor as well. I chose Armor Smith as a first profession then picked up Tailor. As a Master Armor Smith I was able to get Tech IV, Formal Wear IV, ParaMilitary IV. I verified this is at least one combination that works by having the misfortune of grinding out xp at a public crafting station and not noticing that when I leveled I lost the high end stuff.. I ended up relinquishing Master Tailor and the entire Casual Wear Tree before I got my ArmorSmithing schematics back and the other High End clothing.

On another note I read somewhere on these boards that they are thinking of introducing new clothing schematics. Given SOE's stellar track record to date of forward thinking in regards to the crafting professions( takes moment to stop from laughing) If I was a Master Tailor I would be fully prepaired for SOE to implement new clothing without first fixing this bug. You can probably see where I am going with this in that if you are a Master tailor and train Novice Armor Smith ( Which grants a paltry sum of new schematics) you get hit with this bug.

Good Luck to all crafters weathring the storm of neglect

This really needs to be fixed, i'll be master tailor soon and i'd really rather not feel obliged to drop what i already have in armoursmith to be able to function.
SURELY it isnt that hard to simply split the crafting tool into two, a clothing tool and a armour tool. It cant be that hard, if it is something more to it than that, then for gods sake let us know!

The 'workaround' of /selectdraftschematic is not adequate and way too timeconsuming.

Couple more tips for dealing with this bug.

1. Putting in the time to put together a very well organized spreadsheet that you can print out to quickly look up schematic numbers is essential. Mine is categoried by clothing type (i.e. pants, dresses, skirts, footwear..) and then alphabetized. So I have two pages with my tailoring schematic numbers and one page for my armor schematic numbers by my computer. It also has my prices, so I'm looking at these pages all the time.

2. Not sure how common this is, but I noticed that as I train some of the armorsmith boxes, I'll get the new schematics in my datapad, but I can't pull them up in my clothing tool, even using /sel. Strangely, all the schematic numbers shifted by one, as well. Don't get frustrated if this happens. Just relog and everything will be back to normal and you can access the new schematics.

Solid advice there, thats what i do as well. 2 columns. Left side is in order of schematic number, right side is in alphabetical order. Lifesaver

Also seemed to me that when i trained personal 1 above novice, i regained some of the Dom Arts schematics as well. funky

But, shamless BUMP because this bug is still very much in existance - i've been an Armorsmith since saturday night, a Master tailor for a month now, so it hasnt 'gone away' magically.

I did the exact same thing. Since I had to go through and catalogue everything anyway, I made it into my pricing and resource sheet as well. Very handy, though I must say that I probably wouldn't have gone this far if I hadn't had to ::HINT:: FIX THE BUG ::HINT::

It makes it all the worse that I would like to share my list with others so they don't have to go through this painful process as well, but the rotten truth is I can't... no one can. It all depends on what order you got the schematics in

i probably should do my daily posting of contempt at the lack of response on this issue in the morning so there's an offchance that Holo would actually see it...

But i keep forgetting.

You know, like how they keep forgetting to fix or address it.

I'm at wits end here trying to figure out how to go about all of this. The bug is a pain in the rear for tailoring, but for armorsmithing it's a complete nightmare. When using /sel to choose a schematic, the one that appears does not show the experimentation values for armor. I'd call it close to crippling. With swgcraft.com being down, I'm having problems finding a reliable site that lists experimentation values since I can't see it in-game in my crafting tool.

/Bump as well.

I'd at least like to hear an ETA on this. Is a fix going to be attempted next week? Next month? Never? What kind of fixes are being explored--increasing the number of schematics per tool, or making two different tools for AC/Tailoring?

I need to decide whether or not I need to ditch Armorcrafting, and start re-earning the xp for the skills I surrendered getting Engineering I-IV, novice Armorsmith, and a level1 skill box in Armorsmithing before I discovered this bug.

I put up my own post about this earlier today enve though I know this and other posts are floating here about this issue, it's a complete joke that this is not acknowledged by the devs in terms of a fix.

Just became Master Tailor today, been Master Armorsmith for a while now, had to grind half of the Tailor tree due to this bug, I love telling people in game, "uhh I cant see what I'm doing, I have to guess at which /sel # it is", they think I'm nuts

Oh well......

I'm with ya on that one, Jakk. I'm gonna have to come up with some hotkeys with some text bound to them that explains what the issues are, so I can use those instead of repeating myselfcreatively 100,000 times per day
