/bump

Kind Regards,

bump -
this bug is not fixed as of the 9/4 patch
ridiculous
HOLOCRON, VASS, Q3PO, what in the heck is going on?
This is beyond imcompetence, do you need someone to walk you through the bug?
Message Aenea on flurry if you don't understand the bug, and I'll explain it once again.
If you are a master tailor and a master armorsmith, you lose access to the majority of your schematics anytime you are near a crafting station.
If you drop armorsmith (completely) you get access to most of them back. Them magic number seems to be around 256 schematics maximum that you can load in the crafting tool at a time, then you get a wrap around effect that causes them not to show.
And no, I can't make anything.. I have to use /selectdraftschematic and type in a number, which takes me hours to make stuff that another tailor can make in 20 minutes.
Good job sony.

might be best to bump this in the SWG discussion board most likely to get noticed there.

funny, i didn't even get to be anywhere NEAR master armorsmith - i picked up novice and lost access to my schematics.
/selectschematicblah doesn't work for me either since (and i don't see many other reports of this??) whenever i'm near a crafting station and try and open the tool it says "there is nothing you can craft with this station"
and it doesn't even bother opening the tool up...
I refuse to use the work around. /selectDraftschematic is very annoying to use.
FIX THIS BUG!!
This is terribly bad news, and I even talked about this to a chat SCR a few days ago, who answered that they believed this had been a beta issue, but was fixed when the game went live and that if it was still occurring, please "/bug" it =(
Anyhow, also in answer to the "how far can you move up the tree" question.....I am a Master Armorsmith, have Tech 2 (and climbing), and Field Wear 3 (nothing in formal or casual wear) and have not noticed it yet. I will be working on the tech line for a bit so am hoping they fix it before I advance much more *sigh*
I hope that someone is seriously looking into this. This bug has turned crafting armor and clothes into a painful proposition. Sure there's a workaround, tedious and time consuming as it is, but that's really just not good enough.
There's an old thread on this that explains the problem pretty well. Pretty much all the crafting kits are limited to 256(1byte) schematics(it should be a easy fix right devs? either make it 2 byte or use 2 kits, 1 for Armor 1 for Clothes). When you are going after both Master Armorsmith and Master Tailor you will go pass this limit since they both use the same crafting kit. And what you get is the overflow.
When you will hit this bug depends on which master you going after first. Because Tailors have many more schematics than Armorsmiths, a master Tailor will pass this 256 limit the moment he/she picks up novice Armorsmith, while a master Armorsmith can go quite far up the tailor line before hitting this problem.
This is a very annoying bug that have been in the game for a long time and needs to be addressed immediately. A lot of folks are masters now and are bored of their first profession and want to explore a second. Many master Tailors want to try Armorsmithing and master Armorsmiths want to try Tailoring, but can't proceed due to this bug. I'm too held up by this bug. ![]()
As for the work around "/selectdraftschematic #" it does work... but not only is it a slow process,it's alsobugged so you don't see the experimentation values for the item so you can forget about using it to make armor.
Anyways, here is a tip to speed up your daily restocking, custom orders, etc., if you are dealing with this bug.
Instead of typing out /selectdraftschematic, use /sel instead. Much, much easier.
I got a little taste of what colors i could have if i had armorsmith and master tailor by checking out what i got with bone armor.. shame i can't be an armorsmith too heh...
