Thread: Tailor/Armorsmith Bug!
Dear SOE,
This is borken (sic)...please fix. These sorts of bugs are inexcusable...even in a late beta product like this.
At least you finally fixed Slicing IV. That only took two months to change two lines of code. Sigh.
-Harcourt Mudd, Tailor/Armorsmith/Master Architect, Restuss, Rori, Tempest
-Lens Larque, Master Smuggler/Master Merchant, Theed, Eclipse
Hate to keep driving this one home but... it needs to be for us that want to actively pursue the dual elite profession. I guess the amount of people complaining isn't enough? I can't imagine it would be that difficult to even hotfix. I was lucky enough last night to only have to craft a few wookiee items. Other than that I'm at a standstill and actually taking a break from hardcore tailoring until this gets fixed.
Yeah, you can tell by the devs responses to Tailor issues, that we are a non important class in the game to them.
Look at the responses to the Correspondents thread. That tells you alot.
"What we didnt know that, is this still happening?"
They have no clue what is wrong with tailoring, and even less interest in fixing it.
Obviously none of the devs have ever played a tailor, "oh we thought this was gone in beta"
They have never attempted to fix our profession, now if we could find a way to do some kind of exploit with tailoring, we may recieve attention.
Because in the state of this game, it's all they can do to try and keep up with the exploits, from a poorly coded game.
So come on, let's think of something. Krayt tissue bustiers, +25 to......
well, sorry for the rant, but i've pursued and mastered 2 other professions waiting for them to fix this bug. Face it, it's not gonna happen. It has been in the game since inception, all through betaand they dont understand it....sheeesh incompetence at a minimum.
irreverant at max.
Go read the dev tracker and you get multiple responses from Holo about unlearning a language. Ok, did I miss something. No comment.
Devs, just tell us something, say something anything even just "Hi, we know about this and arefixing it". Is there a response such as that? If so post a link, I gotta read something positive, grrr ![]()
Weaponsmiths and tissue sample additions to theyre guns.
I just have to say LMAO,
yeah lets work on the weaponsmiths ability to use tissue samples, ignore the fact they have never worked with tailoring, But by golly theyre gonna fix it in regards to weaponcrafting.
Exploits are the only way to garner attention, we must find some to get our turn on the devs list of fixes.
Are there any tailor exploits? lol
Wait, I can only make a simple shirt, that HAS to be an exploit! ![]()

look it up in your datapad, all the requirements and experimentation values show up when you select a schematic in the datapad.
Might as well get used to using workarounds since SoE is more worried about the overpowered commandos and nerfs at the moment.
With all the different types of armor I have to choose from, it's the inconvenience of having to either:
1. memorize experimentation qualities
2. create some additional fields in my already-elaborate spreadsheet and take the time to write all this down
3. or get too irritated and just ignore it and go on instincts
Checking these things on the datapad each time I make a piece of armor just isn't really an option. I do not have the world's greatest PC right now (I started, and stayed, on Rori because of the smaller, less-lag population). Until I can afford a new system, I am not going to go out and buy a chunk of RAMBUS just so I can open my datapad more easily. Not sure about any of you guys, but when I open my datapad to my 350+ schematics it causes such frustration from the lag of just trying to scroll through the list that I either end up throwing things, or swearing I'll never play this game again. Well, I don't usually follow through with those last two options... but the sheer fact that my chosen professions make me so angry that I don't even want to log in really makes me think twice about playing each night.
i didnt say it was perfect. I didnt say it was fun. I didnt say we should have to do it. i believe i said:

yep thats what i said. I agree its a pain in the butt, i agree that it is absolute BS that it is neither getting fixed nor addressed.
Prove me wrong sony.
